@wallyrag Welcome. Congratulations on your BFP!

@marplemead That's so nice, they are so caring at that age. I have that same feeling too. They will be amazing big sisters! Oh I know, I can imagine me flying down the road running late most mornings.

@Greenrubber that is so exciting. It feels so real now we are talking about the baby as a family.

@PumpkinEverything I hope you manage to find lots of things to keep your mind occupied over the next few days.

@Firevie not long until your scan now too!

@lamby12 so glad everything went well today. What a great way to start the weekend. I had one at six weeks and she couldn't see the heartbeat so had another at 8 weeks and then a private one at 10 weeks as my dating scan wasn't until 13 weeks. I think it is good to break it down a little bit when you're anxious, my husband says he'd rather we paid out a little bit of money than have me stressed so I'm good with that.

What date is your scan again @Pancakes7 sorry can't remember.

marplemead · 26/03/2021 12:43

@lamby12 that's wonderful news! I'm so happy for you! ❤️

@wallyrag Welcome and congratulations on your bfp!

MrsTD88 · 26/03/2021 12:43

Welcome @wallyrag and congratulations! I feel my symptoms are worse now at 13 weeks than they have been at any other point so far... I think I have worn myself out mentally with worrying something is going to go wrong. Will you be having an early scan?

Pancakes7 · 26/03/2021 12:53

@MrsTD88 Tuesday 13th April ❤️

MrsTD88 · 26/03/2021 13:08

@Pancakes7 oh fab, not too far away. How exciting we're all having scans now.

Pancakes7 · 26/03/2021 13:10

@MrsTD88 It feels like forever! Still over 2 weeks. I should be keeping busy though the next couple of weeks. I start work on 7th April so that'll keep me distracted.

Ladies, what are our Friday treats today? Just had healthy salad for lunch. Now thinking about what to have for dinner. I’m think in g maybe pizza?! Xxx

Pancakes7 · 26/03/2021 14:13

@vitaminb33 With how I'll I have been this week. I've been living off toast and butter. Today I've managed a cheese sandwich again lol. I'm back to a constant sight nausea lol.

@Firevie I have got 2 x custard slices though 😋

OP posts:
Firevie · 26/03/2021 14:17

@Pancakes7 oh no sorry to hear hun! I have no nausea just slightly sore boobs still and I think I have put on weight and can see a bump. So unfortunately I’m still eating everything lol savoury sweets everything but trying to get 5 fruits and 5 veggies in too. Xxx

marplemead · 26/03/2021 14:18

@vitaminb33 When I was like this, I ate lots of bland/carby food - anything potato or bread based. I have a stash of lollies in the freezer and they help between meals. Eat whatever you can.

@Firevie I'm desperate for a takeaway curry, but think I will save it for when I can properly enjoy it. I had a veggie hot dog for breakfast Blush I really fancied it so DH fried up some onions to go on top. I was good and had a carrot & lentil soup for lunch. Our meal plan says kedgeree tonight - I don't really fancy it but it's a healthy recipe and the fish needs cooking.

Firevie · 26/03/2021 14:33

@marplemead yumm v healthy! I feel bad craving a pizza now haha! Xxx

Smurf123 · 26/03/2021 15:10

@Firevie I ordered a Chinese last night.. Didn't eat much by the time it arrived thought it was lovely... Planning on reading the test tonight 😀
So hospital phoned today they've managed to get me booked in for Monday at 9am which is actually the same day and time I had so I was worrying over nothing it seems. Though they haven't mentioned a consultant and I am supposed to be consultant led care due to history so hoping I do get that

Cafeaulait27 · 26/03/2021 16:15

Urgh having a bit of a low moment today. My friend text and said she is expecting her second baby this October - same month as I’ll be due (if all goes well at my scan next week)

She knows about my first mc, has never had one herself and had one healthy child. I am thrilled for her but it made me cry and now I feel even more nervous for my scan.

If all goes well it will be amazing to have babies the same age and go through all that together - but equally what if my scan doesn’t go well? How the hell will I get through it with a friend due at the same time I was due 😔 it’s bad enough having 2 colleagues that are due around the same time as my first pregnancy would’ve been due 😩

Does anyone else feel like they’re in some kind of awful race?! I don’t know how to describe it but that’s how it makes me feel. I just want it all to be ok 🤞

Cafeaulait27 · 26/03/2021 16:21

I should also point out she was really lovely about it when she told me and really supportive when I had my mc. She’s done nothing wrong at all.

I just can’t stop crying now 😞

Bellabubble · 26/03/2021 16:31

@Cafeaulait27 it’s really hard, but perfectly normal to feel like it! I was exactly the same - my first pregnancy I was due 2 weeks after one of my best friends, and she had a happy full term pregnancy whilst I mc in the feb, then our other best friend announced she was 7weeks pregnant in the May (she gave birth this feb) but I think it really helped me that both didn’t really give me to much pregnancy chat - especially after my second mc in Nov. Because they both knew of my mc’s they were actually really thoughtful, and it gave me space to process it, as I was really happy for them - but felt so sorry for myself! They let me ask about them instead of telling me lots about it which was a big help! It’s completely natural to feel that way too - when you want something so much, and can do everything right but still not have a guarantee - it’s hard to not get worried or anxious, and as you see pregnancy announcements around it can really get to you - just take your time and be kind to yourself! x

marplemead · 26/03/2021 16:34

@Cafeaulait27 What you are feeling is completely normal. I think it's hard to have people around you who are pregnant at the same time, because you worry that you will be the unlucky one. But try to remember that their pregnancies have no bearing on what will happen with yours. What day next week is your scan?

Cafeaulait27 · 26/03/2021 16:41

Thank you guys ❤️ Scan is on Thursday at 2pm.

It’s made me feel like I just can’t be bothered to do anything and just want to curl up in a ball! I’m working until 5 and I’ve hardly done anything this afternoon since I got the news, I just can’t concentrate. Hopefully I’ll be able to relax and Thursday will come around quick xxx

Bellabubble · 26/03/2021 16:42

@Pancakes7 @PumpkinEverything @marplemead @Greenrubber @Firevie @MrsTD88 @JRH4622

Thank you - it was so lovely to see the bubba, but I was a bit sad my pic came out so stretched (such a ridiculous worry after my history lol!) They said Inwas 12+5 on Monday (my tracker app, and the fact we only dtd once due to my husband getting a bug put me at 13+1, but they assired me 3 days either way is no big deal!) We decided not to find out the gender - we have our names picked either way, but it will stop me going to crazy buying stuff before hand - and when maternity pay hits we’ll be on a budget so it will encourage me to be sensible 😂 I know me - I genuinely used to be as bad as the main character in all the cofessions of a shopaholic books!

Smurf123 · 26/03/2021 16:48

@Cafeaulait27 hope you are OK! It's completely normal how you are feeling.. I think we have probably all been there at some point. Hopefully not too long to your scan!

@Bellabubble great news on your good scan 🙂 exciting times

@PumpkinEverything can i ask was your partner allowed into your scan?? I'm not sure whether things have changed here in ni to let partners in for scans or not. I was originally told for my 12 week scan that dh could wait in the car and once I was in the room he could come in but he couldn't come into waiting area.

Cafeaulait27 · 26/03/2021 17:02

@Bellabubble used to love those books!! Xx

PumpkinEverything · 26/03/2021 17:37

@Smurf123 glad you’re all sorted now! As far as I know my husband is allowed in with me. He was allowed in to window to the womb, and then when we went to Antrim epu he had to sit in the cafe waiting area and she went and got him after she’d went over my history. It’s Antrim health centre I’m going to for my 12 week scan and the letter doesn’t mention partners, but whenever I was there in November he was able to come through the whole thing with me (thankfully since it was bad news!) and no one said anything? So I assume all is fine!

@Firevie I’m so jealous of your 5 fruits and vegetables as I’ve been pretty ridiculous today and feel ever so slightly guilty 😂🙈 I had Golden Grahams for lunch, then a French baguette with dairylea spread and cheese and onion crisps inside, plus a white chocolate reeses. An hour later I was still hungry so had a kinder milk slice... then another bag of crisps and a Lindt 😳 for dinner we’re having homemade wedges and really nice veggie burgers my husband makes. All nice food, but absolutely nothing nutritious 🙈I’ve been very badly behaved with my food the last few days and I’m not sick so can’t even blame it on that!

I’ve had such a weird day. So I know I shouldn’t have done this, but I watched a few YouTube videos from people who’ve had missed miscarriages as even though I’ve had one it still worries me and I want to know if there’s more info I don’t know 🤦‍♀️ But it hasn’t even got me really anxious, I still feel oddly calm about the whole thing. Still feel like the anxiety is coming for me though. Also feel like I’m maybe a bit moody today as I’ve just went for a walk with my husband and I feel like no matter what he said I was arguing with him 🤦‍♀️

Pancakes7 · 26/03/2021 18:21

@Cafeaulait27 I completely understand. I got pregnant last year and was due this Feb. I had an mmc. Then 3 of the mums from my NCT group all got pregnant. Due March & April. Each announcement really hurt. I was happy for them but it really made it even harder for me. One was my close friend and she didn't mention anything about her pregnancy unless I asked. She knows I'm pregnant now. It's good for the support. ❤️

Good luck for Thursday. X

Thanks @PumpkinEverything hopefully it's OK for him to come on Monday

PumpkinEverything · 26/03/2021 19:01

Fingers crossed, just bring him @Smurf123 and see if they say otherwise. Surely it should be fine though 🤞🏻
