@MrsTD88 cute scan pic - I had mine on Monday, but he or she had hiccups again and kept hiccuping whenever the lady took a pic so they look a bit stretched out 😂 hopefully my 20week scan will be during a nap time 🤞🏻🤞🏻

@Bellabubble oh how lovely 😍 our little one was very active too, the sonographer done the measurements a few times and they kept changing.

Pancakes7 · 26/03/2021 06:57

@Bellabubble Aww lovely scan pic! Is this your dating scan? How many weeks did you measure as? So cute that that had hiccups.

Greenrubber · 26/03/2021 07:10

@Bellabubble
That's a great scan pic! Will you be finding out the gender?

Firevie · 26/03/2021 08:06

@Bellabubble that is such a cute scan pic. How far along are you? Apologies I forgot. I can’t wait for my scan now next Tuesday. Usually I had them every two weeks but this time it’s been longer as we will do the harmony test on Tuesday, too and I am anxious to see my baby now. Xxx

JRH4622 · 26/03/2021 08:25

@Bellabubble super cute picture!! Glad all is well!
All these scans is making me want an early one!
@Pancakes7 not long now...so sorry you feel rubbish, hopefully it is a good sign!

marplemead · 26/03/2021 09:30

@MrsTD88 That's so sweet! How do you feel about the age gap? I know we won't have had a choice with our losses, but I think it's a really good one. Will your DD have started school by the time the baby is born?

@Bellabubble That's a lovely scan photo.
I remember the sonographer telling us at DD's 12wk scan that she was hiccuping. I had no idea they could even hiccup in there. It's amazing when you see them moving around like that. When is your 20wk scan?

MrsTD88 · 26/03/2021 09:52

@marplemead I agree, I think it is a really good age gap. She is already telling family she is going to help change nappies etc. Yes she starts school in August (we are in Scotland) so she should hopefully have settled in by the time baby comes. What about your little one?

PumpkinEverything · 26/03/2021 10:20

Aw great photo @Bellabubble so cute they had hiccups 😂

Good luck today @lamby12 hope you don’t have too long of a wait!

That’s so annoying @Smurf123 😔 hopefully you hear back from someone today so you know when you’re booked in for, hopefully next week still 🤞🏻

Can’t believe it’s Friday and I’ve made it through the week keeping my anxiety mostly at bay. Hope it continues 🤞🏻 Trying hard not to overthink things but it’s very difficult. Had a few stomach pains yesterday but they went away and I’m hoping it was just gas. Not really feeling too pregnant this morning, my stomach isn’t as bloated as before and feels like whatever sort of ‘bump’ that was forming has flattened a bit. Trying to keep as positive as I can and remind myself there’s nothing I can do right now, whatever will be will be and I’ll find out on Wednesday. I actually don’t want a private scan before hand as I think it would just make me anxious, and that I’d feel better just leaving it to my nhs one. I did have a look at window to the womb where I went last time and they’re all booked up until after my nhs one so at least it’s not an option to tempt me!

marplemead · 26/03/2021 10:21

@MrsTD88 Aww, my DD keeps talking about how she will help with the baby too. It's funny, because she's been my only baby for so long - it's made me realise how grown up she really is. She'll be starting school in Sept, so similar. We should get a bit of time to get her settled in before baby arrives. I'm not looking forward to doing the school runs with a newborn!

marplemead · 26/03/2021 10:26

@lamby12 Thinking of you 🤞🏼

@PumpkinEverything I think you're right to not overthink things. It's hard though. I've got my dating scan next Wed too. What time is yours? Mine is at 7.15pm. This is the first one DH is allowed to come to - he's really excited.

PumpkinEverything · 26/03/2021 10:31

I’m trying to keep myself as busy as I can @marplemead and not let my mind wander. I know once my anxiety comes that’ll be it until the day though so trying to enjoy it while I can 😂 mine is at 1:30pm, I’m off that day so hoping to try and sleep in a bit (although my husband is working at 8, doing a half day, so will wake me!) and then see if I can get out on a walk or keep myself busy while I’m waiting. My husband thankfully has been to my two early scans and can come to this one, so I’m really glad he’s been allowed!

@PumpkinEverything
I hope your able to enjoy your pregnancy more after this scan on Wednesday! Maybe the anxiety you have is making you feel a bit crappy also I alway felt sick when I was stressing & didn't sleep well which is never a good mix
I've really noticed I'm enjoying mine now as everything seems to be fine. I don't have my next scan until 20 weeks which is the end of April but I'm hoping I should start to feel her move before then I'm already sure I've had a couple of flutters

Does anyone know why you get a scan at 34 weeks now? My midwife has booked me in for one but I'm sure your only supposed to get 2 with a normal pregnancy or is it because I'm old

marplemead · 26/03/2021 11:06

@Greenrubber I'm glad you're enjoying the pregnancy now - that's how it should be. I think some NHS trusts offer a routine 3rd trimester scan to all women. Or possibly it's something that came up at your booking appointment that would suggest you may need one? Age can be a factor.

vitaminb33 · 26/03/2021 11:11

Thinking of you @lamby12 ❤️

I know this has been asked before but what's everyone been managing to eat? I'm rapidly running out of things I can stomach

Greenrubber · 26/03/2021 11:12

@marplemead

Thank you! It is nice my DD who is 3 is so excited about it all and we have started to talk about her sister and not the possibility of a sibling

Pancakes7 · 26/03/2021 11:22

@marplemead & @PumpkinEverything Oh how lovely that your little ones are excited and wanting to help With baby. My DS is too young to know bless him. Not long till your scan now @PumpkinEverything must must be so excited. Mine still feels so long away. Still 2 1/2 weeks to go.

@Firevie exciting your scan is on Tuesday. I bet you can't wait.

@Greenrubber i'm so glad you're enjoying your pregnancy now. I can't wait for my dating scan as I feel like after that milestone I can fully enjoy my pregnancy too

OP posts:
Greenrubber · 26/03/2021 11:24

@Pancakes7
I hope it comes quicky

lamby12 · 26/03/2021 11:38

Successful first scan! Thanks for good luck. She actually saw everything plus heartbeat with an external scan but I seemed so sceptical about that being possible she did an internal too. Everything was looking great and very visible heartbeat.
Trying to relax a bit now because I got myself quite worked up this morning. Still aware its only 6 weeks and there's still a delicate time ahead now but I'm glad there's really a baby in there with a heartbeat. Feeling cautiously pleased.
Once OH has his shifts next week for April I'm going to book another one for around 9 weeks to give myself a closer milestone than the dating scan.

lamby12 · 26/03/2021 11:39

....and now as soon as I got back from the scan I'm worrying I feel no cramps or sickness.... endless worry isn't it!

vitaminb33 · 26/03/2021 11:43

Oh amazing what brilliant news for 6 weeks @lamby12! Sounds really really positive

wallyrag · 26/03/2021 12:20

Can I join? I'm 5+1, I feel that I'm just waiting to bleed.
My symptoms vary. I've done over 20 tests in the last 11 days, and getting good strong due stealers.

Pancakes7 · 26/03/2021 12:23

@lamby12 Wonderful news! Amazing she could see all that with an external scan at six weeks. Don't worry about symptoms coming and going it's completely normal. I didn't feel sick till about 7 weeks.

JRH4622 · 26/03/2021 12:32

@lamby12 Amazing news!! Soo pleased for you!! xx
@wallyrag Welcome! Congratulations on all your tests! Oh its a horrible feeling...I think everyone on here has felt like that or is still feeling like that!
