Amazing news @HereWeGoooo !! You kept that quiet haha. I'm so glad it was good news.

@imisscoffee Sorry you've been feeling ill. It's good you're better but a shame you still feel sick. If it's severe you can get tablets for it from your gp.

I had my bloods today. Midwife was so good. It was really quick and I didn't feel it tbh! Another step done! Countdown to 12 week scan!!

@imisscoffee sorry to hear you’ve been poorly! I’ve found a lot of children in class are getting colds at the moment - I think it’s because they have all come back together again! I’m still feeling sick and off food at 12+3 :( I’m very fortunate though as I haven’t actually been sick thank goodness, I’m so desperate to enjoy food again though haha!

PumpkinEverything · 17/03/2021 19:05

Great scan photos @HereWeGoooo 😊 so glad it all went well!

Yay @PrettyPinkPansies what a relief 😁 you can stop testing now!

I was off work today and have done almost 16,000 steps on our walk today. I’ll sleep tonight 😂😴

Smurf123 · 17/03/2021 19:16

Thanks @PumpkinEverything for the fb add 🙂

PumpkinEverything · 17/03/2021 19:34

You’re welcome @Smurf123 😊 glad you got it okay!

Bellabubble · 18/03/2021 08:01

After our discussion about names the other day - I just discovered (my husband has a large extended family on his Dad’s side who he doesn’t see a lot of, but his sis and mum recently reconnected with everyone) his cousin had a boy last year and has used the last boy name we loved 😂🙄

MrsTD88 · 18/03/2021 08:12

@Bellabubble this happened to us with a boy name when pregnant with my daughter... two relatives used the same name so ended up back at the drawing board. In the end it didn't matter as we ended up having a girl (she was a surprise) but I'm finding it really difficult again to find a boy name we both like. Our daughter's name is Irish so would love something to match as we have fallen out of love with the name we settled on last time around. We already have a girl's name picked out.

Have you seen the babyname app that works a bit like tinder? It looks a lot of fun and may just give some inspiration.

Pancakes7 · 18/03/2021 08:17

@MrsTD88 & @Bellabubble Haha yes it's Kinder. We used it last time but then chose my sons name ourselves anyway. But it's good to make sure you are happy with your choice and may give ideas.

MrsTD88 · 18/03/2021 08:25

@Pancakes7 I think we're going to give it a try after the dating scan. My husband keeps suggesting the most ridiculous names for a laugh. There is one serious one he likes but I'm not keen because it is the same as a kid at my daughter's nursery and he's not very nice to her sometimes!

JRH4622 · 18/03/2021 10:20

@HereWeGoooo brilliant scan pictures (sorry I'm a little late to the congrats party) I bet you are soo relieved now!
I found out yesterday that where I am if you have 3 or more MCs then you can have an early scan on the NHS without pain/bleeding. I have said before that I don't want an early scan but its nice to know I can have one without a fight!

vitaminb33 · 18/03/2021 12:52

Has anyone else had a lot of odd sensations?

Like I remember having the sort of pulling/stretching feelings in my low abdomen before but at the moment I'm having tweaking aches and pains in my upper back and under my ribs etc. Can't remember this happening in my other pregnancies - but I could just be overly aware of myself atm 🤷‍♀️

JRH4622 · 18/03/2021 13:05

@vitaminb33 I have exactly the same thing, its Relaxin the hormone that helps all our muscles etc to stretch and also our uterus that is stretching and growing...I haven't had it before but I take it as a good sign! My midwife said it is normal and I was scared so read the whole internet and that confirmed what the midwife had said.
I guess it if changes from twinges, ached, pulling, stretching and actually is really painful then shout but its a good thing! xx

vitaminb33 · 18/03/2021 13:26

Thanks @JRH4622 that's reassuring! That sounds right, in my first pregnancy I had terrible PGP and apparently that's related to relaxin so maybe I just don't react well 😅

JRH4622 · 18/03/2021 14:03

@vitaminb33 I bet PGP was miserable, I have spina bifida and the midwife mentioned getting a belt to help my pelvis later on in pregnancy! My hip already hurts LOL...anyway we have to be grateful to be suffering as the reward will be worth it!

Pancakes7 · 18/03/2021 14:16

@vitaminb33 , @JRH4622 I was about to say the same thing. I had terrible pgp and was told it was the relaxin. It had relaxed my muscles and they had stretched too much.

I know it's still early days, but have any of you thought about how you'll be announcing your pregnancy? I think I'd like to at around 12 weeks. I know from experience that 12 weeks means I'm not out of the woods, but I'd like to share my news. With Frank, I took the most beautiful photo of my children holding the scan photo. It's the only photo I'll ever have of the three of them together so I treasure it, and it doesn't feel right recreating it. Part of me doesn't want to refer to this baby as a rainbow baby, because I don't want them to always be in the shadow of their older brother and don't want what happened to diminish this experience, but at the same time this pregnancy can't help but be shaped by my loss. Urghh. I'm wanting the moon on a stick basically 🙃

Bellabubble · 18/03/2021 18:04

@Pancakes7 @MrsTD88 thank you - I’ll check out that app! My husband is from Northern Ireland and I have a few Irish names I love, but oh is worried about the mispronouncing because of the spelling!

@imisscoffee I’m not sure what I’ll do yet - I am going to call/text my close family members and friends if all is ok at my scan on Mon as I’ll be 13weeks then, but I’m not a massive social media user - and the people on there that I want to know the most are the people I’ll be texting in our group friends chats etc. I’m not sure yet how well I am going to cope with everyone’s excitement too - I still feel a bit reserved about letting myself get too excited (like I sooooo want to look at strollers etc and buy things) but I stupidly feel like that would jinx it (even though I know it won’t!) so I’m thinking of dong a first wave of announcements too see how I go! x

KG1145 · 18/03/2021 18:51

Hi. Is it OK to join, I'm only 4w2d so worked out I'd be due 23rd November. We'd been ttc for a year and in that time had a MMC and CP.

I've been better today but had a panic a few days ago and bought 32 🙈 more tests... In my defence it was a cheapie pack of 30 and 2 clear blue.

I did a clear blue today and got 2-3 weeks which gave me reassurance.

I had sickness a lot with my son (3yr now) and haven't had that start yet. Strange as it sounds ill feel reassured when that starts. I can't remember when it started before.

Firevie · 18/03/2021 19:01

@imisscoffee I think I will announce once the test results from the harmony test / nuchal tests are back so around 14 weeks. Prob not on social media but via what’s app/phone calls. Xxx

vitaminb33 · 18/03/2021 20:08

Welcome @KG1145! I'm sorry for your losses.

I empathise, I'm only 6 weeks and similarly initially couldn't seem to stop myself doing pregnancy tests and was worried about sickness not turning up. I think it is more common for it to get worse around 6 weeks (and it has started to for me).

On the other hand it's not helped my anxiety quite as much as I'd hoped. I feel like at every stage I focus on something to stress about. Hopefully once we get past this early stage the anxiety might improve!

Pancakes7 · 18/03/2021 20:09

@KG1145 Welcome and congratulations on your BFP. I completely understand the panic/anxiety. Try and keep busy and stay positive.

@imisscoffee We announced our son after my 20 week scan. We put the scan in a Lego train. I've attached the announcement below. I'm not sure if we'll announce this time or not. Maybe try something with our son in it. Although getting him to stay still is hard lol.

@JRH4622 @Pancakes7 hah! Good about the yoga! Maybe I should experiment. 🧘‍♀️

I had a belt for my first pregnancy, it definitely helped so I do recommend! But the one I got from the hospital was a bit of a pain because I had to take it off if I sat down. If I'm lucky enough to get that far in this pregnancy I might look into some of the slightly more flexible belts which you can wear for longer

Pancakes7 · 18/03/2021 20:15

@vitaminb33 Yes same here. I didn't wear my belt much as I had to take it off when I sat down but I would mostly be seated especially with the pgp.

Aw @Pancakes7 that was a lovely and inventive announcement!
