Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
sagitta · 22/11/2007 15:25

mmm satsumas. Good idea Soph.

scorpio1 · 22/11/2007 15:26

Thanks for looking ladylush

its still sinking in tbh. i can't use my boys name anymore! I have no pink names whatsoever.

ladylush · 22/11/2007 15:29

Just think of all the gorgeous girls clothes you can buy

scorpio1 · 22/11/2007 15:29

Have already been looking. we are going to be skint!

ladylush · 22/11/2007 15:31

So exciting

northeastmummy · 22/11/2007 16:22

This is my first day on here and I am addicted already - had to go and do some work there, but I'm back!

Hi Scorpio - that's brilliant news about your pink baby. It sounds like you were convinced it would be another boy - what a surprise .

The man with the mullet just appears in the ads at the top of the page but it seems to be a bit random - he's very distracting!

Although it's not conclusive, there is some evidence that underwire bras interfere with the development of the milk duct system and worst case can cause mastitis. Like a lot of things I'm a bit more relaxed about it this time round - I just hope I don't regret it later.

Have we heard from everyone that was having a scan today?

sagitta · 22/11/2007 16:28

Thanks, NEM. never knew that about underwire and milk. But it all worked out find last time, so I am going to underwire it again this time...
Still can't see mullet man. Maybe its becuase I am a luddite and when mumsnet changed its look, I stuck to old version...

sagitta · 22/11/2007 16:30

Did get mastitis though, but I think that's becuase I decided to stop breastfeeding instantly, overnight. Ouch. Won't be doing that again.

VictorianSqualor · 22/11/2007 16:36

I got mastitis too, but have no idea why, I didn't know it could be cos of the underwiring.

SCORPIO!!Congrats!!! I think the name Lorayn is pretty darn gorgeous for a girl

egyptianprincess · 22/11/2007 16:42

great news scorpio!! your little girl will have 3 older brothers to look after and spoil her, the lucky thing.
Hi Sagitta- im still switching btw underwire and non-underwire...it's just that my non-underwire one is so ugly...
but i did hear the thing about milk ducts from the saleswoman in the lingerie section..i think though that as long as the underwire isnt too tight it's probably fine..

scorpio1 · 22/11/2007 16:44

i have worn underwire last 2 pgs, and this one, but i don't really mind because i don't breastfeed. I do wear soft bras after i have had the baby because it just hurts. i need new bras now though!

Thanks for all congrats, its still sinking in.

sagitta · 22/11/2007 16:45

Exactly, EPrincess. My non-underwire gives me the saggy monobreast look. I look crap enough as it is at the moment without that too...

lemonaid · 22/11/2007 16:45

Congratulations! So, not Dexter William, tehn?

scorpio1 · 22/11/2007 16:47

No, i can't call her that now!

i have no pink names ready at all!

Piccalilli2 · 22/11/2007 17:06

Hello all

Congrats to everyone who's had good scan news today and welcome to our new arrivals - there's a lot of us now!

Had my scan this morning, all's well, the baby was really cute and rubbing its eyes with its tiny fists which nearly made me cry. Oh, and I'm having a GIRL. I'm over the moon but dd isn't going to be happy, she really wanted a brother. Oh well, she'll get over it.

egyptianprincess · 22/11/2007 17:11

Hi Picalilli
A girl! Congratulations! Im sure your dd will love having a sister.

egyptianprincess · 22/11/2007 17:16

I had a major breakthrough yesterday- FINALLY got offered a seat on the tube for the first time by a nice man who stared at me for a long while before taking the plunge and offering up his seat. I think he was trying to decide whether I was preggers or just porky-looking. It's difficult for men, my DH got shouted at once when he offered his seat to one lady who just turned out to be porky.
Is it just me or are others finding the schlepp to work and work itself exhausting? I switched off my alarm this morning and snoozed for an extra hour and a half by mistake and was v late for work. Oops. I felt guilty but quickly got over it.

eva07 · 22/11/2007 17:33

seems to be a girl's day congrats to all scanees and welcome to all newbies

V1KK1M · 22/11/2007 17:59

Hi,

Congrats on all you that have had scans.

On the subject if nipples (earlier in the day) has anyone elses started leaking yet?!? Sorry if TMI but mine now leak every night

Also - I actually felt the baby move last night. I got three little thumps. Hasn't happened again yet but at lwast I know I will feel more soon.

SuzeM · 22/11/2007 18:00

Congratulations Picalilli and Scorpio (and anyone else I missed).

I find commuting tiring. My commute it's only about 40 minutes door to door but the tubes are always jammers. I never get a seat as don't really look pregnant to the untrained eye! I'm so glad when it gets to Friday.

I thought I'd escaped morning sickness altogether but it hit me this morning ... how can it start at 19 weeks?!

VictorianSqualor · 22/11/2007 18:02

Mine havent yet V1KK1M, But I know it wont be long, they feel like when they started last time iyswim.

Congrats picallilli!

I am not going to find out tomorrow
I have quite a busy day of it, well two days actually, scan tomorrow, then hairdresser, then off to a gig with DP, then have DD's bday sat, a friend staying over, and pizza hut booked up, so might not get on much between now and then.
