Morning all. I´d have sex all the time given the opportunity but DH worries that he´ll hurt me or LO - bless! I also feel strange all the time, I´m OK but not & don´t know why! I´m not getting much movement & I´m 19 wks now ... am getting more paranoid by the second.

EllieG · 19/11/2007 09:54

DP's best mate had a baby last wek (or rather, his missus did) and went to see her at the weekend, she was only 4 days old and soooooo beautiful. If I wasn't up the duff I'd be nagging for one now, that's for sure.

Hope everyone had nice weekends, will catch up on your doings in a mo x

Oh and soph - I thought I felt the baby move yesterday, but it turned out it was just wind

Saying that I don´t remember DS being much of a mover. Also, scan isn´t until next Thursday and I´m convinced that they´re going to tell me there´s something wrong. I swear I wasn´t this nutty with DS

Soph73 · 19/11/2007 10:01

Ellie -
Peachy - congrats on your nephew, does remind you why you´re doing this doesn´t it

Soph73 · 19/11/2007 10:03

Sorry I keep sending little messages but my machine won´t let me send longer ones A colleague of mine who´s 29 wks pg has been told to go on maternity leave now as she´s at high risk of going into labour any time. Apparently her uterus is too soft!!

lemonaid · 19/11/2007 12:14

scampmum · 19/11/2007 12:19

Congratulations, Lemonaid! First daughter, yes? They are great, no wee in your eyes. Apparently they get difficult in 12 years' time, but there's no need for us to think about that yet.

lemonaid · 19/11/2007 12:23

And I can still refer to DS as DS rather than DS1...

VictorianSqualor · 19/11/2007 12:24

Congrats Lemonaid, scampmum, I wouldn't be so sure about girls being easier! Out of DS and DD DS was much calmer/happier, though I'm sure there are many reasons that could be other than him being male.

Soph73 · 19/11/2007 13:20

lemonaid - Congrats I´m pretty sure that I´m having a girl & am sooo impatient to find out (won´t be disappointed if it´s a boy though). Keep wishing the days away until the 29th, which is not good as the time goes quickly enough as it is

EllieG · 19/11/2007 13:21

Ooo I think that's the first girl that we know of so far isn't it? Congratulations lemonaid. Nice to have one of each.

OP posts:
Soph73 · 19/11/2007 13:22

scampmum - are you sure girls are easier? Everyone I´ve ever spoken to says they´re more difficult. For me though this one is going to be the complete opposite of DS (I can sense these things ) just because he was an angel so it´s bound to be a nightmare

scampmum · 19/11/2007 13:32

I didn't say they were easier, just that they don't (I think) wee in your eyes. Only got a girl and she cried for three months solid. So I'm just crossing my fingers for somebody laid back, whether dude or dudette. I suspect it's just babies that are great and I simply only know about girls so far... not finding out at the scan so we've got a long way to go!

Soph73 · 19/11/2007 14:04

scampmum - oh I see, I can´t imagine they´d wee in your eye either .... not unless you´ve lifted them up at a very strange angle

EllieG · 19/11/2007 14:04

I don't want to have my eyes wee'd in.

OP posts:
scampmum · 19/11/2007 14:23

(This is all hearsay, but) apparently they wee in their own eyes, too. Does that somehow redress the balance?

TheMaskedPoster · 19/11/2007 14:23

ooo congrats lemonaid

have my scan on Thursday and can't wait as I'm sure I should be bigger than I am (although I feel the baby move often).

btw - what's sex??! LOL

VictorianSqualor · 19/11/2007 14:36

FWIW, Neitehr of mine weed in my eye, however DD's seemed to go up like a fountain and DS's would go off to one side.
HTH

scampmum · 19/11/2007 14:51

Speaking of wee, DD is insisting that in order to go on the potty Mummy has to be on the loo, too. Everytime I pull my pants down she points and says 'Daddy!' and giggles. WTF??

On should-be-bigger-than-I-am - can anyone feel the top of their uterus? I am 17/18 weeks and IIRC that means my uterus should be roughly 2-3cm below my belly button, but if I can feel the top of it it's definitely lower than that. Plus have nightmare house move no GP situation so haven't seen a midwife at all i.e. not heard heartbeat since 12 week scan

Soph73 · 19/11/2007 15:01

ellie - don´t worry DS never wee'd in mine Managed to wee over everything else though I´m covered in so much fat don´t know whether I can feel mine or not

Soph73 · 19/11/2007 15:03

Sorry, that 2nd comment was in response to scampmum That´s obviously what the midwife meant when she said there was too much fat to find lo last week

VictorianSqualor · 19/11/2007 15:05

The top of my uterus is urely just below my bra, I'm positive

Soph73 · 19/11/2007 15:28

LOL at VS ... maybe that´s why I can´t find mine, not looking far enough up

paranoidmummy · 19/11/2007 15:28

yup vs mine is pretty high up too! def higher than my belly button. got my 20 wk scan tom and sooooooooooooooooo scared
