OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Peachy · 16/11/2007 22:36

charlotte is gorgeous as well- you can funky that up too, Charlie (important funky factor LOL)

You can make a mivkey take out of anything, besides nobody wouod dare call any of my kids that- certainly not a second time!

Sister had a little boy, Ellis james, just after eight- awwwwwww , can't wait to see him, but she's in hospital as she went into pre-eclampsia (family curse).

VictorianSqualor · 16/11/2007 22:39

Well, I already have smelly ella, and bobby or booby!! hahaha, I think the sebastian one just stuck with DP
Do love charlie/lottie as well as charlotte, so I think thats what it will be for a girl, and probably Will Oliver for a boy, am liking Alexander now as well though!

Peachy · 16/11/2007 22:42

Alexander is nice, but my best mate and another 'friend' (slightly mad aquaintance??? ) are already using that, tis very nice though.

Annieroo · 17/11/2007 09:46

Good morning,

I know haven't posted much either - have to fight the other half to get to the computer!

Can I be added to the list too please? my DD is 21st April and this is my first.

Thankyou.

VictorianSqualor · 17/11/2007 16:52

I've had a bleed
We did have sex today, and I am assuming it is because of that, it wasn't a large bleed more pinky discharge (sorry if tmi) and I know that it is quite normal and not to worry if there aren't any other syptoms, but what with having had a previous abruption, and quite a bit of pain after my smear the other week, I can't help but fret.
Come on you lovely ladies and repeat my advice to me, make me feel better!

ToastAddict · 17/11/2007 17:28

Oh VS
{{{{{hugs}}}}}

I'm sure it is related to sex - seems too much of a coincidence, doesn't it?
And the fact that you had your smear recently - your cervix is probably still a little delicate from that, as well as being more prone to bleeding cos of the pregnancy

For more TMI, pinky discharge sounds like CM with a bit of blood in it, which sounds like cervix, rather than anything higher up.

Can't reassure re: abruption as I know nothing about it and would be talking out of my arse. But it does sound like cervical bleeding. I assume no cramping etc?

Hope it stops at this and you can relax

On a lighter note - I have just made a cake (lemon drizzle) - please have a virtual slice

Annieroo · 17/11/2007 18:09

Has anyone got any good remedies for colds? i have a stinker of one and have been relying on olbas oil, lots of tissues, honey and lemon and lots of tlc from the other half, but it's just not shifting

ToastAddict · 17/11/2007 18:13

Annieroo - sorry you're feeling poorly
You can take paracetamol, that should bring fever down, as well as getting rid of headache and general aches.
I always add some ginger to hot lemon and honey.

Make the most of the tlc

Hope you feel better soon

gemprincess · 17/11/2007 22:31

VS just wanted to say im thinking of you and i just know all will be fine... I had a bleed in my 2nd pregnancy at this point, all turned out well... take care and put your feet up..It sounds like its prob coming from your cervix... Will explain pinky colour..

V1KK1M · 18/11/2007 09:16

VS - I'm sure all will be fine - so may different things going on up there as long as you are not in any pain and it doesn't get any heavier all should be well (using the art of positive thinking here)!

Has it stopped now?

On the subject of sex (and sorry if tmi) but I do want it - or at least think I do but then when things start to get going I just feel like I can't be bothered - poor DH

VictorianSqualor · 18/11/2007 11:16

lol, V1KK1M, I'm kind of the same, I decide I want it and then realise it's too much hassle, oh and the bump gets in the way.

There's been no more bleeding, I'm assuming it wasnt anything bad, I know all the info on it about blood colour and where and when and other signs etc, so I know it's fine and not really anything to worry about, in fct if anyone else asked I'd tell them not to worry, but when it's you it's different isn't it.

Baby has been moving well enough anyway, so I know it's ok in there!

MassiveMollyfloss · 18/11/2007 11:42

VS - sounds like you're doing fine with the baby moving and everything. I wouldn't worry.
Anieroo -sorry to hear about your cold. I have terrible congestion at night and that's bad enough. Unfortunately apart from what's been already listed below I can't think of anything else we're allowed to take. You could covering you head with a towle and steam it over a bowl of hot water with a couple of drops of olbas oil in it. Would help decongest a bit.

scorpio1 · 18/11/2007 12:48

VS-i'm sure that it was just sex-my friend had this everytime she has had sex in her pgs, and i hink she stopped in the end beause of the worry. its just that your cervix has had a bashing lately.

Is it just me or does anyone else want sex all the time? i pretty much have from about week 12! Baby is doing big kickc now, only 4 days till scan day!

i had the oddest dream last night about the baby. i dreamt that at my scan i was told the baby's brain hadn't 'quaterised' and that its tailbone was too long, indicating 'gayness'!! also they told me the baby had Angelman syndrome. thats really odd becuase i only read about that syndrome the other day, having never heard of it before. surely its because i read about it and not some premonition thing?? and from what i researched online its not diagonosed by scanning anyway! Freaky dreams, eh? anyone else?

bump is getting bigger now

dp is coming back home today, he went to bournemouth to watch some thai boxing last night, i think he has major hangover todfay though!

scorpio1 · 18/11/2007 12:49

Annieroo-TONS of water will help too.

Peachy · 18/11/2007 15:53

VS I also had a bleed this wekend- small amunt of spotting, had it at the same stage with ds2 though ahd forgotten as it was nothing. pretty sure I know what triggered it this time- yesterday DH and I did somoe voluntary worka nd the work we were assigned invovled walking 7 miles and standing up for 11 hours!. Didn't want to let Dh down so got on with it, but had a nightmare of cramps all night and then some spotting- pushed t all too far i thinK!

VictorianSqualor · 18/11/2007 16:19

Scorpio, I dont actually want it all tghe time, I start to think I do, then realise I feel like shit still and can't be bothered!
Have had a lot of erotic dreams though, poor DP I'm sure he'd like it if I put some of this randyness his way

micegg · 18/11/2007 16:28

Hello all. I havent been on here for ages so I hope ayou are all well. I am 21+2 today. I have a horrible cold and feel very emotional today. Went to see a friend the other day and met someone who was 33 weeks pregnant. She asked if we were due about the same time . Didnt actually think I was that big but have definately popped in the last week. Second scan on 27th. Can't wait.

I weighed myself this morning. I have out on 7lbs. I cant remember how much I had put on by this stage last time but given I was about 1 stone overweight to begin with this would seem OK.

I have been trying to develop patience with the repetitive questions "Do you know what you are having? names, etc?" as well as random bump rubbing from colleagues. I know they mean well but I feel like handing out a pre typed script with FAQ and anwers on! As its my second I have also been getting comments about which sex I am having. I dont mind and dont want to find out but have a hunch its another girl. When I said this to someone the other day she said "you can't have 2 the same boys are much better". Not sure I will get the choice. . People say some funny things to pregnant women dont they!

VictorianSqualor · 18/11/2007 17:22

Lol@boys are so much better, believe me they both have their good and bad points!

Annieroo · 18/11/2007 19:52

thank you for all your help, finally succumbed and took some paracetamol - felt soo much better but a bit guilty - wanted to go through the whole pregnancy without taking any medication, still it's worth feeling better for it

scampmum · 18/11/2007 20:48

I remember when I was last pregnant and told a friend at about 14 weeks. She (an intelligent girl, went to Oxford) said: "Oh, apparently if you want a boy you have to eat a lot of red meat." Er, I think it's already pretty decided by now...

I am feeling rotten today. Just reflecting on how I don't think I felt this generally sh1t last time. Nothing specific so I don't have an answer when people spot my long face and ask what's wrong, but I just have no energy and feel generically lousy. Anyone else? I don't think I'm drinking enough (have a water/drink aversion this time! like my salad/veg aversion last time but a bit more critical) so that might be something to do with it. Definitely feel better on the days when I make a conscious effort to drink lots of water but I seldom manage at the weekend what with running around after a two year old. I also seem to have had a cold for about five weeks so I'm sneezing constantly, in contrast to last time when pregnancy miraculously cured all my allergies.

DP also being grumpy with me as I've been out a bit today - went to see a newborn (cute! scary!) this am and he couldn't come as someone had to stay with DD who had a cold, then we had a lunch date at a friends' house, but decided DD was too ill to go. Someone had to drive over, though, as the girl hosting babysat for us last night and left her bike here as I gave her a lift home (couldn't let her cycle in the freezing cold) - so I went, dropped off the bike, stayed for a bit of lunch but it was about an hour before it was served (even though I was over an hour late!) - I ate and literally put down my plate and left , but he was still a bit miffed I'd been gone two hours.

Grump over. VS, I hope all is still cool. Sounds pretty benign.

Re sex I would if we ever had the opportunity other than when we've gone to bed. Definitely having dirty dreams. It's a fight between increased libido and increased fatigue, and I'm sorry to say that fatigue usually wins. DD seems to be cutting out her daytime nap which has effectively closed our sex window!

Piccalilli2 · 19/11/2007 08:10

We've pretty much given up on sex. The only time I remotely feel like it is in the mornings (probably due to the filthy dreams!) but dd is a very early riser so don't get much opportunity. In the evenings I'm just too tired and generally asleep by the time dh comes to bed.

VS hope everything is OK now.

VictorianSqualor · 19/11/2007 09:11

scampmum, I've been feeling the same, when I was pregnant with my other two I used to go out at least once a week, down the pub with my mates and manage to stay out til silly o'clock just drinking coke, but now, I don't even want to get out of bed!
DP keeps saying 'how are you today?feeling ok?' and I don' thave atruthful answer, cos I'm not feeling bad, but I'm not feeling ok.

Sheds75 · 19/11/2007 09:31

God I'm tired today, spent all weekend wallpapering the kitchen in an effort to get the house ready for us to move into on the 8th Dec. It is nice to have finished it but really don't need to be in work today.

hope everyone else had a relaxing weekend

Hope you are feeling ok now VS

Peachy · 19/11/2007 09:39
