@lucyrp aaaw lol on Monday I was upset as fiancé was going to work from the other room leaving me in the living room all by myself. Was soo clingy. Yesterday called him mean! Aaah these hormones x

lucyrp · 10/03/2021 18:15

@Whatshouldbemyusername I've been FaceTiming him on his way to work and on the way home 😂🙈 I've literally cried at everything this week x

Whatshouldbemyusername · 10/03/2021 18:19

@lucyrp am sorry but this makes me so happy! This is why I love this forum. You women make me feel normal when I’m being completely unreasonable 🤣🤣x

Daffodil21 · 10/03/2021 18:24

You're all making me feel like a terrible wife 😂 I don't even come close to crying when DH goes to work - hadn't even given it a thought tbh! And he doesn't get any sex atm 🙈 tbf he has had a lifetime share in the last 2 years!!

Whatshouldbemyusername · 10/03/2021 18:55

@Daffodil21 trust me he may appreciate that lol. My fiancé just rolled his eyes coz I was like “please don’t leave me alone” when he said he’s going to the other room. Think it’s safe to say I’m getting onto his nerves 😬... oh well 🤷🏽‍♀️🤣x

PurplePansy05 · 10/03/2021 19:34

Hi all, I've taken some time out as I've been feeling weirdly emotional about everything. I've been anxious and crying about some weird things, suddenly I started worrying that something might happen to DH, that something bad may happen to my son when he's growing up, I've had terrible nightmares and been trying to delay going to bed because I don't sleep well. But then I'm also very tired so that's not a great combination. I'm also stressed about the 20 week scan, I don't know why but suddenly it feels SO far away (it's just over 2 weeks). I then cried today because our builder has a back problem and I am worried he now won't renovate our house, everything just seems so bad! I know I'm exaggerating but I'm so emotional. I also forgot about my Kegel exercises, lost my Burts Bees Mama Bee in the move and now I'm going to have stretchmarks and my hair suddenly looks so shit that I'd pay a grand for a hairdresser now 😭😭😭

Can someone just give me a slap please, I know I am being ridiculous 🤦🏼‍♀️ xx

lucyrp · 10/03/2021 19:40

@PurplePansy05 I've had this a lot this week too. Been crying incase something happens to OH and I'm left as a single mum with 2 children to 2 different dads, everytime OH leaves I cry. The list goes on 🙈 I also feel like my 20 week scan is so far away and mine is still 3 weeks😭x

lucyrp · 10/03/2021 19:43

Had to drive an hour and a half away to a local hospital to drop some clothes off for a relative and on the way home and have serious back pain which has crept around to the front so also have cramps which are going down into my groin area. Someone tell me I don't need to worry 😭

HopefulB · 10/03/2021 20:04

@Daffodil21 your not alone! We’re in the same boat with miscarriage hx & hormones affecting endo, adding the fear of pain.

@PurplePansy05, big virtual hugs xx
Moving house is one of the most stressful events of your life, and your carrying a much wanted baby after a challenging time which is bound to cause anxiety. Can you do any mindfulness exercises/meditation? Or something to relax you even if you don’t want to go to sleep?

@lucyrp sounds like sitting for a prolonged time has (+/- bedroom activities 😂 just envious) has tightened up your lower back muscles and you’re feeling it in the muscle that comes around the top of the hip bone? Gentle stretching of the lower back and hip opening stretches should help, or if you can’t face that a hot water bottle on your back/warm bath?

MrsB2019x · 10/03/2021 20:05

@PurplePansy05 Hormones are absolutely raging, so I don’t blame you. But I can give you a friendly slap if it’d make you feel better 😂

@Daffodil21 I was like that in the first trimester, I was SO nervous! We had sex at 8 weeks and had some cramping afterwards so that put me off for ages!

@lucyrp Do you think you might have overdone it today? If I do more than usual my back is AGONY and it can creep around to the front. I think round ligament pain really makes itself apparent around now so that probably doesn’t help either

PurplePansy05 · 10/03/2021 20:16

Thank you @lucyrp @HopefulB @MrsB2019x I feel a bit better having read your posts ❤ It's true, there's just so much going on in my head right now and so many changes. Work has really picked up too and I feel I have no time to actually do things I need to do for myself, baby prep and house now. I need to take a breath and try to split everything over a longer period of time, this might help. I will also get some lavender oil, it always helps me a bit. Hot milk before bed too I think xx

Whatshouldbemyusername · 10/03/2021 20:41

@PurplePansy05 bless you. Maybe a foot massage from OH might help too?x

lucyrp · 10/03/2021 20:58

@HopefulB a hot water bottle is defo my best friend at the moment and has been for a few weeks now!

@MrsB2019x yeah I was thinking round ligament pain might be the culprit!

@PurplePansy05 I need to get some lavender oil too! X

biscuitcat · 10/03/2021 21:05

Oh @PurplePansy05, sending good thoughts to you, what a tough time. As others have said, it's totally understandable you're stressed, you have such a lot on all at once! I think all the pregnancy hormones won't be helping one bit, so many of us have said we're feeling emotional and with work, house move, renovation and the 20 week scan all playing on your mind it's so natural to feel like that 💕 just a shame you can indulge in a couple of big glasses of wine to help you relax! Hopefully warm milk will have the same effect! What I've found helpful before with bad dreams is playing an audiobook as I'm going to sleep (on a timer so it turns itself off) as then my mind focuses on that instead of what I'm worrying about xx

LaceyMermaid · 10/03/2021 21:16

I think cramps and being emotional are normal!

I had my private scan and all seems well despite the bleeding so it was reassuring. I also found out the sex - it’s a girl! I’ve got 3 boys so I’m majorly shocked! I was sure it was another boy!

Daffodil21 · 10/03/2021 21:33

Brilliant news @LaceyMermaid !

Sending you a big hug @PurplePansy05

Champson · 10/03/2021 21:40

Congrats on the 💖 @LaceyMermaid!!! Exciting news! I’m hoping we find out our three at our next scan on Tuesday - will be 17+2, hopefully they can tell us. That’s one good thing about multiples is the constant scanning 😊

My husband had to go up north to his family home for a few days for work so I’ve been alone for a few nights and really feeling it this time!! I usually feel sad when he’s gone but we haven’t been apart in a year 😳 Glad I’m not the only one feeling emosh about DHs!!!

@PurplePansy05 I hope you’re feeling a bit better about everything after reading this thread! Sure makes me feel better! Xx

Whatshouldbemyusername · 10/03/2021 22:08

@LaceyMermaid beautiful news! Congratulations 👏🏽 💖

Big hugs to everyone going through emotions today. Tomorrow is a new day x

MrsB2019x · 11/03/2021 06:38

Brilliant news @LaceyMermaid! 💖

Woke up yesterday and today with stomach aches 😣 making me feel rotten. Not sure if it’s because I’m a front sleeper and maybe my body isn’t coping well with that anymore? Is anyone else getting stomach aches?

lucyrp · 11/03/2021 06:46

@MrsB2019x whenever I wake up in the night and morning I feel like I either need to eat or go to the toilet because my tummy hurts but it's neither of those things 🙈

HopefulB · 11/03/2021 07:16

Glad the scan was reassuring @LaceyMermaid Smile

@lucyrp and @MrsB2019x I definitely have ligament pains when moving suddenly, and aches when bladder is full. Also, not really the same, but in the evenings I have a weird feeling that I’m full, whilst being really hungry. I am constantly hungry - OH thinks it’s funny as I had a pretty rubbish metabolism Pre Preg and he’s always been a ‘hangry’ person if he doesn’t eat regularly! This week I’ve been snacking on mini pork & pickle pies!!! If anyone had any suggestions of good snacks please let me know, otherwise the think I’m going to experiment in making lots of different mezze/salads so I can pick at them!

Whatshouldbemyusername · 11/03/2021 07:46

Morning ladies!

@HopefulB I’ve been having ryvita with cottage cheese and slices of cucumber on top - topped with sea salt and pepper/paprika. You could try that? Or some nuts?x

MrsB2019x · 11/03/2021 08:27

@HopefulB I’ve been having rice cakes - can gorge on them without much guilt as they are practically air lol

@lucyrp Kinda glad it’s not just me! It’s not ligament pain it’s like a proper stomach ache. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Might have to invest in a pregnancy pillow now to stop me rolling on my front

lucyrp · 11/03/2021 08:30

@HopefulB I have experienced everything you've just described. Also when I feel hungry it's like it's not me that's hungry the feeling comes from deeper in my tummy than normal almost as if the baby is hungry and I'm not. That must sound weird 🙈😂 if o get up too quick I get a sharp pain either side of my hips not always both sides just the one. To be honest I just generally ache everywhere all the time 😫😂

Daffodil21 · 11/03/2021 08:35

@MrsB2019x yesss get a pregnancy pillow! I love mine, it's so comfy!
