Glad your scans went well @Jessicapebbles & @Daffodil21. Lovely that you’re excited and buying clothes ☺️ So cute!

@ElonaWise you’re so amazing and taking it all in your stride!

I can’t believe we’re all getting to the halfway point now xx

Magik01 · 25/03/2021 21:25

Hi everyone, sorry I haven’t posted in a while. I’m so sorry to read about everyone’s losses and all the heartache people have been through in the past. Flowers

@Alittlexmasmagic I cannot imagine what you have gone through virtual hug

@PurplePansy05 hope the builder situation improves!! I researched doing a lot of building work to a house we almost brought and I’m so glad we didn’t go ahead with it!

Had my 20 week scan today, baby all okay and we are having a little boy 💙 the sonography did mention she found something in my womb that shouldn’t be there that she called uterine synechiae? She said she would mention it to the hospital and fetal medicine may be in touch if they feel like they need to. Confused Had a quick google and there isn’t a whole lot about it, just that it most probably came from my crash section before.

Jessicapebbles · 25/03/2021 22:28

Thank you all so much for replying to my Covid post! Massively reinforced my want to get it! I’ll let you know how I get on! Xx

lucyrp · 26/03/2021 11:21

Anyone else had fire nips on just one nipple ?? Have had like a burning sensation in one boob. Very odd

MrsB2019x · 26/03/2021 11:21

@ElonaWise Yep there’s a FB group - if you search ‘Sunday of Summer’ it will come up ☺️
@Alittlexmasmagic For info when you’re comfortable to join x

I’m 20 weeks today and I feel quite emotional about it! I’m just so grateful to have gotten this far and my body seems to be doing something right (for a change 😂)

So glad to see everyone’s scans have gone well! Mine is on Wednesday and am bricking it 😬

PurplePansy05 · 26/03/2021 11:32

Hi all! Thanks for the good wishes! Pleased to report my son is fine, just had my 20 week scan. He was wriggling so much though that the sonographer couldn't fully catch the heart and diaphragm measurements so she's bringing me in again for a rescan in 2 weeks' time. I had to jump, roll, empty my bladder and he still had his leg and elbow over his chest 🙈🙈🙈 Nevermind. She said she didn't see anything concerning luckily so hopefully all will be ok at the rescan.

He is moving loads today, don't think he enjoyed so much pressure lol, the scan took 40 mins!

Good luck @WolfMother326 and everyone else with your upcoming scans ❤ xx

@lucyrp Definitely, throughout my left nipple and breast have been far worse than the right one. Go figure 😳 Gorgeous daffodils, btw!

@LyraShaeLilly I get freaked out about discharge on a weekly basis, exactly the same issues as you. But all my urine samples have been fine and the baby is fine too. I actually went in for a private scan at around 13.5 weeks genuinely scared that it was amniotic fluid. There isn't necessarily an easy way of distinguishing the two, but if you're damp it's likely discharge, even if watery and see through. If you're actually wet, it goes through your clothes/gushes/trickles (like trickling tap water kind of thing) then that needs to be checked. However, there are so many reasons the latter could happen, could be thrush/BV/UTI, in pregnancy this is how they can demonstrate. They should scan you and/or swab you if you're concerned but it does sound very much like increased discharge. Pads will be your best friends. Unfortunately it's not a very comfortable feeling, I know, I change them regularly and of I don't wear them then I tend to change my underwear more often.

Congratulations to all of you who have had scans this week ❤ Halfway through, ladies ❤ xx

PurplePansy05 · 26/03/2021 11:47

Oh and just an update on my builder saga, turns out the quote wasn't complete and it's actually twice as much as our budget lol 🤣 I didn't know whether to laugh or cry, in the end I told him what I thought about it. We've had to resign from some things for now and cut down on others, I am waiting for him to send revised quotes. To be fair, it probably isn't the end of the world but with maternity coming up, nursery fees and possibly DC2 I just can't see how we're going to do the rest within the next 5 years tbh. I suspect a massive remortgage will be on the horizon in 2026 but hey...such is life. I'm trying not to get too stressed about it all and at least get the key big things done asap so there's no mess when he arrives!

@biscuitcat How is your SIL saga developing? So many dramas! 🤣 xx

WolfMother326 · 26/03/2021 11:50

Beautiful scan @PurplePansy05 - a wiggly baby is a good baby!

My scan this morning was so wonderful. I was very weepy the whole time, I loved seeing all the anatomy up close. Everything looked good and the baby was beautiful. I also had to get up and take a walk, and have a sugary treat for the sonographer to get a good view of the spine, but the baby cooperated and we got it all checked out!

Lovely scans @WolfMother326 @PurplePansy05 ❤️

lucyrp · 26/03/2021 12:47

Awww lovely pictures 🥰 @PurplePansy05 @WolfMother326

MrsB2019x · 26/03/2021 13:19

Lovely scans @WolfMother326 @PurplePansy05 🥰

biscuitcat · 26/03/2021 13:30

Lovely scans @PurplePansy05 and @WolfMother326 🥰

@PurplePansy05 luckily all seems to be quiet on the SIL front at the moment! She did book the nephews into a summer camp type thing near us and said that hopefully we 'come to our senses' and let them stay in a very stroppy message though... I know she's been giving DH a hard time in their family WhatsApp group, but luckily I'm not in that so not party to all the drama. We're meant to be seeing them at the end of June or so for MIL's birthday which I'm slightly dreading, but DH assures me that it'll all be ignored in person - apparently at their house (where SIL, BIL, nephews and PILs all live together) it can be totally raging over message but not mentioned at all out loud!

Carefree1 · 26/03/2021 15:42

Lovely scans @WolfMother326 @PurplePansy05 x

PurplePansy05 · 26/03/2021 15:48

Beautiful @WolfMother326, so happy for you 😊

Thank you, ladies ❤❤❤ I'm far happier today now the scan is out of the way!

@biscuitcat That's hilarious. I love it they're raging in writing but never in person, too funny 🤣 Families, eh? I can't wait for your post after you all see each other, you need to tell us all about her poker face 🤣 xx

Inmypjsagain · 26/03/2021 18:12

Ah so lovely seeing these scans! Congratulations everyone! I had mine today, all good and we’re having a little boy! 💙 I do wonder how you all get such good scan photos, my one today is a total blur and he looks a bit like ET 😂

@biscuitcat come to your senses??! Wow. I don’t even know what to say to that. Is her issue that she’ll have to pay for accommodation or what? I just don’t understand how she doesn’t get it, having children herself?!

Right I’m about to work through the read as I think I have 5 pages to catch up on!

Daffodil21 · 26/03/2021 18:56

@Inmypjsagain don't worry mine isn't very good and is blurry too! That's why I didn't upload it 😂 glad all ok 💙

PurplePansy05 · 26/03/2021 19:35

Aw fab, congratulations @Inmypjsagain and welcome to Team Blue 💙💙 xx

Daffodil21 · 26/03/2021 19:47

What was the app a couple of you recommended to help with pelvic floor exercises? I'm so bad at remembering to do them!!

lucyrp · 26/03/2021 20:03

@Daffodil21 Squeezy is the one I use. It's the nhs one and costs 2.99 but I think its really good!

MrsB2019x · 26/03/2021 20:06

@Daffodil21 I just typed in ‘kegel exercises’ and loads came up. I use the one that’s a green square with a white tick, it’s free and I’ve found it really good. Builds you up gradually

PurplePansy05 · 26/03/2021 20:12

It's Kegel Trainer with a green tick icon @Daffodil21 xx

LyraShaeLilly · 26/03/2021 20:52

So I can't work out if I have been feeling baby move or it's my heartbeat/pulse in my belly!!

Do you definitely know if it's baby, and its always in the top/middle of my belly. Would that be the right place? Or is it lower down at 18 weeks?

HopefulB · 26/03/2021 21:09

@LyraShaeLilly baby’s heart rate will be about double yours at the moment!

I can definitely see my abdomen pulse which I don’t recall Pre pregnancy (but can’t say I paid a lot of attention!) I assume it’s as there’s increase blood flow to the area.

I’m still not sure whether I feel movements or not, last night I was convinced it was as there was like a fluttery pop in my bump after a had a large bowl of fruit crumble....

HopefulB · 26/03/2021 21:13

Congratulations on the scans @Jessicapebbles @Daffodil21 @PurplePansy05 @WolfMother326
On to the next phase!
