My scan is 12th April, seems so far away too. But at least it's a date to remember, as I can go out for dinner after!!!!

@Alittlexmasmagic do you have the list of everyone’s due dates and what they’re having? I’ve been out the loop for a while and can’t remember everyone’s details. Sorry if I’ve missed it I couldn’t see it in this group 🙈

@CountryGirl84 my 20week scan is the 12th too, may find out sex then - mostly because I’ll be massively indecisive about names!

Thinking of names, please someone tell me I'm being ridiculous and hormonal! I just saw yesterday that someone I worked with in my part time student job, who I haven't seen in comfortably 10 years, has a child who's named the same as DH and my top boy's name - I really didn't like her and it's making me doubt our name choice 😩 this is insane, isn't it?

Yes will be finding the sex. We have a boys name and girls name picked already and I can't wait to begin calling bump either of these names rather than baby.

I just hope the 2 royal babies are named before our baby actually arrives as I really wouldn't want them choosing the same name, Archie and Isla have already been removed from our list!!

Thats a toughie, I think It would bother me as theres loads of names I've discounted because of bad memories or people I didn't like, if you really liked the name could you unfollow her from social media or maybe have it as a middle name?

biscuitcat yes in the nicest of ways, it's a bit insane :o Especially if the children will never be likely to meet. I would not let that put me off a name. Just block her and forget all about it! :)

However this may be because I am now stuck in naming hell again - whyyyy do I hate all boys' names?? They all suck. And the few I like DH hates or discounts for some stupid reason.

OK my turn to be bonkers I don't want a blue heart on the list until my high detail scan on the 29th, I want to see this for myself before I fully accept it!

We have also already chosen a name 🙈 we may change our minds but I don't think we will. I've told my mum and a couple of close friends, and one of them keeps referring to him as his name which is lovely but freaks me out a little 😂

@biscuitcat I wouldn't let that worry you at all. As others say, just unfollow her so you can't see her updates. It doesn't sound like your two would ever meet either

Also coming to the concluding that I'm imagining the movement feeling so dreading the 20 week scan on Thursday.

Names are so tricky! We don't know if we're having a boy or girl and have one of each that we like, none others have been appealing despite looking for other options. Also worried that when we meet the little one the name won't quite fit - but I guess they could always grow into it? I'm a bit stuck on the idea that names need to have personal meaning/family connection as well.

It’s a lot of responsibility thinking of names isn’t it! We’ve definitely got front runner, but not locked in yet. But I too think of people with the name that I don’t particularly like and therefor discounted a few! One of our previous names we like is now someone’s dog 😂.

On the name front we've had our boys name for a few years and recently my friend decided she really likes it and is starting ttc soon so I will be annoyed if she has a boy before me and uses MY name. I've already told her il still be using it for my next if it's a boy even if she uses it 🤣

I hate all boys' names too. And because of the European roots, we're hoping to choose something easy to pronounce in other languages too, it's a nightmare. Such names just don't exist! We haven't actually chosen any and there's only 1 in the running so far 🙄

I am also worried about the 20 week scan @Daffodil21 @MrsB2019x, mine is this Friday and my movements aren't really there right now. I know it's still early for it but I was hoping they'd become more regular whereas I sometimes have days when I really don't feel anything. It stresses me out. I am hoping they'll be regular and strong soon, otherwise I stand no chance in spotting a pattern 😔

I went for a long walk today, did my exercises and I'm feeling better for it. I'm watching Wonder now and gosh I've just realised that anything children related affects me 1000 times more now. It's so hard to watch even though I've seen it before.

Re: names, I’ve had my girls name picked out for years now, but really struggle for a boys name! We already have a DS and the only name we liked we used on him 😂 DH is convinced this time is a girl, which is making me a little apprehensive incase it isn’t!

We aren’t having a gender reveal type thing for us, but I wanted a nice surprise for all our family so have ordered cupcakes which will either have blue or pink buttercream in the middle when they eat it. Thought it would be nice, and who doesn’t like cake?!

On the names after 3 boys you would have thought thinking of a girls name would be easy but I’m really fussy. I’ve been teaching 15 years and literally any name I’ve taught puts me off! Plus I like usual names so we’re finding it tricky. I have one I had 18 years ago when I had my first that I still really like but I like to wait to see the baby before I decide! So @biscuitcat I totally see where you’re coming from I get put off names really easily

Yes names can be very emotional. I think one of the reasons I was hoping I'd have a girl one day would be to use my cousin's name as a middle name. She died suddenly last year and although I didn't see her very often IRL I am so aware of what a huge loss it is and feel very sad about it. I would have loved to honour her (the male version of her name is... no, lol) She also has a little girl around DS2's age so I feel almost guilty that I am here and get to have another baby and she won't have any more and can't even get to see her little girl grow up either :(

I have been playing with www.nymbler.com which is quite good although it gets a bit slow. There are also several apps which are like Tinder for baby names where you match up with your partner and it then saves a list of names you both matched with.
