@lucyrp Migraine I reckon. I had an awful one few days ago, felt I could be sick straight away if I tried and had to work in my sunglasses and with blinds down and lights off. Stay in a dark room if you can, cool compress and lots and lots of water today. Apparently headaches are quite normal now, it has to be a bad, hormonal type migraine xx

lucyrp · 19/02/2021 14:08

@PurplePansy05 I have had a couple of headaches the last few days but nothing like this one. Since being sick the headache pain seems to have eased slightly ? I'm just panicking incase it's something to do with me eating salami last week 🤦🏼‍♀️🙈 going to try get my head down after drinking some more water xx

PurplePansy05 · 19/02/2021 14:13

Oh gosh no, that definitely won't be the salami @lucyrp! It very much sounds like a hormonal headache. Don't worry about the salami 😊 just take it easy today and keep yoursel hydrated and in as quiet and dark rooms as you can, this should help. A nap/early night should help too xx

Carefree1 · 19/02/2021 14:28

@wimbler not a vegan, but a bit of a cheese addict worried about listeria.

@PurplePansy05 I didn’t know Stilton was ok to eat uncooked? Hmm. Might give me a little fix. I’m definitely going to go for a baked Camembert though, but what else...

@biscuitcat that’s exactly what I want, uncooked Brie 😂. I’d also love some goats cheese (with the rind).

@lucyrp I agree that it’s likely to be a migraine. They’re awful, just rest up and close your eyes in a quiet room, get comfortable.Try and slew and drink plenty of fluids, ideally water xx

PurplePansy05 · 19/02/2021 14:31

@Carefree1 I've screenshot from the NHS website xx

The risk from salami is toxoplasmosis, which is very rare and wouldn't cause those symptoms, Defo sounds more like migraine which can be hormonally triggered.

@Carefree1 how about a homemade pizza or nachos with melted cheese of your choice?

Pasteurised goat's cheese is also ok to eat, just not with the rind, I love it with a beetroot, pear, smoked mackerel (if you like it, or alternatively some nuts) and spinach salad.

Any hard cheese on a fresh baguette or Carrs cheese biscuits? The opportunities are endless 😂 xx

PurplePansy05 · 19/02/2021 15:01

My big love is caprese with nice mozarella, juicy tomatoes and fresh basil (I am really hungry now, sorry 😂) xx

Alittlexmasmagic · 19/02/2021 15:06

I'm not a massive cheese lover but spent a small fortune on Wensleydale (online) for DH for Valentine's Day. I do adore the pineapple version x

biscuitcat · 19/02/2021 15:22

Possibly a silly question - I'm freezing today and sat working with hot water bottle on my lap, then had a little panic about if this would be ok as I know hot baths should be avoided. Will my hot water bottle be alright? I like sitting with it by my tummy which doesn't help!

MrsB2019x · 19/02/2021 15:54

Definitely sounds like a migraine @lucyrp ☹️ Hope you feel better soon x

@biscuitcat From what I’ve read a hot water bottle is fine as it’s a localised heat, the issue with hot baths is that it raises your core body temperature

You lot have got me wanting cheese now but too nauseous to eat any! 😂😭

lucyrp · 19/02/2021 16:27

Thanks girls I've been for a nap and seems better but opening my eyes to the light made it hurt again so must be a migraine. Thought I'd had bad ones before but I've never been sick from them! I drank some water and was sick again before I went to sleep ☹️

@PurplePansy05 I've used a hot water bottle for the last couple of weeks every night to help ease back pain and have had it on my stomach for short periods too. I think as long as it's not hot hot you're fine! Same with the baths so if there's something between you and the bottle ie a hot water bottle cover ? X

biscuitcat · 19/02/2021 16:32

Thanks @MrsB2019x and @lucyrp, that's reassuring! I think I'd throw a real strop if I couldn't use my hot water bottle 😂

Hope you're feeling better soon @lucyrp, I've never had a migraine before but a bad headache floors me so I can only imagine how you're feeling xx

lucyrp · 19/02/2021 16:36

@biscuitcat sorry I tagged the wrong person! And me I've been inseparable from mine since I've had lower back pain and every night OH makes me one 😅 yeah thos isn't exactly pleasant although I'm definitely not in as much pain as before I was sick. I'm not sure why that relieved it but I'm not complaining xx

Carefree1 · 19/02/2021 16:52

Good suggestions @PurplePansy05 but I just really fancy like a cheese and biscuit picky evening. But I love caprese! I could definitely have that in my cheese fest.

@Alittlexmasmagic oo I do like a Wensleydale, I’ve not had pineapple though!

Glad you’re starting to feel a bit better @lucyrp xx

Caz1226 · 19/02/2021 18:26

Hi
Can I join please?
I’m 14.5 weeks and due 17th august
I’m still sickly and nauseous and have bad either period like pains or uncomfortable stomach ache on a night time- is this just a sign of stretching? Xx

LyraShaeLilly · 19/02/2021 18:45

Hi @Caz1226

I have these pains and think it is down to the growing baby and uterus also, and could be ligament pain.

Im 13 weeks and still nauseous and sick also, I dis see your other post but didn't get around to posting. I find that ice lollies help and I also freeze apple juice in my ice cube tray so that if I don't fancy food at least I can get some sugar from the ice cubes and takes the nasty taste away.

Caz1226 · 19/02/2021 18:48

Hi @LyraShaeLilly
That’s good to know I’m a worrier and this is my first pregnancy so still getting to grips with the constant changes and aches and pains
Thank you I have tried lollies but not the ice cube so that’s a good trick for me to keep in mind
Reading everyone’s messaging is getting me very excited
I have my 20 week scan on April’s fools day and plan to find out the gender- I hope the little one doesn’t trick us xx

MrsB2019x · 19/02/2021 19:58

@LyraShaeLilly That’s a great idea, sounds so refreshing. Though I had a very heavy night on vodka and apple juice that made a reappearance over my ex’s garden, haven’t had apple juice since so worried it might bring it all back 🤣

Welcome @Caz1226, sorry you’re still feeling so rubbish. I’m 15 weeks and still suffering with some sickness so you’re not alone!

Smallbean27 · 19/02/2021 20:13

@Caz1226 I'm 14.2 also scan on 1st April!
I too have been feeling particularly bloated/uncomfortable in an evening the last few days. I think I'm going to try and eat smaller portions rather than 1 dinner.

lucyrp · 19/02/2021 20:34

Has anyone been constipated for most of their pregnancy so far and still is ? ☹️

Caz1226 · 19/02/2021 20:48

@lucyrp
Yep 👍

BertieBotts · 19/02/2021 22:18

Yep, me too. From memory it's just there the whole way through. Annoying.

lucyrp · 19/02/2021 22:45

I watched a video earlier about women know how to stop constipation ... apparently if you put your thumb down in your vagina and push you can push the poo out ... what on earth 🙅🏼‍♀️
