Pregnancy after loss - Autumn babies 2021

Hi All, I have only just got my BFP and it's still faint atm. I had an mmc in May 2018, I then gave birth to my son May 2019. I had another mmc July 2020 and have been ttc ever since. I just got my BFP yesterday, so very early days. I'm not ready to join both groups quite yet. I thought this could be a space for us all going through pregnancy after loss. As we all understand the nerves/anxiety that go with this. I hope it's useful.

A bit of back ground on me. I'm 33, married. I have a 20 month old son. I haven't returned to work yet since maternity. I returned for 2 weeks then was put on furlough. I will be going back part time, doing 3 days.

@gizmo167 How are you feeling this morning? I've been thinking of you x

dippyegg32 · 12/02/2021 06:33

@Pancakes7 yes I got a negative test on 16th jan, clear scan on 21st where it showed I'd ovulated, af 23rd jan then ovulated again 4th feb

Pancakes7 · 12/02/2021 06:38

@dippyegg32 Okay so it can't be residual HCG then. You are probably just early. How did today's test go?

OP posts:
dippyegg32 · 12/02/2021 07:09

Defo a line but I'm convinced it's lighter than yesterday's. What will be will be. Less than 24hrs between tests and need 48hours for HCG to rise

Pancakes7 · 12/02/2021 07:14

@dippyegg32 Mine was so pale I worried initially but it did get darker by the 3rd morning. That's why I then took a digital later on. So keep waiting. 🤞🏻🌈

I think the lines look the same @dippyegg32 but as you say, it does take 48 hours so I wouldn’t expect there to be too much change 😊 how many DPO are you again?

dippyegg32 · 12/02/2021 07:45

Thanks @PumpkinEverything only 8 max 9dpo

PumpkinEverything · 12/02/2021 07:48

I wouldn’t be too worried then @dippyegg32 that’s so early so wouldn’t expect too dark of a line! I definitely see it in both tests though 😊 easier said than done, but maybe try to hold off until Monday or so before you do anymore so there’s a higher chance of it being darker?

dippyegg32 · 12/02/2021 07:51

That's absolutely what I'm going to do! Any sniff of me saying I'll do another please give me a bollocking! Grin

Pancakes7 · 12/02/2021 07:53

@dippyegg32 That's exactly like me. I did a test at 8/9DPO which in hind sight was too early. I think it's looking good for you. Those lines look good. I think they'll get darker.

PumpkinEverything · 12/02/2021 08:30

Haha 😂 yeah I think they’re pretty clear lines @dippyegg32 for that early on. Can definitely see them without the doubt of wondering if it’s an evap or shadow

Firevie · 12/02/2021 08:41

Morning so I’ve jumped on the bandwagon to test every day 🤦🏽‍♀️ So I tested on 9th with a clear blue and got a clear pregnant. A digital one on 10th and got a clear pregnant. Didn’t test yesterday as went to see my doc who has ordered HCG tests now. I just did a cheapie and got this. I’m not v good with line reading but I think the line is there right? So nothing to worry. Started on my progesterone last night and also not sure whether I’m inserting them properly 😂😂 xxx

Hi @brushlaptop and @dippyegg32, dippyegg you've summed up the feeling of this pregnancy perfectly, it feels like I'm thinking about someone else being pregnant, not me. Hope all is ok @gizmo167 Flowers

Pancakes7 · 12/02/2021 08:50

@Firevie that is a really dark clear line definitely! No doubt about that.

OP posts:
Pancakes7 · 12/02/2021 08:53

I don't feel very pregnant. I'm normally feeling sick. Although I think this is the earliest I've ever found out lol.

Firevie · 12/02/2021 08:56

@Pancakes7 thanks so much hun xxx

gizmo167 · 12/02/2021 09:45

Morning x Thanks for well wishes, no more spotting but my boobs have stopped being sore overnight which was my first symptom last time so I'm really just waiting on when the bleeding will start

Pancakes7 · 12/02/2021 10:07

@gizmo167 Aw I'm so sorry you've got this worry. But you never know, people have bleeding and it's all ok. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you xx

OP posts:
Pancakes7 · 12/02/2021 10:57

Okay I know it's silly but because I have the clear blue fertility monitor and I have all the sticks I thought why do a test on that lol. I don't think I'll ever tested for pregnancy on there before.

Oh you’re so funny @Pancakes7 I’d have done the same thing 😂

Firevie · 12/02/2021 11:29

@Pancakes7 yay 😻😻😻

Firevie · 12/02/2021 11:29

Random question - what is everyone eating? Are you changing up your diet or just continuing as normal? Xx

dippyegg32 · 12/02/2021 11:30

So ladies, I've just bought pregnacare max (or plus, I dunno the bigger one Grin) and my boobs feel weird. Not sore or heavy just err tingly. I've never ever had boob sensitivity pre period and defo not for my last pregnancy (mmc)

Pancakes7 · 12/02/2021 11:44

@Firevie I was already trying to eat healthier recently and I'm going to up that as since the MMC I have been comfort eating a lot so I've gained a bit of weight that would be good to lose. I already had healthy meals as I was doing slimming world before and I still eat those recipes. It's mostly just cutting back on junk food namely chocolate. I've also stopped my Pepsi Max addiction I actually stopped that about a month ago. I'm drinking mostly decaf tea as well and I actually started having a glass of pomegranate juice a day as of yesterday. I bought it because it's meant to be good for fertility before I knew I was pregnant but I'm going to drink a glass each day as it's meant to be good for your cells and there is some research that says it can decrease the chance of problems in pregnancy so you never know and it doesn't taste that bad.
