Pregnancy after loss - Autumn babies 2021

Hi All, I have only just got my BFP and it's still faint atm. I had an mmc in May 2018, I then gave birth to my son May 2019. I had another mmc July 2020 and have been ttc ever since. I just got my BFP yesterday, so very early days. I'm not ready to join both groups quite yet. I thought this could be a space for us all going through pregnancy after loss. As we all understand the nerves/anxiety that go with this. I hope it's useful.

A bit of back ground on me. I'm 33, married. I have a 20 month old son. I haven't returned to work yet since maternity. I returned for 2 weeks then was put on furlough. I will be going back part time, doing 3 days.

I completely get it @Pancakes7 as I’m the exact same! Don’t want to go tomorrow as I’m happy being in my naive bubble for a few weeks, but also if it’s bad news it’s probably better for me to process it earlier.

I know @Firevie it’s so hard to keep up! I had a private scan last Tuesday when I was 7+1, and I measured ahead at 7+2 and there was a heartbeat. This one tomorrow is at EPU as they offered me it after my MMC. I think I’m even more anxious about this one just because of last time as it’s scheduled for the same time as it all happened before, so this week/tomorrow has been my biggest hurdle that I want to get over!

Today has absolutely flown in and once I got out of the house I’ve been completely distracted. We got our coffee, went for a walk and then had to go to my in-laws so my husband could fix something on his dads car, and we’re only just back home and I’m finally sitting on the sofa now! So I’ve not really had time to think about things and I think it’s definitely helped. Feeling quite tired and my eyes are heavy after crying this morning so hoping I sleep tonight and then I’ll be up at the hospital before I even know it!

Firevie · 06/03/2021 21:41

@PumpkinEverything ah ok well I’m sure it will be fine tmr as the first scan went well but can understand your anxiety. But the positive first scans are great signs so it will be all fine! Keep us posted tmr and all the very best! Will think of you xxx

JRH4622 · 06/03/2021 22:19

@Pancakes7 how are you feeling today?

marplemead · 07/03/2021 07:31

@PumpkinEverything all the best for today. Will be thinking of you too.

Pancakes7 · 07/03/2021 08:08

@MrsTD88 Still feeling sick but staying sat down mostly so not sure if I feel faint or not, it only happens when I get up. But I'm 1 day closer to our scan 🤞🏻🌈 Thanks for asking. I hope you're well.

Morning Ladies! Happy Sunday! And good luck @PumpkinEverything. Can’t wait for you to report back good news xxx

PumpkinEverything · 07/03/2021 09:37

Thanks everyone! On my way up to the hospital now 😬 will let you all know when I’m done!❤️

vitaminb33 · 07/03/2021 10:01

Thinking of you @PumpkinEverything! ❤️

PumpkinEverything · 07/03/2021 10:46

All okay thankfully! Thank you all so much for all the positive vibes, I needed that so so much and I really appreciate it.

Baby measuring 8+6 which is bang on my dates, and she could see a heartbeat and no issues as far as she could see. They’ve actually doubled in size from last Tuesday and look so much more baby like which is crazy.

Can’t believe how stressful lack of symptoms can be as I really really don’t feel pregnant at all today! My mouth is so dry as I’ve barely drank 😂

@PumpkinEverything yay! I’m on a call but was refreshing the page every couple of minutes! I am so so pleased for you and so relieved also! Def shows no pregnancy symptoms/lack of them is absolutely fine and we shouldn’t worry about it! Now just chill and be grateful! Everything will be absolutely perfect! Xxx

MrsTD88 · 07/03/2021 11:02

@Pancakes7 thats rubbish you're still feeling unwell, it's difficult isn't it when you're off food as that could make you feel faint too. So exciting your scan is so soon though 😍

I was sick for the first time last night, felt awful from about 7pm onwards. Hoping today is a better day 🙏

@PumpkinEvetything how amazing so glad everything went well and what a great picture! ❤

vitaminb33 · 07/03/2021 11:05

@PumpkinEverything amazing congratulations!! 👏 beautiful scan photo, what brilliant news 🎉

Pancakes7 · 07/03/2021 11:14

@MrsTD88 I'm forcing myself to still eat even when I feel sick as I know I need to. It sometimes subsides for a little bit after I've eaten.

Just 4 days to go after today 🙈🤞🏻🌈

@PumpkinEverything Oh I'm so happy for you! ❤️ And what a beautiful scan photo! I had no idea that's what a scan for those dates would look like. I'm actually excited for mine now! Enjoy the no symptoms - everything is fine.

MrsTD88 · 07/03/2021 11:39

@Pancakes7 that's good you're still managing to eat something. Is there anything you've found that works best? I just can't seem to pinpoint anything that makes me feel better yet.

Pancakes7 · 07/03/2021 11:42

@MrsTD88 Tbh nothing really helps. But probably drier things like bread or crackers are better. I have a tea cake for breakfast to avoid all the milk. I normally have a cheese sandwich or cheese on crackers for lunch. I'm loving cheese atm although it might not be best for nausea. Crisps too especially ready salted.

I'm just realising I'm the last 'first scan' I think on Friday. I hope we keep getting good news including me! 🤞🏻🌈 my NCT girls chat are all discussing their second babies due this month & next. (3 of them are pregnant with girls) I still find it hard as I'm not sure if our baby is growing ok. 🤞🏻🌈

Thanks everyone! Wanted to try and post as soon as possible as I know I always get anxious for people waiting to post an update 😂 feeling so weird now as it just feels surreal! Hoping no sickness appears and that I’m just one of the lucky ones 😂 had a terrible sleep last night, not even because I was thinking about the scan, I was just so restless!

vitaminb33 · 07/03/2021 12:55

Feeling slightly more positive myself today! Woke up with godawful carpal tunnel which I had really badly with my healthy pregnancy so taking that as a good sign (even though I'm sure that's ridiculous).

And I got a 3+ today on the weeks indicator which lines up with how far along I thought I was (l think probably exactly 5 weeks now), so hopefully I have some indication for when it comes to my first scan. 😅

@PumpkinEverything YAY!!! Soo pleased for you!! You can relax now and know that all is well xxx

Pancakes7 · 07/03/2021 12:59

@PumpkinEverything Soak it all in and enjoy your nachos lol. Brilliant news. I hope you can relax more now and enjoy it.

OP posts:
PumpkinEverything · 07/03/2021 13:05

Haha, can’t wait for my nachos @Pancakes7 ! I absolutely need to reign it in. I’m so embarrassed if our neighbours seen us every time we came home this week 😳 Wednesday morning we brought home Starbucks (husband had a McDonald’s breakfast), thurs night was dominos, fri day we got from a local coffee shop and then subway for dinner, Saturday was five guys, and then today we came home with Starbucks 😂😂 this is how I deal with stress haha.

Aw great @vitaminb33 it’s such a thrill to see that 3+ 😁
