Pregnancy after loss - Autumn babies 2021

Hi All, I have only just got my BFP and it's still faint atm. I had an mmc in May 2018, I then gave birth to my son May 2019. I had another mmc July 2020 and have been ttc ever since. I just got my BFP yesterday, so very early days. I'm not ready to join both groups quite yet. I thought this could be a space for us all going through pregnancy after loss. As we all understand the nerves/anxiety that go with this. I hope it's useful.

A bit of back ground on me. I'm 33, married. I have a 20 month old son. I haven't returned to work yet since maternity. I returned for 2 weeks then was put on furlough. I will be going back part time, doing 3 days.

@dippyegg32 it could be that you ovulated a bit later than you think. It's still early. I would try a clear blue digital to see the words

I'm so tired today I just nodded off and woke with a jolt. I went to bed early at 9 last night up at half 5 (my son woke me up) I think it's already the pregnancy zapping my energy. Heartburn too and painful boobs on and off. Still feeling a bit in denial though despite all this lol

Argh! Supposed to have my early scan on Sunday with window to the womb and realised they only sent me an email to say booking pending, and that email said I’d get another when it was confirmed. The payment has already been taken from my bank account so I gave them a ring to confirm and they said they can only see it as pending and they’re now fully booked for Sunday 😔 have had to rebook it for Wednesday 24th instead. I know it’s only a few days, but each day is absolutely dragging in and that extra 3 days is going to be so difficult for me!

Pancakes7 · 16/02/2021 16:43

@PumpkinEverything Oh no that sucks! I would be the same as you an extra 3 days is ages atm. I'm so sorry. I guess at least you realised now rather than going there expecting your scan then maybe having to book even further in advance. X

@Pancakes7 have now had to change it to Tuesday morning as wed doesn’t suit my husband with work 😂🤦‍♀️ So at least I’m forward a day I guess. Yes absolutely, I think I’d have actually cried my eyes out if I went on Sunday and they turned me away as I know my anxiety will be through the roof and I’ll be so worked up the day I do go!

Strawberry08 · 16/02/2021 17:35

@PumpkinEverything oh no!! That’s so annoying when you get your mind on something and now you have to wait longer. BUT it will be a better scan a few days further along.

Yay I’ve graduated!!

@PumpkinEverything oh yay I'm glad it's a day sooner plus Morning is good as otherwise you're waiting around all day.

@Strawberry08 Haha yay! Are you 4 weeks +1 same as me? I haven't got any more tests so I'm going to leave it now. They're too pricey lol

Strawberry08 · 16/02/2021 18:07

@Pancakes7 I think I am 1 day ahead at 4+2 . I am going to take one more digital on Sunday to see if it changes to 3+ but nothing until then and then nothing after. Has to stop at some point 😂

PumpkinEverything · 16/02/2021 18:11

I’m so glad it’s in the morning as it means I’ll only be up a few hours and then get it out of the way @Pancakes7

Yay! Congratulations @Strawberry08 so satisfying seeing that 😁

Pancakes7 · 16/02/2021 19:01

@Strawberry08 Ah ok, so is your due date 24/10? Mine is 25/10. (I was 4 weeks yesterday.) I know some apps count it differently

OP posts:
Strawberry08 · 16/02/2021 19:22

Yeah I counted wrong before - my dd is 24/10. I think anyway but I’m sure il be told differently at my first scan 😂

Furbsies · 16/02/2021 19:25

Hey guys. I just got my BFP after miscarriage last year may, hoping for a little sticky rainbow.
Here after @PumpkinEverything told me about this thread.

How is everyone doing

PumpkinEverything · 16/02/2021 20:06

Glad to see you @Furbsies 😊 @Pancakes7 made this after a few of us all got our BFP at the same time in the TTC group so we weren’t crowding that up with pregnancy chat.

I’m 6+1 today 😊 had a MMC with surgical management in December and hoping so hard this is going to be rainbow baby, it’ll be my first

Jellybean8 · 16/02/2021 20:12

Hi ladies. I hope you don't mind me joining. I've just tested positive this morning and absolutely terrified after a MMC last Autumn. I feel quite flat and I'm not sure how to manage the next few weeks. Really don't want to tell anyone in real life but also absolutely need someone to talk to about it all.

Strawberry08 · 16/02/2021 21:13

@Jellybean8 @Furbsies welcome both! It’s a really anxious time getting a positive after a miscarriage but we all just take it day by day. This group is super helpful for support I am finding. X

pixienewbie · 16/02/2021 21:17

Hey I’m hoping this is a place I can camp out for a while! I’m 5+1 after a MMC in Sept/Oct. This will hopefully be baby 2 (already have a 2yr old dd) Really nervous but trying to think positively. Considering an early scan. My MMC didn’t progress past 6/7 weeks. xx

Pancakes7 · 16/02/2021 21:44

Welcome @Furbsies, @Jellybean8 & @pixienewbie . I'm sorry for your losses. This thread is really supportive. We all mostly met in a ttc after mc thread and got BFP's at similar times.

I have had 2 x mmc's and 1 son who is 21 months old. Both my mmc's stopped growing at about 6 weeks as well. I'm planning to book a private early scan at about 8 weeks.

Pancakes7 · 16/02/2021 21:45

@Strawberry08 Yeah I'm sure all of our dates will change slightly 🤞🏻

Thanks for the welcome @Pancakes7 and congrats on your BFP!

imisscoffee · 17/02/2021 07:38

Hi @pixienewbie @Furbsies and @Jellybean8 👋

The tiredness started yesterday, I felt like a zombie.

Pancakes7 · 17/02/2021 08:45

@imisscoffee Yes I've been there same! I'm so tired. I'm forgetful too already lol

PumpkinEverything · 17/02/2021 08:50

Welcome @Jellybean8 @pixienewbie 😊 we can definitely all support each other here as we’re all in similar boats and understand what each other is going through.

Last time I felt like I was constantly on knicker watch as the main thing I did to check (still do this but not as obsessively). This time it’s checking my boobs as soon as I wake up and what feels like a million times a day 🤦‍♀️ I’m actually going to make them hurt the amount I poke at them. Sometimes I think I walk down the stairs a bit harder to see if it hurts them 😂 feel like a crazy person!
Think I’m paranoid as they hurt a lot more last time and that disappeared around the time baby stopped growing, but I hadn’t realised that was a ‘symptom’ for miscarriage, so didn’t think much of it

Pancakes7 · 17/02/2021 08:54

@PumpkinEverything I remember doing this when I was pregnant with my son. The constant boob checking lol. Mine hurt on and off atm but I'm sure they'll hurt more as time goes on. I still don't feel as sick as I have with my past 3 pregnancies. Strange how different this pregnancy is so far. I just hope it's ok🤞🏻

OP posts:
PumpkinEverything · 17/02/2021 08:58

It is tiring @Pancakes7 😂 feel like I keep convincing myself they hurt less than yesterday or than they did earlier that day, but I’m just being silly. Think last time they were a lot sorer; but I’m telling myself they aren’t as bad this time as my MMC was so recent that they already got their pre stretch in 😂
My nausea is very weird and confusing. It almost feels like I’m imagining it. I felt slightly sick when I woke up after having some water, and then again in the car after getting our shopping (we go early before work) but then it went away both times and I’ve been fine. I haven’t had anything to eat yet today, just a decaf coffee that I’m currently drinking.

Pancakes7 · 17/02/2021 09:22

@PumpkinEverything It can come and go I think. But I get what you mean as my nausea is mostly there when I'm trying to eat and is very on and off. My other 3 pregnancies I was in bed for a few days with nausea and a migraine. With one I was actually sick. All were at 4 weeks or just before when I found out. I was never sure if it was part hormone part shock/fear. Maybe this time I'm just a bit numb still so the panic hasn't set on yet? My boobs hurt randomly but not constantly yet. They seem worse in the evenings.
