@Threecouldbefour I haven't seen an August thread yet .

I'm due around 3rd August so early days yet .

I have a scab on Friday as I had a bleed and my last pregnancy ended in miscarriage at 14 weeks so I'm very anxious .

The bleed was almost a Week ago now and my tests are still positive and nausea has started to kick in so I'm hoping that's a good sign ! Xxx

Threecouldbefour · 01/12/2020 23:37

Hi @Donnat89 Im very sorry to hear about your miscarriage. That must have been so hard. I had one at 8 weeks before our last baby. It's such a nerve wracking time. Fingers crossed your bleed was nothing to worry about if you now feel nauseous. I don't feel anything at all yet. I'm 4+6 so maybe it's simply too early. Best of luck at your scan on Friday. Nice to hear from someone else at a similar point Smile

Hi, Keeping everything crossed for you. We also lost one at ten weeks. Just found out yesterday about this pregnancy, due 12th August. Over the moon but the fear of it going wrong is hard.

Donnat89 · 02/12/2020 07:37

Thanks ladies . I'm so anxious so I'm hoping il start to feel less anxious after Friday tbh .

I already have an august baby my little girl is 7th august ! Nice month to have a birthday ! Cx

Threecouldbefour · 02/12/2020 08:24

We also have two August dc here - birthdays are a week apart. It is indeed a lovely month. So nice to have them at home for their birthdays with it being summer holidays.

Fingers crossed...

@Dollydulcie Do you feel any different? I just feel normal Hmm

@Threecouldbefour I don’t feel pregnant but I am literally a crazy lady every time I go for a wee. I hope the nerves calm down. I have a 5 and 2 year old and would love to enjoy this pregnancy. Have you told your family yet? X

Donnat89 · 02/12/2020 11:47

@Dollydulcie I'm the same I just want to try relax !

I've told my sister as had to as we where meant to be going on holiday on August (after postponing due to Covid )

And my oh parents know. We don't plan to announce until we have the all clear at 12 week scan . But we are due to be seeing family at Christmas so not sure how we are gonna stop people from guessing 😂 xxx

Have you told anyone yet ? X

Dollydulcie · 02/12/2020 13:31

Sorry my post must not have posted. No not told anyone yet but I want to lol ;) x

Threecouldbefour · 02/12/2020 17:08

I have told my parents and my two best friends. Basically the people I would seek support from if anything went wrong - and who were there for me before. Very personal choice though. I'm always amazed when I see people on here who haven't told their husband as soon as they get positive! Grin

Lol I hear you, no my hubby was there when I took the test and the subsequent three, just to make sure ;) I want to tell everyone (family), especially the little people but my hubby wants us to be cautious.

Threecouldbefour · 02/12/2020 18:19

I'm looking forward to telling our children too, all being well. Smile

Have any of you informed your GP yet? Also, how do you feel about Covid? I'm trying not to worry about it but it is sort of in the back of my mind!

Yes I'm waiting to tell me kids as soon as I know all is ok , and I agree I've only told people who supported us before and who I can trust not to tell everyone .

I will announce fully at 12 weeks is the plan but we will see lol xxx

PurplePops · 03/12/2020 07:34

Thank you @Threecouldbefour and congratulations everyone! X

Any slight twinge or cramp im worried something is wrong! I've booked a private scan just before Xmas so we can tell our closest family on Xmas day all being well. I don't think I could hide it over Xmas with no alcohol and avoiding foods otherwise would have waited till 12 weeks xx

TiredAllTheTime3000 · 03/12/2020 12:13

Hi, may I join too? I found out a couple of days ago that I’m pregnant, estimated due date is 13/14th august. I’ve had 2 miscarriages in the past and have 2 children. Roughly about 4 weeks along going by LMP. I’m finding things very odd as I tested before missed period and I’ve had clear positives on both digital and non digital tests. Experiencing pain very low down in pelvic region and hips. I was due anytime between today and Saturday so I’m not sure what’s going on. Thank you x

Threecouldbefour · 03/12/2020 14:37

Hi @TiredAllTheTime3000

Welcome and congratulations. I also tested before missed period - got a faint positive 6 days before being due on. I've realised the time really drags when you know so early!

I'm not sure whether to book private scan before Christmas or not. I'd love to know all is well but I'm not sure whether to just wait. Although I'm going to get NIPT again which, if i remember correctly is done around 9 weeks so could get a scan then too. Need to look into that.

I've also had some (very mild) period like pains - but like everyone, I'm probably looking out for the slightest twinge!

Hope everyone's having a good day. X

@TiredAllTheTime3000 meant to say. Sorry about your miscarriages. Thanks

Thank you for replying. It's somewhat reassuring in a way that we can go through this all together so to speak. I only joined mums net today and so glad I found this thread.. I think I'm slightly concerned as I keep getting random aches, pains or twinges in random areas. My friend said you never know it could be twins 🙈🙈 told her not to scare me, labour is scary enough haha. I think that's why I'm considering an early scan after Christmas to see if everything is ok and how many there are in there 😂

Hope all is well with everyone

Just creeping in to join the August club.

I had a positive test this morning, and going by LMP working out of a due date of 10th August. I video called OH this morning, as he is currently on deployment. Didn't overly get the reaction I wanted, but I think that was just shock, as we've been trying for 12 months.

I've told my sister and best friend, because I think the support with be helpful, while OH is away.

I keep feeling really crampy, and going to the loo to double check. First baby, so feeling scared, worried and a little excited.

Threecouldbefour · 04/12/2020 23:57

@JustMouse Hi and congratulations! Sorry for short message - falling asleep in bed! X

PurplePops · 05/12/2020 08:42

@JustMouse welcome & congratulations!

I'm in a similar position to you, my expected due date is 9/10 August. It must be hard with your OH away but good you have told people for some support.

First pregnancy is hard because you have no idea what is normal and what isn't. I also keep checking everytime I go to the loo and actually went to my doctors yesterday because I was having bad cramps in my lower right side, they didn't seem concerned and said cramping is normal at this stage.

I'm so glad I found this forum feel like I'm going to have lots of questions over the coming months! Xx

JustMouse · 05/12/2020 08:53

@PurplePops - Thank you.

I don't think the next few months will be easy with him away, but it is what it is. Fingers crossed he may manage to get home next weekend for a few days, but it does mean working 2 weeks straight and it's long hours!

I'm feeling very crampy on my left side, but it comes and goes. I've been awake since silly o'clock this morning. I'm glad I have found here to ask all my questions as well. My sister had a little one 6 months ago and has been useless, she didn't have a single symptom in the first 12 weeks!! Yet, i'm already getting waves of feeling sick, which seems to be as I get hungry.

TiredAllTheTime3000 · 05/12/2020 09:14

Anyone else having pressure type feelings and cramps in the pelvic region? Like right between the legs? And quite possibly feels like a possibly tingling cervix?? This is like my 5th pregnancy counting the 2 miscarriages and obviously my 2 dc but this is soooo odd 🙈 I've also noticed I'm waking up hungry a lot at night/in the morning and the needing to pee more seems to be increasing too

muminatiz · 05/12/2020 09:26

Hi everyone ☺ thought I'd join in too hope thats ok.
I've just found out this week that I'm expecting again with baby no 2. I think I'm between 4 and 5 weeks. I have 2 apps and both have a different estimate.
I'm also considering an early scan before Christmas so I can share with my mum and close family on Christmas day. I've only told my other half so far and feel like I need to talk to someone else.
My emotions are a bit all over the place just now and sometimes men just aren't the best at responding or advice lol
Has anyone experienced tender breasts ? Mine have been really sensitive and slight nausea yesterday but apart from that I'm OK.
