Congratulations @mostlyambridgeandcoffee! Hope you're recovering well and home soon.
Is that the first baby girl so far?!

pangolin84 · 09/09/2020 17:03

@MooseWL At my last appointment 36+3 they had a feel and he was head down and 4/5th palpable so I think that means he’s a little bit engaged?! To be honest I haven’t noticed any difference. The movements are all over the place. Next appointment on Monday - will be interesting to see if he’s getting lower!

Lorna198 · 09/09/2020 17:23

@MostlyAmbridgeandcoffee congratulations to you! Hope you have a quick recovery!

Lilice · 09/09/2020 17:37

Congratulations @MostlyAmbridgeandcoffee on your baby girl Flowers hope you have a speedy recovery and be home soon.

@MooseWL my baby wasnt engaged at all at my 36 week appointment and i still have the bum right at the top by my ribs, im carrying very high 🥴 it's not comfortable and my bump is quite asymmetrical

I cant remember who asked but at my hospital (im in essex) one person can visit for 45 minutes. I wonder if that will change, with yesterday's announcement 😏

LatteLover12 · 09/09/2020 17:45

Congratulations @MostlyAmbridgeandcoffee 💕

I had my final midwife appointment today and baby is fully engaged which might explain the crunchy pelvis!

1 week to go... 👶🏼💙

Hope you're okay @ShiningStarz

MooseWL · 09/09/2020 18:07

@roxy8203 ah yeah makes sense to give it a couple of days to work before 40 weeks. Get bouncing on that ball and relaxing to release those hormones!

@mostlyambridgeandcoffee congratulations ❤️ hope you're both recovering!

@liquoricecravings @glasha87 @lilice ah my kicks are still all over. I've been doing yoga too throughout and they said last time his head is just above my pelvis and he's the right way round and everything! I've been carrying pretty high throughout too my bump starts literally under my boobs!

@pangolin84 we're almost the same stage (I'm due 25th) and my next midwife appointment is next Tuesday so will see if there's any change! I have no idea how the midwives can even tell just by poking around tbh!

Aw someone from work just dropped off a beautiful baby bundle of baby things shaped like a cake from a team collection! So cute considering no one has been in the office since March! 2 working days to go!

Emmy2020 · 09/09/2020 18:13

@MostlyAmbridgeandcoffee Congratulations 😊

Roxy8203 · 09/09/2020 18:20

@pangolin84 what is the policy in Ireland? I think it's pretty strict here, I don't think the dads should have to book in and only he allowed an hour a day with their new borns

@MooseWL it's a couple days before 42 weeks, I was 40 weeks a week ago. She said the risk of still birth doubles after 42 weeks so they like to make sure any inductions are done in time to get the baby out

MooseWL · 09/09/2020 18:32

@roxy8203 oh yeah that's what I meant 42 weeks!

Lazydaisydaydream · 09/09/2020 19:41

@Roxy8203 I'm 41 weeks today. Have had a few nights now of cramps and mild contractions which then just fade away to nothing by morning so I'm pretty tired! And fed up! Got my second sweep tomorrow, when I had one last week she said I was about 1cm and that she thought I'd be 2 OR 3 if I made it to this appointment and that she could do another good sweep and then we could talk about me maybe going in to have my waters broken. As I'm going for a vbac really wanted as little intervention as possible but trying to balance That with best thing for baby and just being done being pregnant BlushGrin

Chanel05 · 09/09/2020 19:44

ShiningStarz · 09/09/2020 19:51

Well I'm in the induction ward. Got the call to head in for 6pm. Baby heart rate was monitored for 20 minutes and then the pessary was inserted. I am 1cm dilated. Wasn't exactly pleasant but it was fine.

I'm glad I bought disposable pants as I plan to put on a pair before I put on my pj bottoms!! I'm already covered in gel!!

I'm Hooked back on the heart rate monitor for another hour or so and then they keep
Monitoring every 4hrs throughout the night.
My partner has left, he stayed for 2 hrs but won't be allowed back until either they break waters / labour starts. We are all in the same boat, we have so got this, even through the stupid corona virus!!!! 💕

ShiningStarz · 09/09/2020 20:08

Awwww congrats @MostlyAmbridgeandcoffee 💕

@glasha87 I'm 40 weeks today. Planned induction due to gestational diabetes.

Thanks @LatteLover12 all is good, I'm glad it's all started!! Although iv only been here 2hrs and I already miss my partner and my sofa lol!! I need to man up!!

It really helps me knowing I have you ladies virtually. 💕

Wow @MooseWL what a lovely surprise 😊

Thanks @Chanel05 for doing all the dates and taking charge!! How are you feeling?

Roxy8203 · 09/09/2020 20:16

@Lazydaisydaydream I have my fingers crossed for our sweeps to work and that we don't need an induction. I've not had any cramps but walking is getting slower and heavier. I'm pretty sure he keeps changing side so not 100% sure he is completely engaged, on Monday he was nearly there. I was 1cm on Monday so hoping for a bit more tomorrow and that the sweep starts things off. It would be nice to have him here by the weekend and we aren't just hanging around waiting for something that doesn't come 🙄

Lazydaisydaydream · 09/09/2020 20:53

@Roxy8203 yes I really want the baby here before the weekend. I've told my DH though that if it isn't and I'm booked in for an induction next week instead then I don't want to see anyone or do anything this weekend... Fed up of his family just calling around to "check in" and hanging around when I'd like to just lounge around and spend some time with my toddler in peace 🙈

Good luck @ShiningStarz!!

flameprincess · 09/09/2020 20:56

@glasha87 yes he's an only child but at 12 it's not like a tiny newborn will impact him in the pecking order much or want to share his 'toys' so no idea why the negativity - seems to be a theme with everyone who has a big gap though - glad your DD has had some glimmers of positivity that's so sweet she wants to be a great big sister!

Interesting reading the different regulations everyone has at their hospitals. My midwife told me DP can't be with me when I have the spinal which I'm gutted about as I wanted a hand hold - but he will be able to come in once I'm on the op table - then he can visit normal hours but no other visitors. Seems everyone else is being told an hour a day so I'm worried what she's told me is wrong now - I may ask the consultant next week at the hospital.

Went for a growth scan yesterday was stuck at the hospital for 3 hours waiting room was packed they were so understaffed - a lot of angry hormonal pregnant women to contend with. Baby has come down slightly from his growth line but still in normal range but annoyingly I have to go for yet another scan next week so they can check and also my blood pressure was slightly raised. It was raised because I'd been stuck in the hospital for 3 hours Hmm Just wish little one would come of his own accord now, had plans to seduce DP tonight but the thought of doing the deed while I'm like an overturned chubby tortoise is too much to much to contend with.

I think because DS1 was early I had set myself up for a repeat performance with this one and I'm disappointed he's intent on staying put till due date Grin

Roxy8203 · 09/09/2020 21:06

@Lazydaisydaydream I think mine have started to go the other way now as I've made it clear I will tell them when he's here and not to keep going on coz it's annoying.
Yeah shut the curtains and stay in your Pj's all weekend, make the most of the last weekend before there is a tiny high maintenance person to look after 😂

emma278 · 10/09/2020 08:51

@ShiningStarz thinking of you! All the best! No movement here. X

Emmy2020 · 10/09/2020 10:35

How is everyone doing? Any news?
I’ve just woken up from my morning nap after taking my girls to school, trying to wake myself up now 😁

Sunshinexx95 · 10/09/2020 11:00

Hi everyone 🎀🎀🎀❤️❤️
I know haven't been posting a lot.
Saturday night my baby's movement decreased tragically and I went to the hospital to check it out. I got induced the day after due to my babies heart rate not being stable at all. She was ready to come out already at 39+6 on Monday night 23:22 just 38 minutes before her due date. I was out Tuesday afternoon and are at my parents house.
Everything went alright in my opinion but coming home with a new born and stitches has been tuff and I'm so happy my mum is helping out.

I hope everyone is fine and congratulation to mums who already got their babies ❤️❤️❤️
And to those who is still waiting, enjoy your night sleep 😴 and I wish you good luck ❤️ it is not much left 😍🥰🥰

flameprincess · 10/09/2020 11:06

Aww congratulations @Sunshinexx95 bet that's been quite a whirlwind!

@Emmy2020 sounds like my routine I wake up to do DS breakfast before school then promptly get back into bed after he leaves Grin

Roxy8203 · 10/09/2020 11:48

@Sunshinexx95 congratulations

Emmy2020 · 10/09/2020 12:02

@Sunshinexx95 Congratulations, that sounds so scary! X

Emmy2020 · 10/09/2020 12:02

@flameprincess I seem to sleep better in the day than at night

flameprincess · 10/09/2020 12:05

@Emmy2020 me too - mainly because my DP is at work so I have the whole bed to myself. I don't have the room to roll around at night with this big bump!
