Thanks @lilice that one looks good.
@emmy2020 I was given a second hand bath but no idea where it will live!

Just washing more baby stuff...you know how everyone says you can never have enough muslins... Literally everyone I know has bought me muslins... Current count 17 😂 i feel like that is too many. I think there's going to be some regifting going on.

Emmy2020 · 06/09/2020 11:18

@MooseWL Yeah I got given a baby bath from John Lewis but it’s taking up so much room, then when I showed my mum that compact bath she said she’d buy it which was lovely! So think I’m just going to sell or give away the baby bath I currently have.

ShiningStarz · 06/09/2020 12:02

That bath looks great @Emmy2020 I ordered the schnuggle bath from John Lewis as I needed something up to 6 months as we needed to get our bathroom done. Now it's flipping done and I have the big baby bath lol but I can use it in the main bath I suppose! Not sure where it's going to be stored tho 🙈 I got the tomee tippee thermometer too.

Sara7455 · 06/09/2020 12:04

@MooseWL - you might be surprised. I’ve somehow ended up with what feels like a million muslins but also have about 5 on the go at once somehow so they do get used!

@HugeAgeGap congrats on your little girl! How lovely! Hope the c-section pain subsides quickly for you

ShiningStarz · 06/09/2020 12:05

@flameprincess I'm lolling at your msg too!!!! Same here, iv no clue what to expect. I always thought it would be movie like gushing of waters and then contractions lol but I now know that's not the case 😂😂

mamamemmmer · 06/09/2020 12:06

@MooseWL You wait until baby starts teething/being sick with milk, you'll go through about 5 muslins a day or loads of bibs! They'll come in handy I promise 😂

Emmy2020 · 06/09/2020 12:11

@ShiningStarz Yeah I have the same one, the schnuggle which is currently on my floor taking up space! This new one will be great for space saving!

CookieBlue · 06/09/2020 12:15

Hi all! I’m really late to the party but is it ok to join? I’m due on the 22nd September but am booked in for a c-section on the 16th so have just 10 days to go. It’ll be girl number two, we already have a 5 year old DD. Getting so nervous now even though I’ve done it once before! Congrats to everyone who’s babies have arrived already Flowers makes it seem so much more real!

liquoricecravings · 06/09/2020 14:32

Congratulations on the safe arrival of your little girl @HugeAgeGap!

@MooseWL I've bought a duck thermometer from Jojo Maman for the bath. I've also got a similar amount of muslins to you - I've spread them out around the house already. They're in the bedroom, living room, nursery and the changing bag.

I've also bought the shnuggle bath and I'm storing it on top of the wardrobe in the nursery so that it's out of the way.

Hi @CookieBlue!

ChipsAreLife · 06/09/2020 15:29

@HugeAgeGap had my section at 2 on Friday was let out by 3 yesterday. I got one for of ormaporph in recovery and three codeine through the night. I asked for additional painkillers with discharge dr said yes and then midwife said he had written it down and went on about how it would take 4 hours to get and it wouldn't happen so just left. Got offered no lunch yesterday and wasn't allowed visitor. All in all wasn't happy.

Saw midwife today she's been trying to contact out of hours go but can't get hold of him. So I'm trying to cope on paracetamol it's not fun!!! She's taken dressing off so going to shower tonight when girls are asleep. Can't wait!!!

Whoever posted those cantaloop pants I love you! Just had some arrive and they're amazing. Expensive not worth every penny!!!

glasha87 · 06/09/2020 15:51

Congratulations mamas! 💙💗 Lots of September babies since I last checked in, wonderful to see.

@ChipsAreLife, congratulations! Flowers I’m having my first section on the 14th, getting a bit nervous seeing you and @HugeAgeGap mentioning the pain! You were both out of the hospital fairly quickly, is this the norm? A two night stay? - all going well of course!

I bought disposable pants from Amazon and big M&S cotton knickers but I’m tempted to invest in the cantaloop pants! Pre pregnancy I wore 8-10 undies, should I purchase a S?

glasha87 · 06/09/2020 15:56

@ShiningStarz I’ve seen you mention that you can’t quite believe there’s a baby in there! I’m so feeling that way too! Even though I’ve already gone through the process and been amazed by it all once, it’s still hard to believe the second time around.

My cat is being extra cute and it’s coinciding with lots and lots of Braxton Hicks - I better hold out another week 🤞🏻

LatteLover12 · 06/09/2020 16:12

Oh! That was me @ChipsAreLife now I need to order some too!

@CookieBlue I'm having my little boy by cs on the 16th too - can't bloody wait! My pelvis is rapidly disintegrating & I'm up at 4am every day!

LatteLover12 · 06/09/2020 16:15

@glasha87 I think I'll only be in for one night, all being wee, they're turfing people out very quickly at the minute.

Basically, as long as you've had a wee & your bp is stable you're free to go. Can't imagine they do the same with any other kind of major surgery?!

ChipsAreLife · 06/09/2020 16:52

@glasha87 sorry not trying to make you nervous. For me because I was a third time mum, feeding was ok and I had down a wee and was mobile the main midwife wanted me out. The dr did say I could stay if I needed to but they were so busy I got more help at home! Just push to stay in if you need to.

I was lucky that I had a private room 🥳 but that was because they were so busy so I got left alone a lot!

The the pants thanks @LatteLover12!! On sizes pre pregnancy I was a 12 and went for a large. My stomach is quite swollen post op and my arse is quite swollen post pregnancy eating 🤣🤣🤣

glasha87 · 06/09/2020 17:29

@LatteLover12, my pelvis feels like it’s disintegrating too, as do my knees Blush. The latter is not a pain I thought I would have to contend with at the age of 32. Hoping it’s just hormones 🤞🏻

I had terrible trouble weeing after cerclage placement/catheter - fingers crossed this time around it will be easier. I would love to be home sooner but feel I may need the help (and hospital grade meds), if it’s available that is! It’s been a long time since I had a baby and this time I’ll have to factor in pain management. Hopefully all will be okay - I’m just really looking forward to it now, pain n’ all!

Thank you for the advice @ChipsAreLife
Must purchase yet more pants! 😂🙈

LatteLover12 · 06/09/2020 17:55

😂 @ChipsAreLife I'm going to take your sizing advice too. People have stopped saying 'oh you're so neat' to me and now just look scared as I waddle towards them...

It's 8 years since I had my last baby @glasha87 so god knows what state I'll be in on the 17th...

Lilice · 06/09/2020 18:17

Anybody else started snoring? I try to take a nap and as soon as I fall asleep I start snoring and wake myself up 😖 im really ready for this pregnancy to be over...

sianyflewog · 06/09/2020 18:38

@lilice I’ve been seriously snoring for weeks now 🙈

glasha87 · 06/09/2020 18:38

@Lilice, me Blush

DP has been using earplugs the last few nights 🙄 Apparently last night my snoring penetrated the earplugs! It’s particularly bad and I’ll wake myself up if I sleep on my right hand side.

I’ve never snored before!

I’m thinking of it as retribution for all those sleepless nights I’ve had in the past!

sianyflewog · 06/09/2020 18:39

@MooseWL Do not get rid of those Muslins. Have some to hand in every room, a couple kept in your change bag etc - you will use them all! 🙈😂

glasha87 · 06/09/2020 18:43

@LatteLover12, there really are some big age gaps on this thread! It will be all new for you too! ❤️

My DD1 turns 12 on the 19th so hopefully I’m functioning somewhat okay come then 🤞🏻

ShiningStarz · 06/09/2020 19:11

I'm lol lol lolling 😂😂😂 at the snoring !!!!! Hahahah!!!!!

Welcome and congrats @CookieBlue 💕

Iv 2 days now to go naturally!!! Induction booked for Wed 😱 I was feeling pretty relaxed but now I am shitting myself!!!! I'm so not great with pain but want to do as much as I can with gas and air. 🤞
Going to have a bath (first time this year)) and get all snug and try some more colostrum harvesting.

Emmy2020 · 06/09/2020 19:52

@Lilice Me too, only snore when I’m pregnant and it wakes me too although when I do it’s always after a lovely deep sleep so must only happen after that.
Couldn’t eat dinner today just two mouthfuls and couldn’t even tidy the kitchen after like I usually do, I just felt so sick I had to go straight to bed and got one of my girls to bring me a bowl just in case I was sick. Have a had a sleep and not feeling as sick but staying in bed for now.

Emmy2020 · 06/09/2020 20:27

@glasha87 I will have a big age gap I have two girls one is 14 and the other is 11.
