Congratulations @CookieBlue 🤗

NeuroMama · 17/09/2020 07:56

So much happening so fast now. Congratulations to everyone whose little one has arrived. Good luck today @Lilice.

MooseWL · 17/09/2020 09:17

Congrats everyone. How exciting @lilice
I've got mild period cramps on one side this morning (the side where the baby is) and diarrhoea. Can't decide if the cramps are just from the diarrhoea. In absolute denial that this baby might come early but now getting a bit obsessed symptom spotting 😂

OrDis · 17/09/2020 09:24

Congrats to everyone who has had there babies! I had some diarrhoea last night @MooseWL and some mild cramping too- think it must have just been the diarrhoea though because once again, woke this morning feeling nada lol!!

Margo34 · 17/09/2020 09:32

@MooseWL I'm the same, period like pains and uncomfy guts 🤭 Think my DD is one day behind you, too! I want baby to come before DD but I'm in denial about the whole labour process 🙈

Driving myself potty with symptom spotting (and labour probability checking) as well! Arghhh!

Emmy2020b · 17/09/2020 10:04

Well just had a scan and consultation. Then had a sweep god that was so painful!! Just went in main hospital to go get a drink and went to toilet and lots of pale pink blood on paper!
So doctor said if it works it can happen in 48 hours. If not I can have another Monday when I come in for a Covid test and my induction is booked for Thursday.

sianyflewog · 17/09/2020 19:39

Congratulations to everyone else on their new arrivals. Hope there’s news from you soon @Lilice

We are home ❤️ my little boy is absolutely smitten and I’m pretty sure she’s the cutest little bundle I’ve ever seen, even if she does have my temper. I’m starting to feel post partum hormonal this afternoon, beating myself up over feeding which isn’t as easy as it was on H, and hoping for some common sense to come back into my head! Hope everyone else is good Xxx

Roxy8203 · 17/09/2020 20:10

@sianyflewog the hormones are driving me mad, I feel so irrational and over sensitive

emma278 · 17/09/2020 20:29

@Roxy8203 i feel you!! Day and I cannot stop crying. The what have we done thoughts and am i doing things wrong and just general sadness.

emma278 · 17/09/2020 20:29

Day 4

Roxy8203 · 17/09/2020 20:40

@emma278 yep day 6. Mum came round today with all the advice I didn't ask for and because I'm over sensitive I've just got upset to my other half.

sianyflewog · 17/09/2020 21:46

@roxy8203 @emma278 Ahhhh girls i feel you! I’m day 2 and it’s just kicking in, along with my milk 🙈
I have in my same moment this evening made the decision to combi feed, expressing the breast milk until the supply dwindles, because this is my last baby and I want to really enjoy this newborn phase rather than spending my time beating myself up over things which is what I did last time around. And I feel better already. I’m always such a strong advocate of fed is best so I don’t know why I’m putting so much pressure on myself 🤷🏼‍♀️

Hi ladies. After a 33 hour labour which ended in pushing for an hour, attempted suction and finally, emcs resulting in a blood transfusion from major blood loss, my beautiful baby girl arrived at 3.29pm today. We are besotted with her!

flameprincess · 17/09/2020 23:07

Congrats to all who've had babies in the last few days - they are coming thick and fast now!

Had loads of movement today so no panic trip to the hosp - hopefully he can stay that way. I'm so relieved I cried when he was kicking me strongly again I have been sick with worry.

Having cramps on and off all day and constantly checking the loo for my show thinking there might be something there. I've never seen one my waters went gradually last time and I never saw a plug or any pink liquid so maybe I'm not going to this time. Feels like my body is getting all the signs of labour but too few and far between to be meaningful. So annoying feeling like every twinge could be it!

Roxy8203 · 18/09/2020 00:07

Congratulations @Chanel05. Sounds eventful, hope you are ok

Lilice · 18/09/2020 00:31

Congratulations @Chanel05 on baby Chanel 💕

Lilice · 18/09/2020 00:39

I came home tonight with my baby girl 😍 it was a bit crazy today. The midwife kept me in the ward saying I wasn't in active labour and therefore my husband couldn't be with me. Then she examined me and said I was 4 cm. 🤯 I started crying, asking for the epidural. I then phoned my husband to tell him to come. There was no gap between my contractions at this stage! I couldn't see how i could carry on coping with just the tens machine. Next thing I know, im screaming and pushing. Midwife grabbed a wheelchair to take me to the delivery suite. The head was already crowing before I made it the room. When my husband arrived, the head was already born, he nearly missed it. Im so glad she's here now and it's all over!

Emmy2020b · 18/09/2020 06:40

Congratulations @Chanel05 @Lilice on your baby girls! 😊
Were you not in hospital long Lilice?

sianyflewog · 18/09/2020 07:00

Wow @Lilice - it’s infuriating that they don’t listen to mum’s, especially when you’ve done it before and know what to expect! Congratulations, lots of baby girls this week 💗

LatteLover12 · 18/09/2020 07:40

Congratulations @Chanel05 and @Lilice 💕

I made it home yesterday too. I'm in so much pain though 😩

My legs and feet are even more swollen than they were and the skin is very tight. My section wound was closed with staples and obviously hurts a lot! But the real pain is the trapped wind pain, from under my ribs to my shoulder tip and all down my arm hurts. Going to the toilet leaves me breathless and shaking and I need help just to stand up.

This is not what I expected at all. The midwife will visit today so I'll run through it all with her. I just want to be able to enjoy these first few days.

Sara7455 · 18/09/2020 07:49

Congrats @Chanel05 and @Lilice on your baby girls! Such dramatic arrivals in different ways. How lovely they’re here now.

@sianyflewog fed is absolutely best - quite a few of us mamas expressing for our babies now. I definitely feel like I’m doing better for switching to combo feeding and expressing and Wren certainly appears to be. I still get waves of guilt though, I don’t think it helps that midwives are trained to really push breastfeeding as the only choice and it’s everywhere on social media with adverts saying it isn’t easy and almost accusing you of “giving up” if you stop rather than acknowledging that many are making the best choice for their babies this way.

MostlyAmbridgeandcoffee · 18/09/2020 08:21

Huge congratulations everyone !!! Sounds like some have had a really tricky time (me
Also) - think it’s really good we have this group to express if things are feeling difficult as they will be for everyone - especially while it’s so hard to get out and about and meet other mums.

OrDis · 18/09/2020 08:58

Congratulations @Chanel05 and @Lilice!

@flameprincess i’m really with you on the movements. The closer I get the end the more I seem to be worrying about them, even though I have plenty. I woke up at 5am this morning and couldnt feel her at all and spend about an hour freaking out trying to get her to move! She did eventually and she’s moving fine now but I don’t know why i was so worried because I have no idea if she’s normally moving at 5am because i’m normally fast asleep!!!

Lilice · 18/09/2020 09:24

@Emmy2020b i was in and out the same day, didn't feel like staying overnight.
I know @sianyflewog i wasn't happy they wouldn't let my husband come, i knew i was in active labour but had to do it all on my own and because they wouldn't transfer me to the delivery suite, i couldnt even have any gas and air! So basically i laboured on my own with a tens machine 🥴😖 never again! Im so grateful the second stage happened so quickly because i couldn't see how I was ever gonna get through it. So glad it's all over, im never giving birth again 😑

Lilice · 18/09/2020 09:26

@LatteLover12 i hope you feel better soon and that you get all the help you can at home. Have you got compression socks for the swelling?
