Glad you're feeling better @Smilymami, the first few weeks can be such a rollercoaster of emotions.

LatteLover12 · 16/09/2020 13:34

Not until tomorrow. We have to wait till the morning to see if I'm allowed home so it will either be a one hour visiting slot if I'm staying in or wait until the afternoon when it's time to collect me.

Baby is currently snoozing in the little crib while I read a magazine and drink tea. 🥰

Emmy2020b · 16/09/2020 13:42

Congratulations @LatteLover12 😊
@Lilice Yeah as far as I know it’ll be in my due date.
Currently sat in hospital, finding it hard to breathe in this mask! 😷

glasha87 · 16/09/2020 14:07

I really must catch up on what has happened over the last few days but congratulations @LatteLover12 💙 💙💙
Currently lying beside 5 day old Líadain (lee-ah-dan), who arrived at little earlier than anticipated via emergency c-section as cerclage was still in place. I wasn’t experiencing a slow leak as I thought on Friday morning but rather what I thought were BH were contractions.
I went to get my hair cut, bought a smoothie and a lovely plant 😂 - while in labour!
She was born at 39+1 and weighed 8lbs 1oz
I lost 2 litres of blood which I could really do with having back now. The exhaustion is ever present, boobs are very sore but everything is manageable as she’s such a wonder.

Will catch up with what’s been happening shortly. Very exciting times 💕

glasha87 · 16/09/2020 14:09

Congratulations @sianyflewog 💕💕💕

HugeAgeGap · 16/09/2020 15:00

@Chanel05 that's exactly what I had, pinkish when I wiped and when waters broke the pains were just like period cramps, front and lower back, not gonna be long now!! xx

HugeAgeGap · 16/09/2020 15:01

@sianyflewog congratulations 🥳

HugeAgeGap · 16/09/2020 15:02

@LatteLover12 congratulations 🥳

MooseWL · 16/09/2020 15:04

So much going on ❤️ congratulations @sianyflewog @glasha87 @lattelover12

@lattelover12 love that you're chilling with a magazine!

@flameprincess stressing about movement is a full time job isn't it! If you're worried I'd go back and asked to be checked out it's something my midwife keeps saying don't wait if you're concerned. Did they say why they weren't worried about it?

@emmy2020b I had such a terrible sleep last night but I can't seem to lie in past 7am!

We went out for tapas today as had to travel into the office to take my chair/monitor back so thought may as well. It was so nice being out. I was so jealous of everyone else in the restaurant with their lunch time wine though 🤣

Emmy2020b · 16/09/2020 15:16

@MooseWL Ooh yummy tapas! Yeah I’m the same but then tired by 10am.
@glasha87 congratulations!

Chanel05 · 16/09/2020 15:25

Congratulations @LatteLover12 so sorry that DH had to go :(.

My contractions are getting more regular now and I've lost my plug so I think baby Chanel could be arriving tomorrow. I will post the updated roll call below and then leave it here for now - see you on the other side!

Congrats ladies! @glasha87 @LatteLover12 @sianyflewog the thread is moving so fast now with all these lovely babies arriving!

OrDis · 16/09/2020 16:12

For some reason today I thought it would be good to watch a movie to pass some time. Decided to watch togo which is an ‘uplifting’ movie about a man and his sled dog.... queue 20 minute hormonal sob-fest at the end 🤣🤣. Don’t know why I thought a movie about a dog was a good idea in my current state 🤣

WillowT · 16/09/2020 17:30

Wow, there is a lot going on!! Congrats to everyone who have had their littles ones and good luck to those who are imminent!!

So exciting!

Lorna198 · 16/09/2020 19:16

@Smilymami glad you are feeling better mate.
congratulations @LatteLover12 And @glasha87 Enjoy cuddles!

Roxy8203 · 16/09/2020 20:36

Can't keep up with the thread but Congratulations to everyone who has had their babies.

flameprincess · 16/09/2020 20:43

@MooseWL I rang them around 5pm today when my DP was home to say I was still getting reduced movement and they were adamant that as the scan was fine yesterday I should leave it another 24 hours. I've just been prodding my stomach all day and now and again he moves but it's half arsed nowhere near the normal activity I'm so frustrated the hospital aren't listening to me. I'm going to call again tomorrow if no more movement tonight (he's most active around 1am) and demand they see me.

CookieBlue · 16/09/2020 22:52

Hi all. My little girl was born this afternoon weighing 7lb 11. We ended up being last on the c section list so was a very long, anxious wait but she’s here now and she’s perfect. My partner was allowed to stay till 8pm luckily and is allowed back in the morning from 9am. Just the night to get through alone!! Very sore from the c section but she’s so worth it! Congratulations @LatteLover12 hope you’re both doing ok x

Piper1879 · 16/09/2020 23:00

Hey all can't keep up with thread ! Congrats to all the ladies who've had their babies !! So happy for everyone !!

Anyone have any good colic relief tips ? Currently struggling most nights with Kairo and his upset tummy 😔

liquoricecravings · 17/09/2020 01:30

My little girl Charlotte arrived on Monday 14th. She weighed 8lb 6oz. It was a long labour and it ended with forceps because of how her head was positioned. I'm still in a bit of shock from the rush down to the labour ward from the calm birthing pool and the baby blues have definitely started hitting me today. Bf is going well and we were allowed to go home after one night and a day in the hospital. My husband wasn't allowed in at all after the birth, even when he collected us he had to wait outside. I'm so pleased to be home and he's looking after me so well.

Congratulations to those that have had their babies in the last few days x

emma278 · 17/09/2020 03:35

Hi all so sorry for delayed update its been s long few days.

Our gorgeous baby girl Charlotte Olivia arrived Sunday 13/9 at 3.29pm weghiing 7lbs7

I got induced friday eve due to high blood pressure. Started with a balloon cather to open cervix, waited twelve hours failed. Pessary in. 6 hours later in labour on ward by myself. Pain excruciating but they kept ignoring me, eventually got some gas didnt touch the sides again ignoring me, then eventually pethadine, still on my own, still not touching the sides so i decided to scream the hospital down, eventually they moved me to labour ward and let DH come, turns out the balloon had moved baby back to back hence the awful pain and i was 9cm, they wanted me to have an epidural so slowed the contractions to allow for that and inwent back to 4cm but after the epidural i didnt care!!! Then finally came time to push and needed forceps, then it all got dramatic, Charlotte shot out and i lost 2.75lts of blood in process, they managed to control the bleeding and calm everything then i finally got my cuddle and suddenly i feltnfreezing and started shaking, id Picked up sepsis and my body started to shut down and all i rememver is hearing all the people working on me and being in a daze and having tubes shoved into collapsed veins and arteries. Luckily they jumped on it super quick and i was given a blood tranfusion and antibiotics and stablised. Spent the night in hdu then moved to normal ward 24 hours later. Home now but i just feel in pieces. Im pyhsically shot, im weak as anything and trying to feed Charlotte, i dread when she cries as its feeding time again and i just feel so awful. She is completely worth it but i just want to feel human again. Stiches still very sore but trying to make myself more mobile each day xx

Lorna198 · 17/09/2020 03:47

Congratulations @liquoricecravings and @emma278. Be kind to yourselves. It sounds like you both had a bad time. Try not to put pressure on yourselves and let your other halves and families look after you. Enjoy your time and cuddles with both of your Charlottes 💖💖

Lilice · 17/09/2020 04:16

Congrats @glasha87 @emma278 @liquoricecravings @CookieBlue 🥰

I woke up to my waters breaking eeeeek!!!! Im going to wait a couple of hours and then head in, im excited and scared at the same time 😬 😶

Emmy2020b · 17/09/2020 05:56

@liquoricecravings congratulations! 😊😊💕
@emma278 Congratulations too! You poor thing, that sounds awful, my first baby was like like that, forceps, back to back & then me knowing I was passing out while they tried to keep me awake then getting rushed to theatre (I had a tear & lost a lot of blood) then blood transfusion after that. So know what it’s like, sorry you had an experience like that 😟 Second baby was straight Forward & 45mins do doesn’t mean it’ll happen again. Can’t believe you couldn’t have your husband there, these are stupid rules at the moment aren’t they.😠 Both of you take it easy and look after yourselves 🤗
Eekk @Lilice Good luck!!
I had a achy tummy on and off last night & baby went in a funny position, laid on my back & my tummy was like a cone shape! 😯 But she went back to normal position! I thought something might be happening, but actually ended up having a good sleep. Hospital today for scan!
