Congratulations on your little girl @sianyflewog ,🌺

Margo34 · 15/09/2020 23:52

Congrats @sianyflewog!

I'm so ready for my baby to arrive and not keep me waiting another 2 weeks ish.
What was everyone's first sign of impending labour?! I feel really rough today but I've probably exhausted myself by doing too much. Gahhhh!

flameprincess · 15/09/2020 23:57

Had to go for another scan today as blood pressure was high last week and they weren't totally happy with growth. Growth ok but blood pressure even higher (140/100) and I had protein in my urine. My section is already booked for the 22nd and consultant decided it's not necessary to bring forward but sent me home with a prescription for blood pressure meds. I don't know what to think really I would rather them have bought the date forward as I'm 38 weeks now rather than put me on medication but I have to assume they know best. Very on edge and stressed at the moment. Had reduced movement the past couple of days too and told them but they didn't see it as cause for concern Confused

Just need to get through the next 7 days I can't wait for my boy to just be here and safe the anxiety is overwhelming Sad

CNovittBolden · 16/09/2020 03:59

My cramps (after 3 days) finally have turned into labour!!!

It's been so painful non-stop and finally they've turned to contractions!!! Can't wait to finally meet my little boy 💙

LatteLover12 · 16/09/2020 04:04

Ooh good luck @CNovittBolden how exciting!

I've been awake since 2.30 for no particular reason!

Are you staying at home for a bit or heading in?

CNovittBolden · 16/09/2020 04:18

@LatteLover12 I called when my contractions were less than 3 mins apart and they told me to go into triage - but was only 1cm dilated.

I begged to stay and have drugs but my husband now isn't allowed in until I go into active labour 😭 I'm sad and alone and in pain... but at least I've had some drugs!

How is all with you and bump??

LatteLover12 · 16/09/2020 04:22

Pleased you've got some drugs! Fingers crossed your DH can join you soon.

Me and bump are good. Less than 3 hours till I need to be at the hospital myself. Still don't quite believe this is real to be honest! I'm nil by mouth now too so can't even go and make myself a cup of tea!

ShiningStarz · 16/09/2020 04:52

Congrats @sianyflewog 💕

ChipsAreLife · 16/09/2020 08:11

Good luck @CookieBlue and @LatteLover12 hope all goes well. And to you @CNovittBolden

@sianyflewog congratulations!!! Hope you're feeling well and I bet you can't wait for big brother to meet his sister!

@flameprincess that does sound stressful. Just go in to MAU with reduced movements. My one was amazing and really encouraged you to go in.

Re expressing. Checked with midwife and you don't have to sterilise the bottles or pump for breast milk

OrDis · 16/09/2020 08:18

Awww huge congrats @sianyflewog!

Emmy2020b · 16/09/2020 09:24

@CNovittBolden Good luck today! It’s awful your husband can’t be with you yet, I don’t understand the reasoning behind that at all, you live with him and as long as he doesn’t have symptoms I don’t see the issue. I asked at my hospital and they said my husband wouldn’t be allowed in until I was in active labour but if I had an induction he’d be allowed to stay the whole time! I don’t get that at all! As long as he wears a mask and stays in the one room then don’t see the difference.
Anyway hope you’re ok!

Emmy2020b · 16/09/2020 09:27

I was awake nearly every hour last night just so tired but sat up in bed and couldn’t sleep and saw every hour, wishing it was time to get up!! But when my alarm went off I’d realised I had eventually fallen asleep and didn’t want to get up, typical!

Lilice · 16/09/2020 10:15

Good luck @CNovittBolden hope it goes well and that your husband can join you soon.
@flameprincess aww sounds stressful, hopefully the days will fly by until the 22nd. I also stress out about reduced movement and wish baby was out so to stop worrying.
@Emmy2020b im sleeping terribly too, im totally prepared for the sleepless nights to come 🥴. Are you able to rest during the day at least?

flameprincess · 16/09/2020 10:29

Sounds like a lot of us are struggling with sleep. I've been up since 3am the heat was just suffocating last night. Have done about 4 rounds of laundry and cleaning the oven I think I'm officially 'nesting'.

Poor DS had a meltdown this morning too he's really not settling into secondary school with all the restrictions. Had a bit of a cry. He's finding it hard them all being segregated into classes and he only has one friend in his class from primary, all the others are in different classes and they aren't allowed to mix - his one friend keeps having days off school and he isn't making other friends at all so feels totally alone. I wish I knew how to help him Sad So I'm worrying about my big baby as much as my little one!

Congrats on your arrival @sianyflewog another one of us ticked off the list!

Chanel05 · 16/09/2020 11:09

@sianyflewog many congratulations!

Good luck @CookieBlue @CNovittBolden @LatteLover12 !

Soo ladies... 40+1 and I've been having what felt like period pains on and off but not consistent since half 6 this morning. Just had red and pink blood on the tissue when I went to the toilet, could this be the start?!

Emmy2020b · 16/09/2020 11:48

@Lilice Yeah luckily can have a sleep once my girls are at school so had a nap this morning so I guess at least I am getting some sleep at some point! Feel I can sleep better in the day when I haven’t got heartburn like I have at night!

Emmy2020b · 16/09/2020 11:49

Midwife app this afternoon then tomorrow morning I have a scan and consultation and they’re booking in my induction. Due 1 week today!

Emmy2020b · 16/09/2020 11:50

@Chanel05 Ooh it does sound like it!

LatteLover12 · 16/09/2020 12:53

Hello!

Baby boy born this morning weighing in at 9lb 6oz - screamed the place down as soon as he was out but has had a good feed and is now peacefully napping on Daddy.

👶🏼💙

Smilymami · 16/09/2020 12:58

Thank you ladies for your kind words.. my mum can't come as she is overseas and there are flying restrictions in the country she is. I'm coping better now in the second week, I feel better mood wise and DH is pampering me now Smile 🙂. Having a newborn/being FTM is such a huge shift from my previous life, I embrace it and I feel very blessed.
Goodluck @LatteLover12 @CNovittBolden and everyone else about to give birth.. look forward to the lovely cuddles with your little ones. I wish everyone a safe delivery.

OrDis · 16/09/2020 12:59

LatteLover12 · 16/09/2020 13:18

DP has just been told it's time to go 😢

Lilice · 16/09/2020 13:29

Congratulations @LatteLover12 on your baby boy 💙 enjoy the cuddles! When will your Dad be allowed to come back?
@Margo34 each time my first sign of impending labour was my waters breaking, then a sore lower back.
@Chanel05 sounds like it, how exciting! 🤞 contractions kick in pronto
@Emmy2020b im the same, i catch up on sleep while the kids aee at school. Are they booking your induction on your due date?

Lilice · 16/09/2020 13:30
