Good luck all playing the waiting game!

I really thought everything had kicked off last night... just after putting dd to bed got some cramps, stronger and more regular than I’ve had so far. Also earlier in the day i had had another bout of diarrhoea (nice) and then after about an hour of these stronger tightening I violently threw up. Bounced on my ball and tried to sip water etc but by bedtime it had all tailed off Sad

At least I had a good sleep, apart from the last two hours on DD’s floor Confused

Hoping it may still mean labour is near?! 39+1 today and very ready. Come on baby I want to meet you!

Rinoa · 15/06/2020 06:23

@Magpiefeather all sounds like promising symptoms! Hope you have a speedy labour!

Gigitree · 15/06/2020 06:48

Good luck @chocolate26 and @Missgemini!
Sounds like things are kicking off @FTEngineerM and @Magpiefeather!

Think I might be having the very early start of something too. After my ‘trickles’ yesterday, I noticed at about 10pm something very light pink when I wiped. Spoke to triage who said it’s likely my mucus plug rather than my waters. Then last night and this morning I’ve been having very irregular contractions. Or what I assume are contractions because it’s like this squeezing feeling in the same area where I get period pains, but it’s intense for about 60 seconds and then goes away.
Trying not to get too excited in case it trails off to nothing!

38+5

Pegase · 15/06/2020 06:56

Haha I'm having the same too- some fluid and now pink when wipe and a seriously messed up digestive system last night! My triage have told me to go in because I'm supposed to be having a C section Wednesday so they'll have to bring it forward if anything is happening.

Typical- would have given anything to have labour start early when I was having a VB with my first born but she came at 41+ 2!

Gigitree · 15/06/2020 06:59

@Pegase oh wow Snap! 😂😂 good luck at triage, hope you get on ok! Would be interested to hear what they say given that we’re having similar experiences.

Babies really do come when THEY are ready don’t they? not when we are 😂😂

Babymaher · 15/06/2020 09:24

@Magpiefeather I’ve had this increasingly getting worse the past 3 nights and still no baby! I really hope it’s the start for you 🤞🏻

Magpiefeather · 15/06/2020 09:33

Ahh @babymaher I’ve a feeling I’ll be the same!

Hopefully tonight is the night for you!!

Zoey92 · 15/06/2020 09:38

Still here.
I had a show yesterday & saturday.
Pains last night & quite alot of pressure over last 2days, really thought sweep would have spurred her on a little bit since MW told me i was already 2cm

Pegase · 15/06/2020 10:37

@Gigitree am in MAU- just about to have examination and my waters just went all over the floor as I stood up! Now the drama of whether I can have the C section I think - terrifying!

SearchingTheSkies · 15/06/2020 10:56

Ooh good luck @Pegase - you're in the best place for them to decide what to do.

@Gigitree sounds like things are definitely getting started for you! So exciting!

I've now drawn a blank at who else was getting labour symptoms, so apologies for not name checking, but so excited for you all 😂.

I'm 38+3 and absolutely nothing happening.

Babymaher · 15/06/2020 11:01

Oh wow @Pegase sounds like something from a movie. Good luck and keep us posted. @Magpiefeather hopefully we have babies soon. @Zoey92 when’s you’re next sweep ? That might get baby moving. Sounds like all positive signs tho with the shows, pain and pressure Smile

Seventytwoseventythree · 15/06/2020 11:23

Good luck @Pegase!

I’ve just had a trickle of something run out of me (I would say sorry TMI but I think maybe we’re past that...?) clear fluid, no smell, don’t think it’s urine but I have had a lot of watery discharge in the third trimester. It seems like more than that though. Only a couple of spoonfuls total. Otherwise feel fine. Baby is due. I put on a pad and have waited but nothing else in last 30 min. Does anyone know if waters can go gradually like that? Intermittent leak? Not sure if it would be a continuous dribble? I know you don’t usually get a movie moment like @Pegase!

Pegase · 15/06/2020 11:44

Lol yes it was rather dramatic. Have had a telling off for not going in earlier when I felt the first trickle! Confused

Gigitree · 15/06/2020 11:48

Oh wow @Pegase was that after the examination your waters went? How exciting though!! Your baby will be here SO soon ♥️♥️

Wow @Babymaher @magpiefeather and @Zoey92 sounds like it’s all starting to get moving for us all! How exciting ♥️♥️

Thank you @SearchingTheSkies ♥️♥️

The contractions are very sporadic, I’ve had about 3 since 9am so I think I’m in for a slow build. Still getting bloody/pink discharge though so things are clearly happening.

You never know things might start for you soon, but totally normal if they don’t as baby could come up until 42 weeks technically! This is what I kept telling myself as I felt guilty almost for rushing baby, when she’s is well within her rights to camp out until 42 weeks 😂😂

Gigitree · 15/06/2020 11:53

@Seventytwoseventythree sounds a bit like what I was having yesterday. As I understand it, your waters can kind of trickle out yes. Might be worth just ringing your triage/assessment unit and seeing what they say.

Zoey92 · 15/06/2020 12:08

@Babymaher will more than likely be at my next app which will be 40+3

MW said my cervix was very soft an mushy😂 very favourable & also was able to touch little ones head & as i say already 2cm before my sweep....she's obviously being stubborn like her mam 😂 I'm 39+1

I've been on the ball, been for walks & had warm baths, did attempt sex 😂 which actually was when i had my 1st show on Saturday.
I'm going to have a waddle around morrisons with my sister as partner is back at work & do shopping I'm determined 😂

Seventytwoseventythree · 15/06/2020 13:11

@Gigitree thanks I spoke to them, they weren’t that helpful, she said “do you think it was your waters?” I was like that’s why I’m calling you! Got to lie down with a pad on and see what happens

Gigitree · 15/06/2020 13:16

Oh @seventytwoseventythree I’m sorry to hear that, that’s really not what you want. Of course it’s going to be hard for them to tell over the phone but they could at least ask you some questions/provide some advice 🙄

When I rang last night they seemed to think it was more likely my mucus plug/bloody
Show coming away slowly as it wasn’t soaking through a pad and was pink at times.

Keep us posted as to how you get on!

BirdGarden · 15/06/2020 13:20

Pleased to say Baby BirdGarden arrived just shy of 5am this morning. After 5 hours leading to nothing on Saturday night it started again on Sunday evening and built up very quickly. Then spent hours in transition, fully dilated, but waters wouldn't break! I've previously had PROM so this seemed mad to me. Had them broken and it was the most relieving thing ever. Baby arrived in 6 pushes with tens machine and shouting, a surprising 8lb 1oz girl! She is feeding like a demon.

Unfortunately third degree tear needing patching up so ambulance transfer to next county but I couldn't give a flying monkeys to be honest, she is here. Did it without a birth partner and survived - anyone else in that position, you are stronger than you know. Now waiting to be able to introduce hubby to his second daughter.

FTEngineerM · 15/06/2020 13:45

Goodness! Congratulations @BirdGarden that sounds like you’ve had an eventful few days. All worth it now you’re holding your baby girl.

I’ve been contracting since 11pm last night, they eased off For an hour after a poo (soz tmi) But now back with vengeance and it’s wrapping around my back. Think we’ll take a trip to Hospital soon🤞🏽 Fingers crossed

SearchingTheSkies · 15/06/2020 14:38

@BirdGarden Congratulations!!! So glad your little one arrived safely! Hope you're being well looked after as you recover.

@FTEngineerM ooh good luck!! Sounds like your baby will be here soon!!

Seventytwoseventythree · 15/06/2020 15:39

Thanks for the support @Gigitree - I called back after wearing a pad for a while as requested and spoke to someone else who was much nicer. Said to monitor over the next 24 hours.

Gigitree · 15/06/2020 15:55

Oh wow @BirdGarden congratulations! ♥️♥️
So glad that your little one is here safely and feeding well! Sounds like you are on cloud 9 despite the mad dash to sort out the tear!

Good luck @FTEngineerM sounds like baby will be here soon! 🤞🏻♥️

@SearchingTheSkies no worries at all! I was in a similar position yesterday! ♥️ How is it now?

Gigitree · 15/06/2020 15:55

Oops sorry hit the wrong “s”’when tagging - above is meant to be for @Seventytwoseventythree

APD1981 · 15/06/2020 17:18
