@Kez437 I have a post birth meal of brie, Parma ham and coca cola waiting for me in the fridge. Been eyeing it up daily and cant wait for baby to arrive so can eat it all up! Also being able to paint my toenails and wear Jean's again- bought no maternity clothes so been living in joggers and tent dresses...

Pegase · 07/06/2020 14:49

Sex without having to work around the bump

Rolling over in bed

Brie and Camembert

Raw fish sushi without worrying if it has been frozen

Alcohol

Treats as like @Blizy I have GD

Not needing a wee every three seconds

Being able to start proper exercise again- running and horse riding. Will take quite a while for those though.

Millettmum · 07/06/2020 14:49

I have GD as well so not having to prick my fingers several times a day will be good.
I agree with the glass of wine.
To eventually turn in bed with no pain.

BirdGarden · 07/06/2020 14:57

I just want to sleep on my front. Or my back. Preferably front. Yes let's go front.

One of my main cravings has been alcoholic so I'm looking forward to having a long enough break in the feeding schedule to be able to indulge it. I've put it on a shopping order for the end of the month so it's on standby for the second I think I may have a few hours off 😂

Smiffette · 07/06/2020 15:19

Not worrying about what food I can/can't eat

Sleeping on my back 🙏🏻

Being able to give myself a pedicure

Running 🏃🏼‍♀️ when I'm recovered - seriously missed working out

Sex in different positions that don't involve working around the old bump!

A nice cold glass of white Wine!!!!

And of course cuddling my new little baby girl 💕💕💕

chocolate26 · 07/06/2020 15:37

Sleeping on my front/back

Eating Camembert 😋

Being intimate with DH without feeling huge and uncomfortable!

Getting back into my power yoga once healed

My DH use to bundle me on the sofa and bed but since being pregnant he hasn't incase he hurts me or baby so I'm looking forward to that 😂

Being able to get in my car properly rather than just falling in like a mess 🙄

NakeliP · 07/06/2020 15:51

Mostly food and drink for me:

All of the cheese and alcohol and pate.

Steak or other beef not well done.

More seafood and shellfish and sushi.

Getting back to Pilates and my boxing and circuits classes.

NakeliP · 07/06/2020 15:56

Two quick questions:

Rather than traditional cleaning as a sign of nesting, is anyone else baking? I love cooking but usually don't love the preciseness of baking. But as I hate proper cleaning I've made cheese muffins and oaty biscuits this weekend!

Second, has anyone else noticed very reduced/muffled movements in the late stages? I know you should ring midwife/bleep line of worried at all, but I don't think I'm worried enough yet. I assume because baby is fully engaged and still growing it just has no space. I feel occasional subtle stretching now but before about two days ago it was quite pronounced.

Zoey92 · 07/06/2020 16:06

Getting back out for long walks with the dog.
Prawns i used to eat loads!
Egg & lots of it 😂
Upping my coffee intake, iced lattes are my go to.
I do miss the gym too but i know be a while before i get back there.
Sex, poor partners neglected 😂
Sleeping back on my right side.

I've actually not missed alcohol as much as i thought i would, but a nice glass off bubbles or gin will be enjoyed!

chocolate26 · 07/06/2020 16:12

@Zoey92 prawns and egg? Are we not supposed to eat those? I've been eating them the whole way through 😫

chocolate26 · 07/06/2020 16:15

@NakeliP my baby's movements have changed recently, he/she is engaged and has been laying in the same position for a few weeks now so I feel the same movements in the same places rather than all over the place! He/she still moves a lot with the normal routine but they do feel different now. Please go and get checked if your not feeling much though! It's probably nothing to worry about but better to get checked 😊

Gigitree · 07/06/2020 16:16

@chocolate26 no idea about prawns (would assume ok so long as they were previously frozen or cooked?

Eggs are safe so long as they are either the lion stamped ones, or if in doubt hard boiled.

MissisBee · 07/06/2020 16:31

Great idea @Kez437
I was just thinking in bed last night about being able to sleep on my front or my back. I remember the first time lying on my front after DS, even with a recent c/section wound, it was so comfy.
Being able to rejoin DH and DS on walks, be able to get on the floor easily to play with DS.

Food/drink wise there's not much I eat from the "banned" list anyway, apart from rare steak. But I only tend to eat that out, rather than cook at home, so can't do that anyway!

Cornishbumpkin · 07/06/2020 16:34

Definitely looking forward to being able to roll over in bed without it being an entire workout!

@NakeliP I definitely noticed a difference in movements over the last couple of days, same frequency but much more subtle compared to the internal beatings/ cartwheels.

Kez437 · 07/06/2020 16:43

Oh I had forgotten about pate and Parma ham somehow, I think I'll buy some and leave in the fridge ready for when I can eat them 😁
I'm also quite looking forward to know what is going on with my body lol I know it is doing something incredible growing a little person but as this is my first time pregnant and I am now overdue I spend half my time wondering if everything I feel is 'normal' or a sign of labour 🤔 it's really quite time consuming 😂

Magpie21 · 07/06/2020 16:45

Great question....

~ Hot bubble bath
~ Cuddles with husband in bed (I have one of those human size maternity pillows!)
~ Not sleeping on my side!

~ Tinting my eyebrows :) Random one I know! I have the blondest eyebrows
~ Less wee trips!

peetieswie · 07/06/2020 17:15

Bless husband, he's been tidying and cooking all day. I can't do much anymore as I'm huge and it's so uncomfortable but I'm getting so bored. I do have another week of work next week but today I'm feeling so useless and bored. I made a quilt last week and that kept me busy but we've put all the sewing stuff away now. I have googled things to do when heavily pregnant and it makes it worse as it says things like get a massage, get your hair done, meet friends for lunch. If only!! There's not even good TV to watch as they can't make anything new in lockdown. 😕 Anyone got any good ideas other than TV and books?

Zoey92 · 07/06/2020 17:17

@chocolate26 ive just been abit fussy with them, obv with prawns you have to make sure the yakky bit is out the back 😂 & with eggs i used to eat more than they recommend when pregnant so obviously cut back i miss them 😂

AndddddHerewegoagain · 07/06/2020 17:27

@Blizy I'll join you with that. Only just been able to crack my easter egg open!!

I have also Eaten
a whole pot of pate
A triangle of brie
The rarest steak ever

Still need to get some mussels. Feel like the very hungry Caterpillar with that list 😂

Seventytwoseventythree · 07/06/2020 17:35

You know, I never normally eat pate much but now I really want some on some warm toast 😋 I could murder a really cold margarita with lots of salt too.

Rinoa · 07/06/2020 18:05

Ooh pate and Camembert sound amazing right now. Along with red wine mmmmm I also very much miss sashimi !

BirdGarden · 07/06/2020 18:09

@peetieswie - I've done the cooking and cleaning and baking as DH isn't quite as domesticated! I also cut his hair today as it was getting ridiculous (not a normal thing to do heavily pregnant but needed doing). For more relaxing things what about some colouring? I finished work at 2130 on Friday and have lined up colouring in for the evenings when I used to catch up on work. Could you sit and bake? I made loads of bread products hoping the kneading would get some contractions going (not a damn thing). Soak in the bath? Make a homemade hair or face mask? I could happily have 6 baths a day if I had the time (i.e. no cat no toddler!).

I was looking forward to pregnancy massages and a "last haircut" too 😒

Gigitree · 07/06/2020 18:18

@peetieswie I know the feeling, I feel so useless at the moment because my SPD has flared up so badly I can hardly do anything.
I’ve been finally finishing our wedding scrap book I started about 3 years ago 😂 and I started a baby scrap book with our scan pictures

Gigitree · 07/06/2020 18:19

@Seventytwoseventythree yes an ice cold
strong salty margarita 😋😋😋
