Good luck @Babybird20 you will meet your beautiful baby soon I am so excited for you!

@Rinoa here's to hoping things progress today - it's still early Grin

LillianFullStop · 07/06/2020 08:55

We've had mostly boys in the thread so far! Even the team yellows have been boys!

@Andddddherewegoagain let's see if we have some girls to join your DD this week Grin

Gigitree · 07/06/2020 09:37

@LillianFullStop totally happy to end the boy streak this week if I can! 😂😂
37+4 and my SPD is killing me today! Just want to be able to roll over in bed or get up without being in agony!

Rinoa · 07/06/2020 09:37

These pains are no joke! Very irregular though, 5, 10, 15, 3 min apart. God give me strength!

BirdGarden · 07/06/2020 09:50

Good luck @rinoa and @BabyBird20!

Sounds like things are moving along very swiftly rinoa!

Gigitree · 07/06/2020 09:51

Certainly sounds like things are in motion @Rinoa - good luck!

Smiffette · 07/06/2020 09:57

I'd love to end the boy streak with the arrival of my little girl this week!
I've ramped up on doing things now to get her out as I'm 40 weeks tomorrow! been doing a 30 minute aerobic walk you tube video this morning which also had lots of bouncing!! I've told my DH sex is on the cards every day until she comes 🙈 no complaints from him! 😂
I'm avoiding spicy food though, which I do love, but I am super paranoid we will have a super spicy curry then she will come the next day and I'll have a dodgy tummy 😳 so I don't want to put myself in that position! That could get messy!
Just want to do as much as possible to avoid sweep or induction!
Good luck to everyone who is due this next week or two!! I'm so excited for everyone's announcements

Missgemini · 07/06/2020 10:00

@Rinoa sounds promising! Very excited for you :)

Magpie21 · 07/06/2020 10:01

@Rinoa sending you good wishes! Very exciting! xx

Gigitree · 07/06/2020 10:24

@Smiffette I’m with you there on the spicy curry! I worry that I will either stink the place out if I go into labour shortly after or just spend the night with horrific indigestion and nothing happens 😂

I told DH we need to have sex more often to get things going and funnily enough he is very supportive of this 😂😂

I really want to be more physically active, doing aerobics or going for long walks but with my SPD flaring up so badly I just can’t face it. Trying to bounce on my ball as and when I can but that aggravates my SPD too!

Smiffette · 07/06/2020 10:32

@Gigitree ah yeah I do feel for people suffering with SPD... I've been fairly lucky with no suffering too much. Just had horrible heartburn all the way through.

BirdGarden · 07/06/2020 10:50

@smiffette and @Gigitree same here, 40+1 today and only off work until 29 June - and I can't face any intervention or being fiddled with 🙈 I am almost drowning myself in Clary sage oil now. Hate pineapple and it gives me heartburn at the best of times so that's a no-go. I've found my spd is worse for sitting on the ball now too, used to be better for it. Still trying to stay active as possible and use the gym but every so often it just pings and that's me done for! I adore spicy food thankfully 😍 need to try daily sex I think but it does inflame SPD - caught between a rock and a hard place 😂 little one seems very well put, not even sure they're engaged today sigh

chocolate26 · 07/06/2020 10:57

@Rinoa good luck! It sounds promising 😃

Zoey92 · 07/06/2020 11:57

38weeks today.
Spd killing me, daggers have really ramped up, sturggling to walk as she feel so low & cannot get comfy.
Sorry to whinge ladies, the last 2weeks i feel like ive been hit by this pregnancy ive managed well till then 😂

Good luck to everyone whos having movement or inductions 💙💖

BabyBird20 · 07/06/2020 12:01

Thanks for all the well wishes ladies! Had a call this morning to say they were full at the moment due to overnight emergencies so now on the waiting list for later on today, this evening! She even said they might do it overnight tonight as they don't want to leave it too long due to his reduced blood flow! Having an unexpected bonus day of chilling and trying to speed things up myself! Husband thought he'd won the lottery when I instigated sex today!! 😂😂 Lots of ball bouncing and walks too. Lost my mucus plug yesterday after the internal I had so hoping that means things are gearing up! 🤞🏻🤞🏻 💙💙

Smiffette · 07/06/2020 12:23

@BirdGarden oh wow you're not having too long off at all then! Is that by choice?
I'm always interested in how long people choose to have off.
I love my job and can't wait to get back to work, but will be taking advantage of having. A year off!

Girlinajumpsuit · 07/06/2020 13:03

Good luck for your induction @BabyBird20! Hopefully the mucus plug is a promising sign that things will be smooth for you. I lost mine yesterday and still hoping that things may get going and can avoid the need for induction. Whatever happens now, you know your little one will be with you soon!

And good luck @Rinoa sounds like things are getting VERY exciting!

BirdGarden · 07/06/2020 13:28

@Smiffette - partly choice, partly circumstances! I work flexible hours from home so will still be able to EBF on demand (hopefully, DD only just finished!) and DH gets a good, long, paternity package. Not many good jobs out there for military wives that give the flexibility you need so I need to hold onto this one; and it'll be so nice not only having hubby in the country but home looking after the little people and not missing out on key milestones! I think there will be a lot of sling and boob time at the laptop the first few months. But the law says we must have 2 weeks postpartum leave, regardless of your job, so if I go over a week late we need to rearrange alllll the admin 🙈 not sure what's more painful, going overdue or all the paperwork that'll follow! 😂

I had planned to take a proper career break once DD arrived, until we'd had two kids and they'd self-weaned. Didn't quite work out!

mrssunshinexxx · 07/06/2020 14:01

Anyone else suffering with thrush ? Or Hemorrhoids?! God it's glam 😫

Blizy · 07/06/2020 14:28

@mrssunshinexxx I'm suffering today with the old piles and varicose veins 😬

Kez437 · 07/06/2020 14:30

Hi all so as we are nearing the end of our pregnancies and most of not all of us are at the uncomfortable, can't wait to meet baby stage I thought it would be a fun, positive thing to mention some of the things we're looking forward to post pregnancy apart from all the baby snuggles of course 😁 I'll start
1: Wearing normal clothes (aware my post partam bod will be different but I can't wait to shop for normal, cute clothes even in bigger sizes!).
2: Being able to sleep on my front.
3: A glass of wine on a Friday night and a bucket of mussels 😍.
4: Being able to snuggle/be intimate with hubby without feeling like an unattractive whale 🐳
5: Being able to bend down/lift stuff/sit down and generally move without panicking about how I get upright or if I'll need to pee in the middle of it 🙈

Blizy · 07/06/2020 14:37

@Kez437 I'm adding food!
I'm looking forward to eating my mini eggs after birth, that and toast! GD means all treats have been banned!

Seventytwoseventythree · 07/06/2020 14:39

@Kez437 agree with all of yours, would also add being able to get out of the bath on my own 🐳🛀

Gigitree · 07/06/2020 14:44

@Kez437 I will add:

being able to roll over in bed/get in and out of bed with ease & grace 😂

Medium rare steak, chunky chips & a glass of red wine 🍷

Being able to reach my toes

Being able to wear non-sandal shoes

Busylizzie85 · 07/06/2020 14:44

@Kez437 agree with all of yours!

Sleeping any which way I like would be amazing!

Eating any type of cheese any way I like!

Being able to paint my toes and look after my poor neglected feet!

Wearing more summer clothes that don't look like I'm wearing a tent 😂

Having a bath is up on top of the list I'm fed up with showers!
