I can definitely join the rant club at everyone asking, mainly my in-laws. Brother and sister in law had their first baby on Christmas Eve, 5 days before his due date and here I am at due date having to put up with not so funny 'is baby still in quarantine?' questions, I feel like telling them to f**k off which is in no way reasonable 😂

This picture sums up where I'm at...

I'm am totally on the please leave me alone front right now, I have had messages everyday asking 'how you doing?' 'Any signs' 🙄 so fed up with saying no!

Baby has started hiccuping more last few days not sure why she goes through these random stages.
Going to ask for a sweep on Tuesday see if that starts anything.

@BirdGarden I really don't like the idea of a sweep so will put it off as long as possible! Although in a week's time I might be begging for one. I get so uncomfortable at night now, I dread going to bed.

I'm definitely in the grumpy club too. My OH has had to listen to me ranting all day about various different things. I really wish it was acceptable to tell people to fuck off 😂

chocolate26 · 06/06/2020 19:27

@Busylizzie85 mine still gets hiccups most days! Sometimes 3 times a day. I was worried at first but everyone I've spoken to have said it's a good sign 😊 I had it in mind that they stopped hiccuping past 32 weeks but apparently not.

SerBrienneOfHouseTarth · 06/06/2020 19:29

Thanks everyone for the messages. We got home yesterday and MW was here today. So far so good. I had planned to breastfeed for a couple of days for colostrum with some formula top ups, then switch to bottles only but the wee man has latched on like a pro so looks like we're combi feeding for now! Not putting any pressure on myself this time though and will just go with the flow as long as we are all happy.

@APD1981 aargh congratulations! Another speedy arrival! Xx

@BabyBird20 good luck for tomorrow, will be thinking of you x

@Kez437 I lost lots of clear, blood streaked mucus after the sweep which was basically the mucus plug/show. I had tons of the yellow stringy stuff before the sweep.

@newbyxx and @umabb what total cuties!

Missgemini · 06/06/2020 20:02

@5stringtele ahh you must be even more annoyed being 6 days overdue. We will get there soon!

@sarahlounich I'm quite jealous. We're due date buddies, but they will not offer me an induction until next week Sunday!
My body is so tired!! I just cannot go on any longer!
Just got a message from my father in law as I was typing this! Grrrrrrrr haha

MissisBee · 06/06/2020 20:30

I've also been getting lots of "how are you?" messages, and I'm still only 38+3! We've decided to only tell immediate family the section date (5 days to go!).
I've had a really sore hip all week, so hobbling lamely about the house, struggling to lift my 3 year old and sleep has been difficult. Also, my weird rash has come back on my hands. Misery loves company, eh 😂
I've been getting about an hour of mild tightenings every night for about a week. Usually around 9-10pm. No obvious mucus plug, but some snottery bits when I wipe. (I was going to apologise for TMI, but we're all about to have babies - no such thing as TMI any more 😂)

Rinoa · 06/06/2020 20:40

Lmao TMI definitely isn't needed for this group! Seriously, after turning off notifications I feel so much better.

Baby still gets hiccups too, which is how I can tell he's a bit lower (not sure if engaged) as I can feel his movements from the hiccups lol. I'm kinda hoping his hiccups break my waters - is that even possible? 😂

sarahlounich · 06/06/2020 21:11

@Missgemini ohh really? Next Saturday is the latest they'd let me go but will agree induction from 41 weeks. I'm the same just feel so tired. Getting on that ball today felt like an effort every time!

I'm now in bed knackered but knowing I'll be up every 2 hours for a wee.

Is anyone else feeling really thirsty despite drinking plenty throughout the day? I feel like I could drink another few pints before I go to sleep!

Sorry haven't been on for a few days

Congratulations to
@lillianfullstop @umabb @SerBrienneOfHouseTarth
@apd1981 @newbyxx

Hope you are all doing well!

@serBrienne thats exactly what we are doing. My body is not providing anywhere near enough milk so I'll feed her first and then top up with formula. Not putting my self under any pressure either. Shes already put 8 ounces on in 12 days so obviously doing something right!

Is it to soon to start talking about the joys of post partum?

Busylizzie85 · 06/06/2020 21:18

@sarahlounich I'm really thirsty all day at the moment!

OP posts:
Missgemini · 06/06/2020 21:32

@sarahlounich Oh I see. Different hospital, different policies, I guess.
And yes, I've been drinking loads. I was giving myself credit for being healthier. But actually, I'm probably much thirstier than usual.

UKtoSK · 06/06/2020 22:03

@sarahlounich I’ve been super thirsty this whole pregnancy but especially recently. I keep a big cup next to my bed with an extra water bottle next to it to refill it during the night as I get through so much! Doesn’t help that it’s getting really really hot here now.

It’s 6am on Sunday morning here and my hips have had enough for the night and since I’m awake I want to get out for my morning walk before it gets too hot but what are the chances my husband will appreciate being woken up at this time to join me??? Really missing English weather right now...

BabyBird20 · 06/06/2020 22:50

I am so blooming nervous about induction tomorrow! Tried to have the chilled happy evening everyone said to have, had a lovely meal and film with dh but now have manically cleaned more of the house and repacked my bags again and am sat in bed with my heart pounding!! Argh!! Need to breathe and chill or I'll never get through labour!! 😬😬😬

Missgemini · 06/06/2020 23:04

@BabyBird20 Good luck for the tomorrow. We'll be thinking of you. You've got this!x

UKtoSK · 06/06/2020 23:05

Good luck @BabyBird20! You’ll do great! x

Magpie21 · 06/06/2020 23:27

@BabyBird20 Good Luck!! You are so close to meeting your baby now! Maybe listen to some calming tracks or a podcast to help you get off to sleep xx

AmyMaria2 · 07/06/2020 01:56

Congratulations @APD1981 💙 I didn't have time for pain relief either, I'm glad it was over quickly though! Lol. Good luck @BabyBird20 so exciting you'll meet your bubba so soon😁xxx

Gigitree · 07/06/2020 03:11

Good luck @BabyBird20 ♥️ Xxx

umabb · 07/06/2020 03:23

@BabyBird20 hey don't worry. Your body knows it all, and the doctors / mws will guide you through xx

Hectic a few days as new parents. Today he seems to be more m used to the bassinet and the longest I managed to keep him there quietly was 50mins in the evening - a milestone! I started to produce milk today and breasts feel a lot fuller. Wanted to feed him more but the husband did too good a job and he's been fast asleep ! Wondering why he suddenly became so sleepy now... the worry never seems to end!

Blizy · 07/06/2020 03:29

@BabyBird20 I'll
Be thinking about you today, fingers crossed for a safe and speedy delivery. X

sarahlounich · 07/06/2020 05:24

Good luck @BabyBird20! X

Rinoa · 07/06/2020 06:07

So I think I'm feeling contractions?! Got woken up about 30 min ago to a strong pain in lower abdomen, maybe cramp like? Hard to describe. I had to get up to cope. Went toilet twice after the pain went away. Tried to lay back down but that's uncomfortable. So just walking around the living room. Pain Came back again a second time then third time. Eeeek!

Busylizzie85 · 07/06/2020 06:36

You have got this @BabyBird20 soon you'll get to meet your little one!

Sounds very promising @Rinoa I hope it really is the start of something!

Rinoa · 07/06/2020 07:01

Yea it's been non stop since I woke up now. No mucus plug or anything else. Woke up DH, poor thing. He's gone to shower and be ready in case anything else although I don't think we'll need to go anywhere anytime soon.
