@Aimy1 yeah me too. I don’t necessarily want to buy pink or blue, but there is a kind of gender persuasion to a lot of clothes.

Glad you’re feeling a bit better although still being sick. At least it’s not all the time. I’m hoping I’m getting my energy back now. Think today is the first day I’ve not had a lie down in weeks!

Ooh yes I do see the three lines! I’ve booked in a private scan too. Just in case OH isn’t allowed to the nhs one (although I’m sure by September he will be so just feels like a good excuse to see baby lots hehe).

Aimy1 · 22/07/2020 19:20

@OrangeJ yes im hoping by September, he will be allowed. Ive got a scan at 32 and 38 weeks too, just to make sure baby is growing properly as my daughter was a little small.. 6lb2 although she was 2 weeks early and my midwife said that was a good size, that he will be allowed to those scans atleast!

Skyla01 · 23/07/2020 11:46

@OrangeJ they have faded a bit already but I'm sure there will be plenty more to come! I'm just gonna roll with it.

We aren't finding out the sex. In my area I would have to pay for a private scan to find out and don't want to fork out for that. I also don't want to dress my baby according to gender so I'm happy to buy everything neutral / mixture of blues and pinks / any colour goes.

Don't listen to your friends too much- just do what feels right for you!

Skyla01 · 23/07/2020 11:48

In my area partners were allowed at scans from 2 weeks ago so at least my DP can come to the 20wk scan.

Here's hoping we all get our energy back soon! I'm feeling better but still struggle to stay awake in the evenings.

NicNac85 · 27/07/2020 16:05

Hello all, just checking in. This is such a difficult time, one moment I’m really happy and they next I’m down and panicking something is wrong. I am 17 wks and now showing after the bloat has gone! I haven’t told work as wfh so can keep it quiet a bit longer but I’m nervous too tell them when the time comes. I also have ordered a doppler which I know is controversial and not recommended but I had one with my first and I just feel like it would help me. Is anyone finding the time just flying past, still trying to come to terms with everything?
Hope everyone is well and enjoying it all. Oh I can’t take my partner to the 20 week scan on 14 August. Booo!

Aimy1 · 04/08/2020 09:22

@NicNac85 hi lovely, hormones are a bitch aren't they! I have booked a private scan for the 15th August so my partner can come as he isn't really finding it all real as he hasn't seen baby yet. Im 15 weeks today and slowly getting my appetite back although I've pretty much gone off all cooked foods especially meat and potatoes. You technically don't need to tell your work until you are 25 weeks pregnant, so don't worry about not doing so yet x

OrangeJ · 13/08/2020 07:25

Morning everyone. Just checking in to see how everyone’s doing?

Oooh exciting @NicNac85 @Aimy1 your scans are so close now! Will you be finding out the sex?

We had a private scan on Tuesday as we were so excited to find out. My nhs one is in 4 weeks away and likely DH won’t be able to come. We’re having a boy and so happy. DH really wanted a boy as he always wanted a brother (only child) and cried when the sonographer told us.

How are people’s bumps coming along? I’m finding my stops at my belly button atm which just makes my spare tyre look bigger πŸ˜‚ also my boobs must be growing as they are itchy and hot as hell!

Aimy1 · 13/08/2020 07:38

@OrangeJ aww congratulations! My other half would like a boy but would be easier for us to have a girl with bedrooms ect. We find out Saturday! Midwife did heartbeat yday and she thinks its a boy. So we shall see! My belly has popped out. My oh so lovely daughter keeps telling me it's getting bigger πŸ˜‚. And omg my boobs are so itchy but can't itch them properly because it hurts! Ive noticed a bit of clear liquid coming out too so think milk supply is on its way! X

NicNac85 · 13/08/2020 23:22

I’m so scared and nervous of scan tomorrow. Just feeling so negative, hope everything will be ok.

Aimy1 · 14/08/2020 08:24

@NicNac85 I'm sure everything will be just fine x

Aimy1 · 15/08/2020 18:12

@NicNac85 how did you get on? We are having a little boy! Mummy daughter threw the cannon and had an absolute meltdown for a couple of hours πŸ˜‚

NicNac85 · 16/08/2020 03:17

Hi @Aimy1, apologies - been meaning to write an update. You were right, everything was fine! All of baby’s scan was normal. They did say I have a low lying placenta slightly covering cervix but not to worry as 9/10 it moves before it’s a problem. Got to have another scan at 34 weeks to check that. Oh and it’s a boy too! My 4 year old little girl asked if we could make it a girl as she didn’t want a brother🀣

Aimy1 · 19/08/2020 07:44

Ah it seems a lot of us are having boys! How lovely x

sachaf08 · 11/09/2020 22:49

Hi everyone! Sorry I haven't been here for ages, I stopped getting the email notifications for some reason! How is everyone doing? I just had my anatomy rescan yesterday at 22+4 as they couldn't find everything at 20 weeks, thankfully everything is fine after a lengthy search for its kidneys!! Baby is on the 97th percentile for weight and length Shock although normal abdomen thankfully.
My sickness has completely gone now (hopefully for good) and I'm feeling so much better , also I seem to be massive suddenly! Can't see my toes suddenly. How are everyone's bumps progressing??

Skyla01 · 12/09/2020 19:52

@sachaf08 Hello! I haven't been on for ages either! So pleased to hear your sickness has gone. I'm 21wk and the last 2 months have been great- enjoying the pregnancy & feeling so much better. The sonographer didn't say much about baby size so I'm guessing it was normal. From what I've heard predicting size can be unreliable so I wouldn't worry too much. How much movement are you feeling? I'm not convinced I've felt any yet but I have an anterior placenta. Looking forward to those first proper kicks! I've got a good little bump- definitely look pregnant. Not too big but still a long way to go. This is my 1st though. This is your 2nd I think? So I guess you'll be feeling bigger this time round?

mumsofboys · 12/09/2020 19:57

Hey girls, haven't been on for ages 22+3 and I actually had a foot appear out today, got a little video. They said I'd feel him early as my placenta is right at the top so completely out the way.
I had a anterior placenta with my son and boy the difference!! I can't believe how strong these kicks are!

sachaf08 · 13/09/2020 00:12

@Skyla01 aw glad you're feeling good! I feel like this is the calm before the storm. My hips are definitely starting to ache a bit but generally I'm feeling really great. This is my first as well, although I've actually been feeling movement since 16 weeks which I wasn't expecting! It's turned into proper thumps this week. I'm sure it won't be too long for you, hopefully not anyway!

@mumsofboys wow that's cool, I've seen my bump jiggle a few times but haven't seen any definite body parts πŸ˜… but yeah mine is really thumping away now

Skyla01 · 14/09/2020 12:27

@mumsofboys do you remember when you first felt movement with your son? Really hoping I get some more movements soon. That's amazing you can see kicks already! My baby must be landing it all straight in to placenta.

We've started thinking about buying some of the bigger things, although will be looking 2nd hand too. Any ideas for baby bed? Moses / cot/ next to me - how do you choose which one to get?!

sachaf08 · 19/09/2020 14:59

@Skyla01 one of my friends has given me a moses basket that they never used, I wasn't going to buy one just because they only fit in them for so long, but I do like it. We've been given a cotbed as well which we probably won't even assemble till the baby is 6 months, so I'm probably also going to get a next to me for the bedroom. I wasn't planning on getting all 3 now but it's just the way it's worked out with our friends giving us stuff! How are you feeling? I had to have a covid test yesterday Shock because I had a sudden cough start on Thursday, but I don't think I have it, if I do it's extremely mild!

Positivetime · 19/09/2020 16:17

Hi all how are we all doing?
Anyone having really painful round ligament pains constantly??

sachaf08 · 19/09/2020 22:55

@Positivetime how are you? I've had a few of what I think are round ligament pains, but they usually only happen when I use those muscles i.e. roll over in bed or something. Are you struggling? xx

Positivetime · 19/09/2020 23:56

Yes unfortunately I’ve had a lot of pain and think it could be that or my fibroid that is present outside of the uterus which is growing according to a midwife I spoke to. But nothi that can be done about either so just hard to carry on with daily life when I’m so much pain.

Aimy1 · 20/09/2020 07:31

Morning all. Glad you are all doing well. I've popped out and can feel movements although not quite strong enough for anyone else to feel. Ive got another scan next Friday as baby wouldn't co operate at 20 weeks so didnt get all measurements. My sickness is a lot better although tiredness is really bad! My placenta is low so ive got to have that checked at my 32 and 38 growth scans. Ive got SPD and sciatica so I'm being referred to physio. But I've always suffered with back pains. X

Skyla01 · 20/09/2020 19:53

@sachaf08 my friend is giving me a Moses basket too so I'll think we'll stick with that and see how it goes. I've started feeling more movement over the past 5 days or so- exciting! OH has been able to feel some kicks too.

@Positivetime sorry you are having so much pain. Can you get help from a maternity physio? I get the odd pain but nothing too bad.

@Aimy1 hope your placenta moves up over time.

Positivetime · 20/09/2020 23:41

Thanx guys.
Sadly I’m not having the best time..I’ve had physio for back pain and now having this constant side pain on my left. On top of that when I went to the hospital Cos of this pain they told me I’ve got a lot of glucose present in the urine, they took bloods and been told I’ve got low vitamin b12 and low hb. I Really don’t know what this all means for the baby as didn’t See a doctor yet. I thought everything so far had been ok and then al of a sudden at 22 weeks it’s all going wrong!
