@babymamma192 congratulations iris is stunning. sorry to hear about breastfeeding and agree it's a tough struggle - i'm with you xxx

woollycat · 30/05/2020 09:18

41+2 today and I am starting to lose hope that baby will arrive on her own. Really trying to not give in to induction pressures for now, but it is hard as obviously I also worry about the risks. 😕😕😕

Babymamma192 · 30/05/2020 10:32

@woollycat I felt exactly the same as you and I was so upset when I had to be induced but it wasn't bad at all and my labour was quick!

I really hope you go into labour naturally and if not the induction might not be as bad as you imagine Flowers

helpasisterout · 30/05/2020 11:23

Sorry totally dropped off the radar I had a fabulous little boy yesterday morning after starting process of induction via cook balloon had to have it removed before having waters broken but there was then no beds - much tears and stress! Home to bed to wake with contractions aprox 2am and he was born by 11.30 in local midwife unit 7lb 13oz home by 10pm. I'm sore with some stitches and feeding is a challenge but what a bloody whirlwind!!

I hope you are well and can't wait to read full thread properly! Xx

woollycat · 30/05/2020 12:00

@helpasisterout congratulations!!! You have done amazingly well despite the difficulties! I am so happy for you ❤️

123Pandy · 31/05/2020 03:03

Just catching up on posts now!
It's been a busy 2 weeks and breastfeeding has been challenging!

Congrats to everyone that's had their new arrivals! :)
@woollycat I hope baby comes soon 🤞🏽 hopefully you shouldn't be waiting much longer😊

woollycat · 01/06/2020 09:59

My baby still hasn't arrived and it's already June! I am 41+4 today, induction is booked for Wednesday but really hoping baby comes before. Never thought I'd be the last one giving birth on this thread with due date being May 21! Hope everyone is doing well ❤️❤️❤️

MrsWhy · 01/06/2020 11:24

@woollycat I'm still waiting at 40 + 6

helpasisterout · 01/06/2020 11:44

@woollycat hang in there late but worth the wait ❤️❤️❤️

november90 · 01/06/2020 15:47

Oh @MrsWhy @woollycat I'm so sorry you're still waiting!!! It really is the most frustrating thing isn't it. I went 3 days over and I felt like I was crawling the walls 🙈 Come on babiesssss!!!!

woollycat · 01/06/2020 17:28

@MrsWhy hang in there!

@november90 @helpasisterout thanks ladies! It's so hard having to decide whether or not to take the induction. My instinct tells me that baby will come when she is ready but the doctor pressuring me is not helping 😕

Naughtysausage · 01/06/2020 20:53

@woollycat fingers crossed for tonight and tomorrow for you.
And @MrsWhy you too!

helpasisterout · 02/06/2020 08:10

@woollycat search positive induction stories group on Facebook. I joined it after I had the cervix ripening balloon fitted and trawled through it and though it didn't end up being my outcome it really calmed me down and busted a lot of negative stuff about inductions for me!

woollycat · 02/06/2020 11:44

@Naughtysausage thanks!
@helpasisterout thanks - I have sent a joining request to that group.

I am currently thinking about declining the induction tomorrow and giving myself another day or two.

Rinoa · 02/06/2020 15:15

@woollycat have they told u if you have an induction too late you can't give birth in the MLU ? Just curious . I'm 39+4 and have said no to a sweep last week and just wonder if I wait to late they will say no to MLU

woollycat · 02/06/2020 15:54

@Rinoa in my trust if you are having an induction, then you can't go to the MLU, regardless of dates. If you are having a natural, non-induced birth, then you can go to MLU until you are 41+6 inclusive, starting from 42w you have to go to the labour ward.

Rinoa · 02/06/2020 22:50

@woollycat thanks for the info !

May2311 · 03/06/2020 08:08

@Lu1u fab thanks!!! Is it the jersey or mesh one that is the light weight one do you know? Xxx

november90 · 03/06/2020 09:19

@woollycat how are you feeling lovely? I hope you're ok with whatever you decided for today ❤️

woollycat · 03/06/2020 09:45

I am now in the hospital waiting for pessary to be inserted. I decided to go with it today as today they can still do it as outpatient, meaning I can go home after pessary. Tomorrow I hit 42w so that would no longer be an option.

Naughtysausage · 03/06/2020 11:33

@woollycat good luck! Hoping you have a quick and smooth induction today.

Lu1u · 03/06/2020 13:52

@may2311 the 3d mesh is the lighter/ more breathable option ☺️ I got mine off Amazon the other week!

helpasisterout · 03/06/2020 18:11

@woollycat all the best with what the next few days have in store take care xx

Bumpingalong84 · 03/06/2020 20:51

Good luck @woollycat. Hope it’s a good experience and you get to meet your baby soon 😊

woollycat · 04/06/2020 03:45

Girls i did it! Pessary went in 10:45am, contractions started 3:30pm and little girl was born 12:30am only 9 hours after first contractions and no need for drip, and only TENS and gas and air (and ventouse in the end but it was a welcome intervention at that point). Induction really can be a positive experience! Thanks so much for all your support ❤️❤️❤️ i can graduate to the other thread now! 😀
