@Babymamma192 I'm sure you'll be fine and good you get home for a while. Best of luck xx

Moongirl10 · 23/05/2020 22:14

Welcome to the thread @Yorkshirelass94! I would personally contact your midwife if you haven’t heard anything just for your peace of mind and to find out next steps.

Naughtysausage · 23/05/2020 22:40

@Yorkshirelass94 yes I think your midwife forgot to book you in. You should definitely have another appt.
But, if it helps, all you've missed so far is yet another bump measurement and a wee test. So don't worry!

Yorkshirelass94 · 24/05/2020 08:25

@Moongirl10 @Naughtysausage thankyou I thought I'd missed an appointment...will call midwives Monday morning definitely don't want to miss my 41 week sweep if he's still hasn't arrived..
40w +2 but holding out as I would love his arrival on my dad's birthday...good luck to all the ladies still waiting for there little ones we are nearly there and congratulations to all the new mums who have bossed labour though these strange times

Bumpingalong84 · 24/05/2020 10:53

Hey ladies. Just thought I’d check in. Hope those who are still waiting aren’t too uncomfortable. Hopefully not much of a wait left for anyone.

I still can’t believe my little lady is here, the night feeding is exhausting I’d forgotten about that after 4.5 yrs!!

Raindancer411 · 24/05/2020 14:29

Hi all, just to update but I got a call this morning to go in for induction at 11;30 today, but as told they still have 2/3 ladies waiting from yesterday before me.

Been monitored and was showing the usual tightenings that I don't feel and when she checked, I am 2cm so no need for the balloon induction and just waiting to be called for my waters to be broken (when it comes my time). I nearly escaped but as of reduced movements I have to stay in until I get called...

Also had to have a Covid test as I came in 🤢

woollycat · 24/05/2020 14:46

@Raindancer411 wow 2cm and no feeling - that's great I think! Do you go home once thry break the waters or you stay there until birth? Good luck!!!

@Bumpingalong84 thanks for checking in - still a few of us to go! 40+3 today, patiently waiting! The trouble is I want to stay active as they say that helps but there is not much to do in these lockdown conditions apart from a daily walk 😕 hope you get some good sleep soon!

Raindancer411 · 24/05/2020 14:53

@woollycat I could have gone home to wait until my turn to go in to delivery but as of reduced movements, I am stuck in. They will break my waters once on the delivery suite and I can then call my friend to come over. Won't be allowed to leave...

Babymamma192 · 24/05/2020 16:13

@Raindancer411 wow hope it goes quick for you 2cm is a good sign! I'm back at the hospital now 24 hours after having the pessary in and I'm only 2cm so you've done really well!
I'm having my waters broken soon too 👍 hope all goes well for you Smile

Bumpingalong84 · 24/05/2020 17:01

@woollycat I know too well just how frustrating it is being indoors most of the day. The day before I went into labour I had a stir fry and chucked lots of chilli flakes on mine, I bounced on my ball, I had Two cups of raspberry leaf tea and I walked 2.5 miles in the heat of last Tuesday. Honestly tho I think these babies just come when they feel like it. My first was 3.5wks early for no known reason and this one born on her due date 🤷🏻‍♀️

Hopefully baby won’t keep you waiting too much longer. It’s funny once they are here you forget about ever having to wait.

Raindancer411 · 24/05/2020 18:16

@Babymamma192 How you doing? I still waiting my turn for waters to be broken xxx

Moongirl10 · 24/05/2020 22:10

Found out I can’t get my c section tomorrow Sad so it’s been booked for Thursday. I really don’t want to wait that long and had a good cry. Hopefully these next three days go quickly, I’m so ready to not be pregnant anymore.

Hope everyone else is doing ok!

Lady7978 · 24/05/2020 22:56

Awww... Sad hopefully the next couple of days will fly past. Try to keep busy if you can and before you know it, Thursday will be here.x

Babymamma192 · 25/05/2020 00:48

@Raindancer411 they broke my water at quarter past 6 and she was born at 22:47pm 😍 did it with gas and air and now she's having a really long feed 😊

How are you getting on? Hope its going well xx

Raindancer411 · 25/05/2020 03:45

@babymamma192 Still waiting to have waters broken. One of the ladies in the room has been in pain most of the night and her waters gone on their own, so she has just gone to the labour ward now.

Really am hoping I can do it all on gas and air but I am a wuss with pain!!

Babymamma192 · 25/05/2020 05:09

@Raindancer411 wow I'm surprised your still waiting! Hope they see you soon.

I progressed quite quick so it was too late to have anything else. It hurt so much but I'm glad I didn't get an epidural this time because I was able to move around and get out of bed really soon after.

Can't wait to get home now tho I must be on a ward with the noisiest most inconsiderate group of women! They've all been making so much noise all night its been hell I'm absolutely shattered!

woollycat · 25/05/2020 05:43

@Babymamma192 congratulations!!! Hope you are discharged soon - enjoy!! ❤️

@Raindancer411 they could really do with some more planning there! I hope you are comfortable and got some sleep. Hopefully not much longer to wait, good luck!

@Moongirl10 sorry it's not today 😕 but it's really not that long now until Thursday, try to rest and really enjoy these 3 days!

@Bumpingalong84 thanks!

helpasisterout · 25/05/2020 06:38

@Babymamma192 congratulations that was quick!!hope you get home to your own comforts soon xx

Raindancer411 · 25/05/2020 07:25

@woollycat We think it's as they are discharging direct from the delivery suites so partners don't have to leave and come back to collect people an hour is so later. It just means it holds it all up..

I have just been to loo and got a brown discharge so told midwife but she said it can change, but am wondering if it's my show...

Raindancer411 · 25/05/2020 11:20

All this waiting around is giving me to much time to think and worry. I can feel my anxiety over the pain and any issues rising up in me...

Anyone else had their waters broken to start labour?

woollycat · 25/05/2020 13:03

@Raindancer411 stay strong, hopefully not long now! Maybe watch or read something positive to take your mind off it.

woollycat · 25/05/2020 18:19

40+4 today and starting to lose hope thay she will come by herself. I really don't want to go for an induction 😢

Naughtysausage · 25/05/2020 20:19

@Babymamma192 Hope you're out of your noisy ward by now - congratulations!

@Raindancer411 fingers crossed things have progressed well for you and it hasn't been too stressful?

@woollycat I'm excited about baby, but honestly just trying to enjoy these last days of freedom! I have an appt tomorrow, but I don't think I'll take a sweep. DS arrived at 41weeks exactly with no extra help.

woollycat · 25/05/2020 21:19

@Naughtysausage I wish I had your patience!

Naughtysausage · 25/05/2020 22:22

@woollycat I am actively trying to be patient Grinit's much easier on happy days, and I've had a really good day today, so I feel much more relaxed about it all!
🤷‍♀️ what else can you do eh?

Also I'm still fitting in a really nice afternoon nap each day which I don't want to give up yet Grin
