Thank you for the well wishes ladies!! Has anyone ever suffered a 3rd degree tear and had no lasting damage? Everything I’ve seen looks pretty scary....

Kgreen87 · 22/05/2020 12:29

@facevalue thanks for the advice! Sent hubby to get the knickers earlier! I'm on the ward now so baby will soon be here!

Congrats @Clairesoph and @CharlieB93 on your lovely new arrivals!!

May is the best month!

woollycat · 22/05/2020 13:01

@Kgreen87 all the best for today! Thinking of you.

@Raindancer411 still two days to go, fingers crossed things start by themselves!

@Naughtysausage how are you getting on? I am a little disappointed that due date has now passed and nothing. I always knew due date was very low chance but still, I think subconsciously I kind of hoped she'd arrive by then.

facevalue · 22/05/2020 13:07

@Kgreen87 goodluck x you can do this - enjoy your baby

Naughtysausage · 22/05/2020 13:57

@Kgreen87 good luck today! Exciting!

@Clairesoph not 3rd degree, but my 2nd degree healed perfectly. Stay away from google! Muscle is honestly great at healing - full of blood vessels.

@woollycat everything feels normal. I'm quite happy to keep waiting. I'm very aware this LO is much easier to look after on the inside. Grin

Naughtysausage · 22/05/2020 14:22

Sorry @Clairesoph , that comment on tears was for @CharlieB93

Moongirl10 · 22/05/2020 22:31

My ultrasound confirmed that baby is breech. I’ve been booked in for a c section for next Thursday which is 1 day after my due date and feels so long away!
The doctor said there may be a chance I can have it on Monday but she won’t know until Sunday evening, so fingers crossed it gets moved up to Monday.Smile

Lady7978 · 23/05/2020 00:41

Oh, hope you're able to have it done for Monday. Will you get told on Sunday what happens or will it be a case of getting a call on Monday morning? Bet you can't wait to meet your baby!

Moongirl10 · 23/05/2020 01:08

@Lady7978 The doctor said she’d call me on Sunday night if I can go in on Monday morning! Fingers crossed.

Kgreen87 · 23/05/2020 03:45

My chunky little monkey Tabitha Rose was born by C Section at 4.05pm yesterday! Weighing in at 10lb 2oz!
Thank you everyone for your kind words yesterday whilst I was scared! I didnt need to be though, the surgeons, nursing staff and midwives are all fantastic, helpful and super professional. My partner checked in with me from arrival, stayed with me through the operation, and then he stayed 4 hours after on the bay in the ward with me. It was emotional when he left and you need all the help you can get from the midwives but that's what they are there to do. I'm hoping to be discharged tomorrow all being well, they discharge me straight from the recovery ward where there are only 4 of us (and I'm definitely the neediest mother with the loudest screaming baby that I haven't a clue how it works haha)

Good luck everyone remaining for your beautiful May babies!!! 🥰

woollycat · 23/05/2020 09:39

@Kgreen87 congratulations!!! Glad it went well and hope you get home soon with your little one 😍

@Moongirl10 at least there is a plan now! Hope you get more clarity on Sunday, and get some rest in the meantime!

So who is remaining? 😀 it's really just a handful of us now!

Naughtysausage · 23/05/2020 09:40

Ah @Kgreen87 she's lovely! Congratulations!

facevalue · 23/05/2020 09:56

@Kgreen87 fabulous x i love a chunky baby 😍 my babies are tiny ( but normal ). definitely ask for help- next day home after c section is too soon in my opinion but see how u go- if u r walking and opened your bowels x

Emmacb82 · 23/05/2020 11:10

Congratulations @Kgreen87 she’s beautiful!

helpasisterout · 23/05/2020 11:56

Congrats to all new babies so cute 😍

I'm still here @woollycat at 40+3 couldn't have sweep yesterday as cervix posterior and head too far down. Booked for another try next week and induction date of 30th if nothing before then.. sigh! But on the positive side it's not long at all in the grand scheme of things!

Babymamma192 · 23/05/2020 12:08

Congratulations to everyone who has had their babies the last few days 😍

@woollycat I'm still here....being induced at 3pm today! So nervous and scared but I'm looking forward to holding my little girl! Smile

Naughtysausage · 23/05/2020 13:17

Good luck @Babymamma192 !

That's so exciting, hope it's quick and easy.

woollycat · 23/05/2020 13:32

@Babymamma192 exciting times! Hope it goes well for you 🤞🏻

@helpasisterout it can be nice to have an end date in sight! I am 40+2 and not sure yet if I want to accept a sweep next week or book an induction. I was really hoping for things to start on their own but I might run out of patience

Babymamma192 · 23/05/2020 14:08

@Naughtysausage @woollycat Thanks! On my way to the hospital now!

helpasisterout · 23/05/2020 16:01

@Babymamma192 good luck! What method are they starting with? My local nhs are starting all low risk inductions with the cooks balloon method and sending home for 24 hours after inserting it!

Lady7978 · 23/05/2020 16:15

@Moongirl10 fingers crossed you get the call tomorrow.

@woollycat I'm still here. I'm 39+1 so behind you all. Seems I might have a bit to do.

Lady7978 · 23/05/2020 16:25

*bit of waiting to do.

Yorkshirelass94 · 23/05/2020 16:49

Hey new to thread was concerned I'm now 40w+1 no signs of labour was expecting a call from midwife and to be offered an appointment for my due date Friday and no bodies been in contact last seen a midwife at 38w +4...should I be contacting the midwives myself? think they forgotten about me as my pregnancy has been fairly straightforward all way through

Babymamma192 · 23/05/2020 17:06

@helpasisterout thanks they've put a propess in and I've just got home now so I've just got to wait. Dreading the contractions though because I've been induced like this before and it was hours and hours of contractions without and dialiting so I'm just hoping it's better and quicker this time round!
