Lilice · 13/05/2020 12:38

Thanks for the legging recommendations ladies. I'm so ashamed, my knickers are now to small. My butt is trying to outdo my bump 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Piper1879 · 13/05/2020 13:19

Sunshinexx95 · 13/05/2020 16:39

Due 7th of September team girl ❤️

ShiningStarz · 13/05/2020 16:45

@Lilice I'm starting to get conscious of my weight gain and what's to be expected versus eating everything in sight!! This working from home is no good for the waist line 🤣🤣 lots of time after baby comes to get back into our sexy knickers 🤞🤞💜

CNovittBolden · 13/05/2020 17:20

Had my scan this week. Any guesses? 😍

@Lorna198 due 12th September - Team Yellow Smile

Lilice · 13/05/2020 18:37

@ChipsAreLife @ShiningStarz I'm glad I'm not the only one. And I exercise one hour a day on my cross trainer. Imagine if I didnt !!! I think my body just want to be fat when I'm pregnant, no matter what I mean or how much I exercise

Lilice · 13/05/2020 18:39

@CNovittBolden such a lovely scan picture! I'd say boy too but I'm rubbish at guessing

CNovittBolden · 13/05/2020 18:53

@Lilice @ChipsAreLife you're right! Team boy! 💙

Hey all
Missed the chat yesterday about maternity leave. Funny enough my boss called me yesterday asking what my intentions were how long am I taking off abs am I returning after? We only get statutory pay nothing from my work so money keep rubbish!! This is my first and I felt under pressure to give her answers then and there. I said I would return because I probably will but don’t know how I’ll feel after baby and nursery so expensive too! I’m working right until I can a few days before birth if baby comes when expected but again can never predict when this will happen!! My friend just had her baby 9 weeks early! So you never know. Due 23rd and girl.

Piper1879 · 13/05/2020 19:27

In terms of maternity. I'm due on the 2nd , leave starts on the 29th August but annual leave starts on the 13th August. I'm not sure if I will have a job to return too . As currently furloughed and it's a small business , only get smp so need to work as close to baby as I can

emma278 · 13/05/2020 19:52

@Lilice i have 4 pairs from Jojo maman, the cotton ones, they are comfy and good quality. Also I have seraphine ones, they are lovely and soft but HUGE!!

@ShiningStarz i am starting to feel so fat and unattractive. 😩 i keep worrying my husband will think thr same xx

LatteLover12 · 14/05/2020 08:36

Morning all,

I'm due September 14th and I'm having a boy 💙

I think I'm going to start my mat leave on the 6th. I'll not be returning to work now anyway (I'm working from home as a teacher) so it's very strange that I'll not be back at work until next May at the earliest! I miss my kids and my friends at school.

Is everyone still wearing normal, wired bras? I'm just wearing normal bras but in a much bigger size. Hoping the fact they're wired won't cause problems for feeding.

Had another nosebleed this morning as soon as I sat up in bed. Never seen DP move so fast! 😂

Time for a cup of tea I think!

MooseWL · 14/05/2020 09:22

@lattelover12 don't think I've wore a bra since lockdown began 😂 just wearing sports crop tops (I have small enough boobs that I can get away with it even though they've grown!)

LatteLover12 · 14/05/2020 09:29

😂 I have become a fan of a 'secret support' vest too.

Roxy8203 · 14/05/2020 09:49

@LatteLover12 I haven't wore a wired bra since I found out I was pregnant. My old ones wouldn't fit now anyway but I didn't think wired was recommended when pregnant or breast feeding. I might be wrong but I've stuck with non wired

ShiningStarz · 14/05/2020 11:57

I'm with you @MooseWL 🤣🤣
I bought non wired from new look but they were so itchy I never actually kept it on longer than 5 minutes!
I did just order a non wired M&s one which is more elastane like sports bra and I'm hoping when that arrives it will be perfect.

I can't imagine sitting at my laptop all day from 36 weeks !! I think I'm taking my 20'days to be off a good 4 weeks before due date. The annual leave for next year can be added to extend the return date 😊

Sara7455 · 14/05/2020 12:20

I’ve ordered some maternity bras from m&s that are super comfy. Wish I could stick with sports bras a support vests but my boobs have got fairly massive and won’t fit into most things anymore so thought I should be sensible and buy something designed for the purpose

baggies · 14/05/2020 14:10

Hope you don't mind me joining the party. I've been following this thread as my daughter is expecting her first baby in September and I thought I'd pass on any tips to her.
You've already helped with maternity clothes .
Well...... she had her 20 week scan today and she's having a baby girl!!
We're all so excited and the bank account will now start to take a battering. Just wanted to share it with you all!

Lilice · 14/05/2020 14:45

@baggies congrats to your daughter!

@LatteLover12 I stopped wearing wired bras from the beginning because my boobs were big and sore (still are) so I switched to something I found in asda, it looks like a sports bra but its embellished with laces. And I wear sport bras the rest of the time.
Will you not go back to work in june of schools reopen? I've told my school I wouldn't be there in july if they're open but I think they expect me to come in june.

LatteLover12 · 14/05/2020 14:57

No @Lilice pregnant women still fall into the vulnerable category and my HT wouldn't countenance having me back. I'll share the govt advice below in case you want it too.

Thanks for all the bra tips ladies, I'd better have a look for some non-wired ones because I definitely want to breastfeed. More shopping!
