Same here! I get hay fever anyway but pretty much this whole pregnancy has been stuffy nose and nosebleeds. OH has also complained a few times that I’ve started snoring but I think he might have to get used to that (and also he really isn’t one to talk, ha!)

ChipsAreLife · 12/05/2020 08:50

@lilice no you're right to be worried it's a very scary time. I've read into it and the data seems to show under tens don't spread it, nor do they get really unwell from it. Obviously it's still a new virus but that's encouraging. Also we are a market town and have had one death here so it's not prevalent like some places.

Also unless we completely isolate there's just as much a chance I could get at hospital having MW apps or DH at a supermarket. I also keep reading on here people are waiting till September to send theirs (not sure what's happening then that changes things) but hopefully it means quieter classes!

My three year old really needs to go back, she has regressed hugely and I'm worried about how that'll be when a newborn comes and she starts school the next day (she turns four in August)

I think you have to look at it all and decide what's best for your family. There is no right or wrong xx

Sorry that was long!!

Here is an interesting article. Of course its initial data but encouraging. Also in countries like Aus they didn't close all schools down and they've managed to get the cases down.

@Sep20baby I’m good thanks! Just so so tired, woke up late but was still tired! Then just had a nap 😂 Can’t get over the tiredness! How are you? I’m having a girl 😊

MooseWL · 12/05/2020 13:03

Just had my scan. All looked well, baby was being a pain curled up in a ball facing my back 😂 and it's a boy! (though she was like it's hard to tell because the cord is between the legs) but she circled it so I'm hoping that means she was sure!
I've got an anterior placenta which is maybe why I've felt nothing yet but also he was just being really chilled in his ball so maybe he's just lazy!

emma278 · 12/05/2020 13:18

Anyone else struggling with constipation (sorry tmi!!!) i think its the iron in the vitamins. Geuinely worried i was going to push baby out earlier 😂 im drinking tonnes of water so maybe time to invest in some extra help 🙈 x

MooseWL · 12/05/2020 13:35

@emma278 I've had it really bad a couple of times since being pregnant. It really is awful 😂 eat lots of fruit and drink lots! If it's really bad your pharmacy should be able to give you some pregnancy friendly laxative

Zaalfruit · 12/05/2020 13:36

@emma278 yes !! Deffo the vitamins and iron tablets . I can’t drink anymore water just makes me feel bloated and heavy 😂🤣

Ohh team boy and girl I can’t wait for my scan on Thursday - deffo want to find out the gender !

Sep20baby · 12/05/2020 13:57

@Emmy2020 yes I’ve noticed I’m more tired the last few week. I’m still working from home and it’s super busy and extra stress with everything st the moment doesn’t help. I’m having a girl too!!! How exciting. Have you bought anything yet? So much to think about xx

pangolin84 · 12/05/2020 14:05

Hi all. Had my scan this morning and everything they could look at was fine. Baby was lying awkwardly and refused to move so they couldn’t get the detailed view of the heart ☹️. No additional scan offered because of Covid... and there was me thinking this virus situation wasn’t supposed to impact on the care we receive. Now in two minds about going for a private scan and hoping baby plays ball.
Anyway, overall really happy that things look fine. And we found out we’re having a boy! 🎉

pangolin84 · 12/05/2020 14:07

@emma278 apparently prunes are really good to help move things along. I’ve got an emergency tin in the cupboard but thankfully not had to use it yet...

ShiningStarz · 12/05/2020 14:23

Lol lol lol @emma278 your message made me 🤣🤣🤣 hope you are ok though! Try drinking herbal teas / hot water xx

emma278 · 12/05/2020 14:24

@pangolin84 thats really naughty at the scan, i had exactly the same thing with the heart but luckily got there after some last ditch jumping. However she said if she hadnt of got it i wouldve gone back another day to recheck what they couldnt see. I wouldnt accept that especially with something as important as babys heart. Id push for a rescan xx

AnnieTh · 12/05/2020 14:26

Due mid September. Someone around West-London?

emma278 · 12/05/2020 14:30

@AnnieTh hi there! Welcome. Im SW London! X

MooseWL · 12/05/2020 14:32

@emma278 I also had to do some mid scan jumping 😂 didn't help that I had a full bladder even though apparently didn't need one for this scan haha

AnnieTh · 12/05/2020 14:43

Hi @emma278 when are you due?

emma278 · 12/05/2020 14:45

@MooseWL luckily she let me go for a wee midway through!!!

@AnnieTh due Sep 10th. First baby. 😊

OrDis · 12/05/2020 14:52

Glad i’m not the only one with nosebleeds. No one I know IRL seems to have been affected by that particular pregnancy ailment 🤣

Lovely news on the scan @MooseWL & @pangolin84, although it is a bit frustrating that they can’t get you back to look at the heart pangolin.

Emmy2020 · 12/05/2020 15:59

@Sep20baby Have only just begun to get things. Got some baby clothes and got given a Moses basket and baby bath. My mum just ordered me a next 2 me magic crib which looks really nice! How about you? How exciting having a girl too! Is it your first?

Emmy2020 · 12/05/2020 16:03

Congratulations @MooseWL and @pangolin84😊

pangolin84 · 12/05/2020 16:19

Yeah I jumped around a few times, went for a wee, jiggled around, lay on each side.... he was having none of it! She said from what she could see it looked ok structurally and the heartbeat was good. I didn’t even realise they would usually offer another scan until I read it in my notes afterwards.

Sep20baby · 12/05/2020 16:29

@Emmy2020
Yes this my first. How about you? That’s lucky you got some bits. I’ve only ordered nursery furniture so far as this was a gift form in laws and arrives next week from wayfair and snuzpod next to me. Hope the shops open soon to look at Prams.

Emmy2020 · 12/05/2020 16:34

This is my 3rd! Big gap between baby and my two other girls!! Will be so exciting if the shops opened and we can look around, much nicer than ordering online!
