@zaalfruit have you had a look for second hand ones locally? My sister managed to get her pram for about a quarter of the price, it was In as new condition - the woman she bought it off just had a bit of an addiction to buying prams haha.

I'm about 5"2 and I would recommend staying away from any of the icandy ones as they made me feel like a child pushing them!!

Last time we had a Cosatto Wow. Absolutely loved it but not very good on anything other than pavements, and it said it would do until 4 but my son has just turned 2 and is short and has nearly grown out of it! We've ended up buying a citi mini jogger gt second hand for dog walks etc and it's been brilliant. I'm probably going to look for a double version of that or the out and about nipper.

Anyone else looking for a double that has recommendations? My main issue is that we kept my son parent facing until he was well over one as loved talking to him, and can't really find a side by side double where that's a proper option.

Sara7455 · 10/05/2020 11:33

Hi everyone,
Pram wise I was looking at the out n about Nipper (it comes in single and double) and is really reasonably priced and meant to be great off road (we live in the country) - suitable from new born etc. The reviews seem really great from what I’ve seen, just really wish I could see it in person before I buy!

Roxy8203 · 10/05/2020 11:38

@Zaalfruit I've just ordered the mamas and papas Ocarro. Saw a great bundle deal so did some research, watched some you tube videos and couldn't find anyone who had a bad word about it.

Zaalfruit · 10/05/2020 11:40

@ChipsAreLife mainly car to transport to my parents who live in the country side so the terrain is a bit bumpy and uneven . I doubt I will take the buggy on the tubes in London - we live on the border of central London And my car permit allows me access to some parts of central London so we can park and walk into central.

Zaalfruit · 10/05/2020 11:46

@Roxy8203 so many good reviews about the mamas and papas I just want to touch and feel them.

@Lazydaisydaydream deffo up for buying second had But my dh is so against it - he just finds it so strange. If I see a great deal I will just get and say it’s new . He problem is how will you service test it . Not sure about the double I’m a FTM but if I come across then they all seem world facing .

@Sara7455 ooh might look at the nipper buggy my preference is more four wheels than three but of reviews are good and price aswell I will be swayed.

Sara7455 · 10/05/2020 11:59

@Zaalfruit - they’re definitely worth looking at, someone I follow on insta for horse reasons was gifted one when she was having her first and has really put it through its paces and it seems to be doing well. Feel like I’ve read about a million buggy reviews at this point though and still umming and ahhing.
Secondhand does sound like a good option as well though if you have your heart set on one of the other options!

Lazydaisydaydream · 10/05/2020 12:15

@sara7455 I have a few friends who have the out and about nipper and love it. It can literally be taken anywhere!

Roxy8203 · 10/05/2020 12:19

@Zaalfruit yeah I was thinking the same but when I saw the offer I couldn't let it pass. Got an 11 piece bundle with all this for the price of the pram on its own

@Lazydaisydaydream Oo thank you! I think it might well be the one, definitely good to get opinions from people who actually have them to help with the decisions. Everything I hear about them is so positive so far!

Spark27 · 10/05/2020 12:47

Hey ladies, I got the Joie chrome dlx when I had my DD and will be using it again for the next one. It's a good package at a good price. I wasnt too fussed on size as not using it on public transport, but I wanted something that I could get in and out of the car boot easily myself. We were lucky last time that we could get out to test stuff, and this one wasnt too heavy for me (even when pregnant). And I could work out how to collapse it and get all the bits on and off myself (some are so confusing!)
The basket size is ok, the handle bars are sturdy for any extra clips. I like that you could have the seats rear or forward facing. I used the pram cot when in the house and downstairs to save moving the moses basket around loads.

Piper1879 · 10/05/2020 14:49

I got the Babyzen yo-yo newborn and toddler package. I have an ancient corsa so it needed to fit in there easily and I use public transport a lot so I needed something compact.

I am looking at baby carrier recommendations? If anyone has any advice

Sep20baby · 10/05/2020 15:52

Hey ladies
I see you’re talking about Prams. Are you ordering online or waiting until the shops hopefully open?! I really want to try them out in person but worried shops won’t be open for a while...due 23/09. Also so many to chose form!! Xx

sianyflewog · 10/05/2020 17:09

@Sunshinexx95 Where are you located? A friend of mine is selling her Bugaboo Bee, as her little boy is now in school x

Chanel05 · 10/05/2020 17:21

@Sep20baby we were going to wait but decided to buy the Silver Cross Pioneer last week online as we found a deal that suited us. We want an isofix base too but will get that at a later stage.

sianyflewog · 10/05/2020 17:51

@Chanel05 That’s what I have, and I still love it. Might get a new colour pack for it this time x

ChipsAreLife · 10/05/2020 18:58

@lazydaisydream I got a britax agile double. It was great as not crazy expensive and folded down in one so easy to Chuck in the boot. We used it loads as girls are only 19
Months apart. I did also use bugaboo and a sling though too.

I got a baby bjorn carrier was really good. I also borrowed a fabric sling which I found hard to get the hang of but it was good. It was just an eBay one I think!

The good news is some shops may be open from June. Hopefully shops for baby stuff will be!!! Everything seems out of stock online and nicer to look at things in person

Lazydaisydaydream · 10/05/2020 22:24

@chipsarelife thank you will look that pram up! Not sure I've seen that one before.

@Piper1879 I used a stretchy wrap to start with (think it was a boba), and then got an integra connecta. Can use for front or back carries and I found it really comfy. Carried my son up until I was about three months pregnant and then my belly got too big! Slings are so personal though - it really helps to borrow from a sling library first but obviously that's not exactly easy at the moment!

Also thanks to whoever recommended the tuppence and crumble star wrap, won one on eBay today for £3! Second thing I've bought for the baby Grin

LatteLover12 · 11/05/2020 05:49

@sulkypatsy that's your colostrum. It's totally normal and nothing to worry about.

I'm stuck between the ocarro and the bugaboo fox too. They both look similar but the bundle deal for the ocarro would save us a fortune!!Im hoping the shops find a way to reopen by July so I can look properly before spending all that money!

ShiningStarz · 11/05/2020 08:14

I'v been researching the baby carriers and we both like the ergo baby omni cattier.

The fox 2 is out of stock apparently until mid -to late May. I signed up to a few sites to get notification on when it's due back in stock (in black). Natural baby shower give 10% off but bugaboo direct don't give any discount.

Lilice · 11/05/2020 08:45

I have my scan this afternoon yay!!!! So excited and nervous at the same time!

What did you guys think about boris's speech, especially regarding the potential reopening of schools? I'm in two minds, I do want my kids to go back to a normal life but at the same time worried it's not so safe. I guess I'll know more in 3 weeks. Also I'm a teacher myself and work in a school once a week. I dont know if I should go back if they do reopen in june.

Sara7455 · 11/05/2020 09:29

@Lilice good luck with the scan this afternoon!

I think we’re going to have to hold tight and see what they say as more details come out today on Boris’s speech. For now I don’t think a lot is changing but surely they’re going to need to clarify how they picture opening schools to work?

Chanel05 · 11/05/2020 10:07

@Lilice enjoy your scan today!

I really don't know to be honest. I'm a primary teacher myself so I'm concerned as children won't be able to maintain social distancing. Selfishly, I'm hoping by the time they announce my year group I'll be in the third trimester as the RCOG are stating that women in third should not be public facing. I do see though that the world has to start moving though and schools are a natural start.

Emmy2020 · 11/05/2020 12:00

@Sep20baby I’m due same date as you!

ShiningStarz · 11/05/2020 12:29

@Lilice enjoy the scan today xx

Anyone else stressing?! Lol maybe just me!! We moved into a new house just before lockdown which needs works done to it. It's loveable as it is but I was so looking forward to putting my make on it by getting new bathroom suite, floors, blinds, paint, carpets etc
Just feeling gutted that our little ones room won't be done. Trying to tell myself as long as they have a place to sleep in our room for first 6 months time, then all will be fine! I just wanted the house to be perfect to enjoy it as well as newborn ☹️
