Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Amani · 01/10/2007 14:19

Errm has Neuro had a personality transplant or is someone pretending to be her??

Never heard you like that that before ...

About the shiny face - that was ages ago, but thank you for your lesson in beautification....

Neuro · 01/10/2007 14:21

Ha ha ha. What do you mean????

Amani · 01/10/2007 14:25

Well Ms Prim and Proper, seems like you are sliding with all this crude talk...

Neuro · 01/10/2007 14:36

I"m not really prim and proper. Do love that soapbox though

I've just eaten a big bowl of soup and feel even more nap-like. Oh dear.

mixedmama · 01/10/2007 14:40

I am finishing work at 4.00 cannot wait.. had enough today. Dh started new shift today as well so will be home by 6 - 6.30 so pleased... as it means he can bath DS etc and spend some time rather than Ds being asleep when he comes in.

beller · 01/10/2007 14:40

So is he going to be Actively involved with baby? I think its a pretty cool thing, as long as future partners dont get in the way, but im sure you have written the ground rules on that already!

Well if needed he could be around to start labour later on !!

MamaMaiasaura · 01/10/2007 14:42

pmsl @ neuros posts today Especiallyh the vision of oiled up baby slipping off down corridor.

Gingeme - glad you ds is recovering so well Ds still not good. Woke at 12.30am and 6am beisde himself with earache. HAd complete tears from him over drinking anything today, let alone eating. Spoke to dr's who are also getting concerned with the non drinking. THey mentioned poss re-admission Dr came out, we managed to get ds to drink some water. Thankfully not dehydrated as he is resting and not burning off much. She said antibiotics wil fight off infection too. Prescribed more paracetamol. If not better/much improved by Thursday she wants to see him again.

Hosptial bag.. Arrgghh not even got a bag to take. Can imagine me with carrier bag . I have mostly 0-3 months but some newborn. Ds was 8lb12oz so nearly grown out of them straight away. Have 2 nightgowns I used for ds (little bunnies on the front) They were fab and easy access to nappy area.

Freaky dream last night (when i actually got some sleep) - dreamt the baby didnt have a neck but rolls of fat there instead, huge cavernous ears, 8 nipples that looked like cauliflowers, a hernia on his tummy and see through skin on his thighs. Really really freaky. He did have blue eyes tho!

Amani - Love the new name, miss MOtherofZ tho.

beller · 01/10/2007 14:44

at least yours was planned though Neuro...sort of makes thinsg easier? Really dont think im going to hear from x now...onwards and upwards...no chance of number 2 with him anyway hahahahahaa

beller · 01/10/2007 14:45

Awen - nice dream! hahah hope ds is recovered soon xx

Neuro · 01/10/2007 14:50

Beller - he wants to be involved and so i shan't stop him. All i've said is that he has to do what he says he's going to do. I don't mind if he only visits twice a month as long as he turns up when agreed.
He said the other day that he's looking forward to buying a baby carrier (the ones that are attached to your body) and walking round London showing him/her off. I imagine he will be bit of a babe magnet when he does that.
I'm not going to be living near him for a year, maybe two, so will prob only manage visits every 2 months , but when baby is about 2 i'm looking at doing my top up degree in London, so he'll see it all he wants.
He's really excited about it all though and says can't wait to give it a cuddle, which of course is attractive. He also assured me that he is good at nappies and unafraid of poo.
It could work out a really nice situation.

Neuro · 01/10/2007 14:54

Well it's all sounds good now Beller. We shall see how it pans out. He might meet a woman who hates the sight of me. Anything could happen.

As for your situation, i think you are better off without a man who can't make up his mind if he's committed or not.

You sound more than capable enough x

beller · 01/10/2007 14:55

well sounds a win win situation then neuro! Think youre right though saying he just has to do what he says he wil...not much to ask eh!
Where abouts are you now? Would definately be good to meet up when your in london x

beller · 01/10/2007 15:02

oh hes made up his mind....definately not commited! Only to himself...he has big issues i think, and the more i think about it , the better off I think I am on my own. His gambling is worse than he ever told me, and I havnt worked for my own house etc to be spunked away by someone playing poker! I do hope the baby will at least know who he is..but I will NEVER rely on him for anything.
Quite looking forwrd to falling in love in the future, hopefully!( a good couple of years)....Really dont need 2 babies at the moment and he is definately one! Albeit a 42 year old one......

beller · 01/10/2007 15:17

Ooooh Just had one of the management come up to me and say "suppose we better have a meeting soon about what we are going to do with you and that".....hmmmm nice? Ive already told them im going on mat leave on 30th nov....Although my contract here runs out next June while im off, but think it just goes to 3 month rolling notice....not sure what else they want to say? will find out at 10.30 tom mng!

Neuro · 01/10/2007 15:27

Awww I'm looking forward to falling in love too. It's been a long time since I was really in love. Last time i fell in (!) I was 26, so nearly 10 years ago...

Good luck with your meeting. At least they are thinking about you.

I am down in Bournemouth.

Would be lovely to have a London meet up in Dec. Will def let you know closer to the time. I'm looking forward to being up in town with all the lights and just being able to wander about in no particular rush. Trying to rack my brains of anything i haven't done yet in London, can't think of anything. My latest thing when i visit is doing those walking tours. The Jack the Ripper one was ace. Will prob attempt one of those. This is going to be my most exciting Christmas ever. Might book in for some relflexology as it can start labour off in some women.

And goodness, yes, you don't need a gambler around. I think you'll be a fab mum

Neuro · 01/10/2007 15:28

Beller maybe the management have some exciting plans for you? I know you plan to open a nursery though

chunkypudding · 01/10/2007 15:29

Awen - haven't spoken to you before as I'm still quite a newbie on here, but I'm sending you hugs all the same as it sounds like you have tons on your plate at the moment. Hope you're feeling okay and that your DS is on the mend soon. Hope all's well with your wee one too gingeme.

Amani - aagh just got used to who you were and now you've changed! Lovely name though...

Oh and Susiemj, no stretch marks yet tho I did read of one lady who thought she was doing really well, no stretchies at all, but turned out they were all on bottom of her tum and hidden from her view by the curve of her belly!
Have a friend who is a gynacologist (sp??) and she asks every woman who gives birth and still has no stretch marks what oil they use, apparently the Clarins stuff has been the one that came out top on this poll... she gave me some for my birthday (smells lovely) but I think it's still mostly down to genes...

Can't believe people are packing bags already! Feel completely disorganised now, haven't done a thing. So now going to have a big, and pointless, panic!!! Am seriously overtired as still have low iron and went to bf's wedding this weekend, wonderful, emotional, utterly exhausting!

Have soooo much to do at work and all I want to do is sleep. boo.

Stupid question, does 3rd trimester officially begin at 27 weeks? Keep reading conflicting things and am confused.

Also wondered if there are any Due in Jan MN'ers that are in the Bristol area? Everyone seems to be London/North...

I'm now going to play with a giant spreadsheet - oh the joy!!!

chunkypudding · 01/10/2007 15:32

hope meeting goes well tomorrow Beller - you never know they might surprise you!

Neuro · 01/10/2007 15:34

Don't panic Chunky! All i have is the bag and a list. Not actually bought anything on it yet!

Amani · 01/10/2007 15:39

Awen - weird dream!!
Chunky - like to keep people on their toes with the name change - now I can find out who the observent ones are!!
All the best with the meeting Beller - let us know how it goes!

mixedmama · 01/10/2007 15:40

20 mins and then it is home time.. yay

chunkypudding · 01/10/2007 16:00

Amani - thinking about changing my name, as it was only in exasperation, when I couldn't think of anything that hadn't been taken, that I put 'chunkypudding' in!!

It's what my dp (not so sure about the 'd' when it comes to this!!) has taken to calling me since I got pg. Well, it was that or 'littlefatty' !!!!

Neuro - ta for the reassurance, a real actual bag and a real actual list still seem pretty impressive to me! I just get as far as thinking 'Hospital, birth, I'm gonna have a baby aaaarrrgh!!!' Mind you, as you kindly posted list I can just imagine that is mine and I am totally in control of the whole thing...

chunkypudding · 01/10/2007 16:01

although I'm getting used to 'chunky' now!!

MamaMaiasaura · 01/10/2007 16:04

chunkypudding - thanks for hugs. I think 3rd trimester starts 27 weeks.

YAY - I enter the final trimester today

Neuro - you are just down motorway from me - southampton here, although moving nearer new forset end hopefully.

Amani - was very weird. DP laughed when he told him on the phone about it.

chunkypudding · 01/10/2007 16:08

so that's thursday for me then! can't believe final trimester already!!! Am very excited/terrified/sleeeepy....

Crazy dream Awen. I've had some bonkers ones lately but think yours wins!
