@Pegase yeah I got the snuzpod 3. I ordered a pack of 2 plain white fitted sheets of the website for £16 with free delivery . I read a couple of things online about certain Asda sheets fitting but I couldn’t be bothered searching online for the right size tbh😂🙈

Rinoa · 15/04/2020 16:33

Not sure if anyone here goes to Homerton Hospital but they have put up videos and slides on their website as the antenatal classes were cancelled. 😃 www.homerton.nhs.uk/maternity-services

AnonyHB · 15/04/2020 19:00

I have the maxi cosi iora - does anyone know which sheets fit that (they make their own which I can buy but wondered if any others are compatible?)

Gigitree · 15/04/2020 19:19

@anonyHB I don’t have the iora but I found ones for my Snuzpod by just searching ‘Snuzpod 3 sheets’ on amazon and then ones that fit came up, you can check in the reviews section that they fit your modal.
Hope that helps.

Mums that aren't breastfeeding what formula are yous going for?

peetieswie · 15/04/2020 22:20

Think I've bought too many sleeping devices! Bought next to me crib from mothercare sale, sniglar Ikea cot, mokee wool nest (second hand) and a sleepyhead (second hand)! Not sure I'm going to need all these. Was planning baby to sleep in mokee crib for first six months, maybe with sleepyhead inside, and then in the wool nest for naps or when we travel as it folds flat. Wish we could get the nursery ready but waiting for a joiner to put doors on fitted wardrobes. Who knows when that will be 😔

Firsttimerat35 · 15/04/2020 22:35

Glad to hear everyone is still getting their appointments and scans! @Blizy 4 weeks ahead?! That must have been a shock!! Good to have the reassurance of an extra scan. @mrssunshine I'm with you with feeling ok (good is a stretch!!). Not too many aches and pains yet but I'm waiting for those to kick in!! Sorry to hear how much others are suffering. Does a pregnancy pillow thing help anyone?? I've had a Dreamgenii from about 15 weeks but I just cant get on with it!! Tried it again the other day now I'm bigger and just cant get comfortable!

umabb · 15/04/2020 22:54

Had another quieter afternoon and evening. I had a very busy day working through the whole afternoon without noticing anything other than very rare small moves. Some light kicks after dinner then quieter again. Only until just now if I put my hand on my belly he'd be pushing me back - coming back to his norm now. Definitely much lighter movements since 31 weeks.. don't like that but maybe he's really getting big and less room.. 😖

@Rinoa thank you so much! Those online lessons will come in handy, I'm sure. I might go through some of them tomorrow.

My baby's movements feel huge now! I don't know how else to describe them, but I feel like a big human is moving around inside me. Haha!
I am absolutely exhausted and out of breath and fed up! Looking forward to 7 more weeks!

SerBrienneOfHouseTarth · 15/04/2020 23:50

@Zoey92 We're going for Cow & Gate because it's pretty much the same as Aptamil but cheaper! Also has a scoop clip and leveller in the lid and is available in the starter packs and ready to feed versions. Nutritionally all first infant milks meet the same requirements so for us it came down to cost & practicality!

SerBrienneOfHouseTarth · 15/04/2020 23:55

@Pegase I got the two pack rainbow pattern fitted sheets from Snuz which were £20 minus 10% off (so £18).
They sent me another 10% code - if anyone wants to try it it's NEXT10 :)

Zoey92 · 16/04/2020 02:03

@SerBrienneOfHouseTarth thanks for your reply.
its the only thing I've not bought everytime i go down the aisle i just end up staring at them all thinking "what the hell"😂🤦‍♀️

Magpiefeather · 16/04/2020 05:12

Just seen my hospital trust have introduced stricter measures, no birth partner allowed until in active labour and only allowed to stay 4 hours after the birth. I get that they have to put more restrictions in place, but To me the 4 hours seems like an arbritrary time frame... how is that going to help prevent the spread of the virus? Is that when you’d get transferred to post natal ward? Feeling a bit deflated by this news even though I knew it would come.

RPPs · 16/04/2020 06:51

@Magpiefeather I see this as a moving feast. I'd see things changing again in 3 weeks so don't woery too much right now.
@Firsttimerat35 I sacked my preg pillow a few weeks back. Found normal pillows much more comfortable. I put one along my back and one infront which I push lightly under the bump and also between my legs. It works much better for me. Regret spending £50 on the preg pillow.
@SerBrienneOfHouseTarth love thst you got my song joke. Re the dreams, my H and I have been quite nervous to have sex because we did just at the time we lost our last, aroubd 7 weeks in. I know it had nothing to do with it but it's not worth the risk. So i literally have naughty dreams every night, like Im obsessed or deprived ha ha. However, waking up in a pool of sweat actually means that your body has overheated and caused the nightmare. I used to get this all the time and an acupuncturist told me this. So maybe if you can keep your body cool in the night it may get rid of the nightmares.
@Rinoa thanks for the video.
Im completely clueless. First timer at 40. I found this video on YouTube and its one of 3 videos. i took loads of notes from it and would highly recommend. It seems a little dated but she gave some great tips.

RPPs · 16/04/2020 06:55

Soz I always write long posts.
Does anyone else wake in the night and need to crack their knuckles? This morning I can't fully make a fist and I have a bleeding nose.
Had a scan yesterday at 32 weeks and couldn't make anything out. But Bambino is breach. Not worried yet but I do hope the wee rascal flips in the next 5 weeks.

sarahlounich · 16/04/2020 07:22

@Missgemini i'm the same, his movements feel huge sometimes like he's flipping or completely changing position. He also pokes pointy bits out which can be really uncomfortable!

We're due date twins 👯‍♀️

We got given a snuzpod2 by my SIL so we got a new mattress and some sheets that fit from amazon - fit fine. Stars & Stripes 2 Pack Fitted Pram/Crib Sheets - Grey https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B014VXW3U6/ref=cmswwrcppapiii_RH.LEbKKMCYT5 and I also got the same sheets to fit our Moses basket for downstairs.

Is anyone planning on breast feeding and not taking any formula/ready made bottles to the hospital ? I feel that it will make me give up easier if it doesn't work easily first time.

On the pregnancy pillow convo...I love mine, find it really helps. But everyone's different and you've got to do what makes you comfy.

Gigitree · 16/04/2020 08:08

@sarahlounich yes I’m planning on breastfeeding and I’m not planning on taking any formula or anything to the hospital with me. I figure if we desperately need it the hospital will provide it.
We bought a 4 pack of the ready made up cow & gate formula to have on hand in case of a middle of the night emergency, but I will be leaving them at home.

Larrydavid · 16/04/2020 08:22

@Rinoa thanks for sharing this! I'm going to homerton 😊

AH16 · 16/04/2020 08:22

Hello all,

I'm new to this thread. I am 32 weeks and have found the last week, that when the baby moves it's very painful. It feels like the the baby doesnt have much room. Is this normal, has anyone else had this? Due on 10th June.

Millettmum · 16/04/2020 08:25

Hello everyone!
I am part of another thread but just seen this one so thought I would join in.
Officially due 2nd of July but because of my gestational diabetes they say I'll be induced 1/2 weeks early, but I am going to talk to the midwife to try insist not being induced if everything is going fine.
This is the first child between me and my husband, we have one each from previous relationships but unfortunately my daughter aged 13 passed away in January from cancer so finding it extremely hard to cope at the moment especially when I'm left on my own whilst husband still has to go out to work six days a week. Working from home at the moment because of the virus but all my appointments and scans (even the extra ones) are still happening which does ease my mind a little.
I am currently 29 weeks today, don't think I have anything really left to buy just a case of organising her room (yes we're having a girl!) but as this was my eldest daughters room it's proving a difficult task.

Sorry for the long one! Smile

Stephi89 · 16/04/2020 08:29

We have a wee facebook group for parents in scotland/ who are scottish if anybody is interested?its for all 2020, not a specific month but we are a friendly bunch

mrssunshinexxx · 16/04/2020 08:35

@Firsttimerat35 I genuinely would go as far as saying I feel great but I feel guilty for admitting that on here but I'm enjoying it and feel very lucky I appreciate this can still change 9 weeks to go.
I bought a queenie pregnancy pillow off amazon used it about 4 times and sold it I just sleep with a normal pillow under my tummy x

mrssunshinexxx · 16/04/2020 08:38

@Magpiefeather it completely baffles me too your partner could be there for 24 hours or more whilst in labour then if they can facilitate a side room for you why on earth can't they stay for a few hours more until discharge ?! I saw my midwife yesterday she said if I have a smooth labour I can discharge myself as soon as I feel able to and they will come and do the baby checks at home the next day

mrssunshinexxx · 16/04/2020 08:41

@Gigitree the milk you got do you literally just tip into sterilised bottle and warm up ? I really can't decide whether to get any formula or not I desperately want to BF but if this situation still carries on and baby is starving it's a lot trickier than usual for DH to pop to supermarket since we are both staying well away. On the other hand if I have it in the house will I cave and give up BF ?!

APD1981 · 16/04/2020 08:47

@Millettmum I am so sorry for the loss of your daughter. I cannot imagine what that must be like, never mind being pregnant with another one at the same time. I'm glad you have threads like this one where you can chat to people whilst being stuck at home on your own a lot. It's amazing how you've managed to do the baby's room, too. What mental strength you must have. Welcome to our lovely thread. Wish you lots of good health for the rest of your pregnancy. Please keep posting! X

@AH16 yes! Some of my movements are really painful. 2 weeks ago I went to triage with increased movements as baby did not stop rolling and vigorously kicking from 6am in the morning until the evening when I went. It kicked the right side of my bump so much it was bruised inside. I was put on a trace and baby's heart rate was high, but, crucially, was coming down to its baseline level when it stopped moving for a minute or so. I just have a very active baby, according to the midwife!
