Ok folks here is the new thread. I have put it into ante natal again for now, we can always start a new one in the post natal forum once we have all popped.

:D Could have used that for a thread title.... Once you pop you just can't stop

Congrats NH!!

Just popping in to say that I've added a picture of Paul to my profile in true proud mum fashion.

HammerHeadShark · 29/09/2007 07:51

Wow - spend a couple of days in a BF frenzy and ther are yummy babies everywhere!

NH - brilliant news, congratulations and thanks for coming to tell us, take care.

Mrs Bumblebee - Congrats on the arrival of little Paul, hope you are feeling better after your rather dramatic time, seems a bit unfair as you waited so patiently! Love the picture of Paul, he is beautiful, and looks very laid back and casual - where on earth did you find the time to sort out pics?

Floss - welcome to Isabelle, beautiful name and amazing weight, were your other DCs biguns?

TinaLC - welcome to your Isabelle too, hope you are recovering well.

Kyala - at last! Well done and welcome to Lucy May.

Thomcat - what a fabulous birth story - think you may win the prize for the "Perfect Labour" - has your little angel got a name yet? I have a three girl combo too and its top

Those of you still waiting deserve medals and a ton of chocolate for being so patient. Mrs Fish, Laksa, emj23, willjo, Yeti, ccpink - any babies yet? We are waiting for you on the post-natal thread which will not be "proper" until we are all over to the other side

Still enjoying having a teeny tot again, even though she is very greedy! Was very pleased that when she was weighed she hadn't lost any weight from when she was born - clever girl! It makes it worth being a milking machine.

Have a good one.

emj23 · 29/09/2007 12:24

I'm feeling so weird today. I don't think I'm about to go into labour, but I feel very odd. Strange pains in hips and stomach, and backache. Hope everyone else is still okay and not getting too impatient and climbing the walls.
I tried YET more curry and pineapple last night - at this rate the baby will emerge with spiky leaves growing out of her head!

I was wondering about the post-natal thread - seeing as how it seems unlikely this LO will not arrive either today or tomorrow, I assume it's still okay to join the Sept PN thread when she does arrive? I don't 'know' anyone on the October one really, and it would be nice to keep up with all of your news.

MrsFish · 29/09/2007 12:30

I feel the same today too. Was doing some ironing earlier and came over all dizzy and peculiar, bump is very uncomfortable with tightenings etc and I just feel really drained and tired today even though I had a relatively good night last night.

Of course you will be ok on the Sept PN thread even if you go to Oct. I am going to frequent both as I have been on both during most of this pregnancy

Chattyhan · 29/09/2007 19:29

NH - congratulations i'm so happy for you xx

Mrsfish, Emj hope things happen for you soon and i look forward to hearing all about it!

kinki · 30/09/2007 19:58

Things are quiet here today. I wonder does this mean things are happening for our ladies? .

Well, I reckon we'll have anouncements soon from Mrs F, emj and willjo. I'd put money on it. Anyone else due?

Good luck girls if things are happening for you. (Hang on in there if not.)

TinaLC · 30/09/2007 19:59

Kinki - you sound lovely so Kingston babies must rock!

Amyclaramum - was on high dependancy unit and then moved to Wocester ward - everyone was fab though. Hope that was your experience too

MrsFish · 30/09/2007 20:23

I'm still here

yetihed · 30/09/2007 21:11

Hi MrsFish! I'm still here too (bloody hell)!

Had some contractions after my sweep and a show- get very excited, then... nothing.

Since then I have had 2 curries, a tonne of pineapple and walked about 5000 miles. Not a flicker. Don't think I can do the sex thing- I look like a heffalump!

Still, you can but hope.

Induction on Wednesday so at least there's an end in sight.

40+7

emj23 · 30/09/2007 21:59

I'm still here too - major BH's all afternoon, backache, kept thinking maybe something was going to happen, but just more wishful thinking it seems.

40 weeks today.

Hello everyone still waiting. Commiserations, I hope things start to happen soon. I've been kind of out of the loop for a bit, been having feeding issues, but good luck, I'll keep coming back to see how you all are!

xx

MrsMar · 01/10/2007 19:07

ooh hello NH!!! That's great news, I hope everything goes well!!

MrsMar · 01/10/2007 19:11

OH and tons of congrats to those who've delivered while I've been away (can you tell my brain has gone on holiday?) I hope you're all enjoying settling in with your LOs!!

diddle · 01/10/2007 22:54

emj23 - i'm having the same, loads of contractions, backache, period pains, feel very uncomfortable. fingers crossed its early labour and is just taking its time.

diddle · 01/10/2007 22:56

what is pineapple supposed to do again???

just fnished a cup of rasp leaf tea, gross.

ccpink · 02/10/2007 02:19

hi all
emilia mcgirr arrived saturday morning 00:28 7lb 6 and absolutely perfect.
can recommend fresh chillies to get you started if still waiting. bit too nocturnal to catch up at mo but love to all
cc

MrsFish · 02/10/2007 07:59

Congrats ccpink

I thought things were going to kick off last night... I had backache and really strong BH's every ten mins for about two hours, but they stopped as soon as I lay down in bed

Diddle - a tip for the raspberry leaf tea... make it as normal but add some apple and blackcurrant squash to it, far more palatable

congratulations ccpink!!!!

best of luck to those still waiting....not long now

kinki · 02/10/2007 14:11

Hi ladies! Congratulations cc.

You are all sounding so calm and patient. (Patience has never been one of my finest qualities). Hopefully it won't be too much longer for you now. We want you to come and join us on the post-natal thread. It's not the same without you there! It's not a real thread until we are ALL on board.

emj23 · 03/10/2007 15:06

Another day, another pineapple.

Anyone else who's still waiting patiently, are your LO's going through a stage once a day of thrashing about madly to the point where it looks like your bump is about to erupt, or is it just me?
I feel like I'm noticing every little twinge and wondering if it means anything, whilst knowing deep down that it doesn't. If that makes any sense. I'm getting the impression that LO is now going to arrive next week. I have an appointment on Friday but I doubt the MW will do anything then, so I guess I'll have an appointment next week for a sweep or induction. I really hope labour starts on it's own though.

Anyway - if there's still anyone else around that hasn't popped yet, I hope you're okay, and of course all of you who have had your babies too. Hope to be seeing you on the PN thread soon!

40+3

MrsFish · 03/10/2007 16:09

Hi emj - I'm still here too got a mw appt tomorrow though and she is going to do me a sweep, so we shall see if it makes him appear before the weekend. Ben also has a mad thrashing about session of an evening usually starting around 8pm till about 10pm, and yes it feels like he is going to burst out of the skin. Saying that I haven't really felt him today yet... maybe its because I have been moving around non stop, I'm going to have a sit and relax now and see if he starts moving. Perhaps he has finally settled into position of launch mode

Hi MrsFish - Sorry if this sounds a bit heartless but I'm quite glad to see I'm not the only person left! Here's hoping that all of the 'Due Sept and still waiting' folk out there get their babies soon. My bump seems to have dropped a bit today, I keep getting badly headbutted in the bladder. Ouch.

laksa · 04/10/2007 09:06

Hi everyone,

Hope this is not too late...Baby Bella was born on the 28th sept at 10.25am in the water at home. Birth was about 12 hours long. We are so in love with her already. I suffered from a minor 1st degree tear which was good, not so good was the fact that my inner labia tore and couldn't be sewn so we shall have to wait and see how it heals and if I need surgery to reattach

Sorry not been on for a while, have had hands full with baby. Sorry for anyone still waiting for their babies, am sending birthing vibes over to you Mrs fish and the others!

Can I ask a question of anyone experienced as I have no idea about babies...I am breastfeeding but she will only take 10mins worth every 3 hours, is this enough? Also I read a book about routines from she who must not be named and am confused about times the baby is meant to be awake? She just sleeps after she feeds or is changed, what do you do with them to keep them awake at this age, ie 6 days?? Please someone give me some advice as I am feeling a little overwhelmed at the moment and don't know what to do the night before last she was feeding every 1 1/2 hours through the night but only for 5 mins at a time, then last night she went 3/4 hours and only fed for 10 mins at a time. I'm afraid my milk will dry up, also I can't seem to get her to burp and I spend ages doing it....

Sorry for this very self obsessed post but I am a bit down today and don't know who to turn to.

xx
