@Sunshine8888 congratulations lovely lady! What a lovely surprise to wake up too this morning, a little bit of sunshine on these dark days. She's beautiful and a cracking weight!!! Enjoy every single second of her 💓💓💓

Caspianberg · 06/04/2020 07:58

@Sunshine8888 - congratulations! I think we had the same due date.

Is anyone trying anything in particular to help with birth preparation? I have started taking Raspberry leaf tea and eating dates, both are supposed to help the cervix contract so help with the last stage of labour. If they don't help I figure no harm in trying. And is anyone doing Perineal massage?

CharlieB93 · 06/04/2020 09:05

@Sunshine8888 massive congratulations! What lovely news. Hope you are both well 💕

CharlieB93 · 06/04/2020 09:09

Anyone struggling sleeping? I’m so uncomfortable at night, I must have turned sides about 20 times last night. I’m exhausted constantly and still have another 4 weeks of work 😭😩

Lifesforlivingandloving · 06/04/2020 09:22

@Sunshine8888

woollycat · 06/04/2020 14:02

@Caspianberg I am planning to give perineal massage a go this weekend. Will see how it goes 🙈

woollycat · 06/04/2020 14:18

@Lifesforlivingandloving and @123Pandy girls please can you post any new info you get about appointments / birth policies from Queen Charlotte's in the coming weeks? My next appointment is in 2.5 weeks, I will also post anything I learn then.

MrsHouse92 · 06/04/2020 14:19

@Caspianberg I started doing the perineal massage a couple of weeks ago. It's super uncomfortable to find a good position to do it any I'm not sure if I'm even doing it right! 🙈

helpasisterout · 06/04/2020 14:31

@Sunshine8888 congratulations she's soo perfect! Keep safe xx

GinUnicorn · 06/04/2020 14:36

Moonstone12 · 06/04/2020 14:40

@sunshine8888 huge congratulations! I remember when you got pregnant all those months ago! You were due the day before me :)
She is absolutely beautiful btw xxx

facevalue · 06/04/2020 18:46

i'm struggling with pain on the left side of my bump. seems to ease if i lie down. makes me think it's stretching or ligaments rather than labour or braxton hicks but i'm so uncomfortable that i took paracetamol twice today and can't help putting my Dd to bed- i asked my hubby to do it

Purple29 · 06/04/2020 19:33

@november90 and @facevalue thanks. I'm doing ok, just going through the motions of expressing and spending time with him plus trying to eat and rest myself.

Hoping to get home by the end of april.

Hope your all keeping well.

Lifesforlivingandloving · 06/04/2020 19:36

@woollycat
They changed the rules again today
No partners allowed at any appointments
No partners for the induction part if your induced they can come back once your in established labour
They can only stay for 2 hours after the birth then they have to leave and cannot visit again until your discharged 😢

woollycat · 06/04/2020 19:48

@Lifesforlivingandloving thanks for the info. That's annoying - but at least they can be there through established labour and birth

Reds2007 · 06/04/2020 20:30

@Sunshine8888 congratulations!! 💕
