Sorry x-posts there splishsplosh - am sorry to hear that. What kind of bleeding was it? How are you feeling?

OP posts:
splishsplosh · 20/09/2007 18:47

discharge browny read, then when wiped (sorry tmi) brighter red. Not loads, but enough to be a worry, esp with the periody pain. Back aches a bit though that could be humping dd around, and walked long way pushing buggy at top speed up hill. So dunno.

Despite by doubts about having a second baby, am feeling quite tearful. Crazy, eh

Good to hear everyone else's good news though

EllieG · 20/09/2007 18:59

Not crazy at all, there isn't a rule book for feelings. Put your feet up if you can, or if you can't now do it when the LO is sorted and try and relax (if possible). Maybe get checked out by the doc tomorrow? Have you got someone nice in RL can come be with you this evening to talk to?
Thinking of you x

splishsplosh -- just put your feet up and look after yourself for a bit.

Ellie -- yes, it's just the keeping-the-same-due-date but being a different number of weeks and days from what I thought that is confusing me. They haven't even done a scan yet, but using the same LMP date that the GP had came up with the same due date (which is what I expected) but apparently that date makes me 12+2, not 11+6 like I thought.

frankerooney · 20/09/2007 20:28

Lemonaid, I would have thought they've kept the same date for now because they don't consider it an official due date anyway. They didn't fill in the box in my green book until the scan measurement.

I'm sure mine's been wrongly calculated though and will query it with the midwife when I see her in a few weeks. If I'm right, edd will be 1 April. Would you want to go to someone's birthday party on April fool's day? Not I! Anyway I read that only something like 5 per cent of babies are born on their due date. I'm just concerned that if my date isn't put right and I go 2 weeks past due date, they still wouldn't induce or anything for another 4 days, and the baby can start to suffer. At least it's my 2nd baby and according to my GP, second babies "just fall out"!!

Thelittlesoldiersmummy · 20/09/2007 21:20

splishsplosh I do hope all is ok My mum said that when she was having me she had the same and her doc told her to rest up with a glass of red wine for some reason it can really have you called the doctor I know when this happened to me a few weeks ago I was in a terrible state even now after seeing all was ok in the scan I still wipe looking for a tint of pink {{{{hug}}}}}

KnitterInTheNW · 20/09/2007 21:34

I had some bleeding last night too, didn't have any pains or anything and now I've just got a bit of staining. The doc hs arranged a scan for monday morning just to check that everything's still ok. He said that waiting til monday isn't ideal, but that if something's going to go wrong, it'll go wrong anyway. Thanks, doc!

I think it might be down to the fact that I've got thrush... my pg book says that because during pg your cervix is softer, getting a mild infection like thrush can make your cervix bleed. nice. But it'll be good to just see that it's all ok. DH can't come on monday with me so my mum & dad are coming from leicester to come with me, I don't want to be on my own!

TheMaskedPoster · 21/09/2007 08:33

goodness me - CONGRATS modsaluk! how exciting

good news too V1KK1M, I can't wait til Tuesday and my scan.

Hormones seem to be calming down a little bit and I'm not quite so much the monster that I was the last few weeks, but still, I have my moments.

KnitterintheNW and Splishsplosh put your feet up and try and relax for the next few days (sometimes A LOT harder to do than say, I know) and take care.

Well, off to resume my role as dds slave

take care girls x

modsaluk · 21/09/2007 09:35

Thank you all for your messages.

I am now starting to get used to the fact, very worried about the pratical things.

I think i have to leave you all too, at my scan they have now given me 28th March EDD. So will pop on to the March thread.

I hope you all have very enjoyable pregnancies and lovely little flowers blossom in the April.

I have loved chatting with you and will miss you all.

Love Sally xxx

muddyboots · 21/09/2007 09:37

Hadn't posted for a week or two and then have put this moment off for a few more days, but the time has come to delete my name from the list.

Despite seeing a heartbeat on the scan at 7 weeks, it now seems that little beanies heart stopped a few days after that. Had a scan last week and realised it has all gone wrong for us again. (Had a similar experience in December)

Booked in at the hospital this Sunday for the 'medical management' option if nothing happens beforehand.

Feeling pretty devastated by it all, but stronger than I thought I'd be. Hope this post doesn't worry anyone(!) we have been incredibly unlucky. Anyway, my very best and most sincere wishes go to all of you. I'll keep a silent watch on this thread and hope that you all have beautiful, healthy babies.
Keep yourselves safe.

x

Muddyboots, so sorry!

Thelittlesoldiersmummy · 21/09/2007 09:52

Muddyboots {{{{hugs}}}}} I am so sorry x

modsaluk good luck with the twins will be watching out for you x

Lorayn · 21/09/2007 10:08

Muddyboots, my heart goes out to you xxxxx

loisstella · 21/09/2007 10:17

I'm haviong a terrible time.
I got home late last nigth, tired. Decided to make my favourite sandwich.... mayonaise (don't worry the supermarket stuff, nothing with raw eggs) and tomato.
Then I noticed I had a big bag of Doritos in the cupboard and had most of them... with mayonaise too.
Felt awful after that. DH thoguht it was hilarious as he thought it was typical pregnancy craving. But I didn't feel pregnant just disgusted with myself.

Then went to bed - had an awful dream that I got drunk and killed the baby and then when DH woke up started crying because I suddenly missed my nan (who dies 15! years ago).
I am not feeling pregnant - just miserable and very sorry for myself....

Lorayn · 21/09/2007 10:44

Awww loistella I had a dream last night that I caught dp cheating on me, and that when I confronted him he was really calm about it saying 'ah, it was only sex'(nothing like him in rl btw!!) and then I found out he had taken this girl to look at a new house we were going to move to and all sorts of weird stuff. I woke up crying and everything.
As for eating, I tried to eat some food last night, everyone else was eating sausage and chips, it looked so tasty that I made myself a chip butty and then a sausage one, but it made me sooo ill, I hadn't even tried to eat for two days before hand, I wish I hadn't last night now cos I feel really awful this morning, I have drank about half a can of sprite and cant even keep that down
I was hoping this would start to go now as I'm 12 weeks on monday but seems to be getting worse.

splishsplosh · 21/09/2007 11:00

sorry muddyboots to hear your news, and good luck in the future x

saw the gp this morning, and he's faxed off to the epu for a scan, told me if the hospital haven't rung me by 4pm Monday, let them know... there was me thinking I'd be able to get checked out today and find out one way or another.

The bleeding seems to have settled down, there hasn't been much, so hopefully all is ok. But I find it difficult to believe. Especially with the lack of symptoms thing. Oh well, dr said to take it easy over the next few days, not sure if dd will go along with that. And since dp seems to lack all understanding (when I told him I was bleeding he said what a shame I was looking forward to another child, then 2 mins later asked if I was off to the gym) am not expecting much help from him.

Sorry for moaning

EllieG · 21/09/2007 11:19

It's fine to moan here, that's what we're here for. Make sure you keep talking to us OK? Am thinking of you x

Loisstella - sorry you are feeling miserable. Try not to worry about weird eating, it ain't the end of the world. And mood swings will pass - hormones make me feel quite shit tbh most of the time at the moment, but I try and concentrate on that magic 2nd trimester when they might level out a bit...don't beat youself up hon xxx

muddyboots - so sorry to hear your sad news

OP posts:
sagitta · 21/09/2007 11:29

Hi Splishsplosh - I think the thread is for moaning as well as chatting! Sorry to hear about your troubles - I hope it goes well on Monday.

Muddyboots - so sorry to hear your news.

And Ellie G - thanks for the link - very helpful. Sorry to hear you are miserable too - I hope things are looking perkier. For a good laugh go to Mumsnet classics :What Not to Do - the stupidity thread . It helped me.

I still haven't adjusted very well to all this yet - and then someone I barely know patted my stomach at a work do yesterday and said congratulations. I didn't know it showed, and I was so upset I told her I was just fat. She looked so humiliated I had to tell the truth - but for some reason its upset me no end. Stupid. I hate the tummy patting thing - especially when I really don't want to talk about the being pg.

Soph73 · 21/09/2007 11:32

loisstella - {{big hug}} I´m just eating everything in sight & feel rotten too. In one way I wish food made me feel sick but am pleased it doesn´t if that makes sense.

splishsplosh - have a good moan, it helps Try to relax as much as poss although I know that´s easier said than done!

EllieG · 21/09/2007 11:33

sagitta - someone did that to me the other day and I wanted to slap her. People are suprisingly inconsiderate, and rather rude at times. I try to stay away from them.

OP posts:
Soph73 · 21/09/2007 11:35

sagitta - Hi there. I hate it when people pat my stomach too unless they´re family or really close friends. I mean you wouldn´t pat someones head if they´ve just had their hair cut would you? Why do people feel the need to touch you all the time when you're pregnant?

Lorayn · 21/09/2007 11:39

I dont think anyone dare go near my stomach, I'm either crying or vomiting!!

Soph73 · 21/09/2007 11:41

Lorayn - Can you come over here and put some people off for me

Soph73 · 21/09/2007 11:41

Lorayn - then again, thinking about it, I suppose you probably don´t feel up to flying anywhere do you?
