sagitta - I've been feeling rubbish recently. Someone posted a link re ante-natal depression for me and was really useful - I started one about feeling rubbish and has been really helpful for me - see here www.mumsnet.com/Talk/49/389394?stamp=070918104133

Will be OK when the hormones settle. If it carries on talk to your GP maybe?

loisstella - I did that the other day & like lemonaid I´m propping pillows everywhere as well. DH is desperately trying to keep a toehold on the mattress sagitta - just thought I´d say hi, nice to hear from you again, hope the thread helps

Hello everybody - my boss is now back at work, and I don't get the chance as often to come on and look to see how we're all doing - I hope you're all hanging on in there.

I have my first scan at the end of this week, on Friday. I'm already starting to get worried about it, and am snapping at people. Fingers crossed everything will be OK. Am also still trying to persuade dh to come along too, but he's claiming work commitments (even though he's working from home that day!)

It's good to find out that there was light at the end of the tunnel with the ms and nausea. I am now starting to feel normal again - so all those still suffering, hang on in there!

take care y'all - and looking forward to hearing more of your experiences with your 12 week scans.

I am embarrassed by the amount have eaten today. Have officially eaten all the pies. And the cakes and the biscuits and the chocolate. Oink.

splishsplosh · 18/09/2007 19:56

Yesterday my dinner consisted of toblerone, crisps and garlic bread. Have rustled up a big lentil and vegetable sauce thing today though to assuage my guilt at my appalling diet.

I have my first midwife appointment on Saturday, but still haven't got a scan date. Feel so un-pregnant still, though had a few period pain twinges yesterday and today.

Met some local mumsnetters yesterday which was good fun

Lorayn · 18/09/2007 21:05

ha, todays diet has consisted of a packet of salt and vinegar french fries (threatening to come back up as we speak) and 3 cans of coke.
Sooooooooooooooooo healthy.

scorpio1 · 19/09/2007 09:44

Hi everyone

I still haven't had a scan date through, im 10+5 today. Think i will ring my MW on friday if i dont have it by then, because then i will be 11 weeks.

I seem to be able to eat as normally as before, apart from i want milk and peanut butter. Not together though!!

We are having a new kitchen and bathroom fitted, we are living out of our front room!

My DS1 is not settling into his new class well at all. he has cried 2 days this week when i have left him. He was always fine before though....

So, back to uni tomorrow. i feel really weird about telling them im pg.think they might think im stupid or something because im so young and trying to get my degree? i don't care though, i love my baby and am so chuffed!

My (small) boobs have grown an ickle bit now, yay!! im still very tired but feel im coming out of the tunnel IYSWIM?

Hope all is well ?

Soph73 · 19/09/2007 11:15

Morning all! Hi scorpio {{big wave}} Sorry to hear about DS, I´m sure he´ll be fine once he gets used to it. Don´t worry about what Uni think, like you say you´re well chuffed Do you want my boobs (40D already & only 9+5)?

Soph73 · 19/09/2007 11:17

Nothing tastes of anything for me at the mo which is horrible and I´m breaking out in spots - but that´s probably all the junk food I´m eating

Lorayn · 19/09/2007 11:21

Ha, soph, do you feel like you're suffocating when you lay on your back??
(now a 38DD at 11 weeks)

Soph73 · 19/09/2007 11:23

Lorayn - LOL It´s really annoying DH as they´re still too sore to touch and he´d love to get his mits on them

loisstella · 19/09/2007 11:36

you think you got big ones???? I've grown to a 38G!!!!!!!!!

Lorayn · 19/09/2007 11:40

haha that is sooo true soph, for some reason my eyes (which used to be DP's fave part) don't seem to get a look in anymore, I think he has a crooked neck or something, cant keep his head up straight.
loistella BLOODY HELL

lemonaid · 19/09/2007 12:17

Mine only grew one cup size when pregnant with DS -- admittedly they haven't gone down, but they haven't got any bigger this time either.

Had a slightly paranoid go with a doppler today but don't think I found a heartbeat. Which I know is perfectly normal, as I have some (ahem) extra padding and it all depends on where baby and placenta are, etc., and I'm only 11+5, etc., etc., etc. But I'd really like some reassurance before Monday's scan...

Daftmoo · 19/09/2007 12:35

I'm a 38e now, normally a 36dd so not much change, dp thinks they are fantastic but they are still achy so he's having no fun at all.

I've got a diabetic maternity assessment appt this afternoon....they are soooo boring, I wait hours to have my blood pressure and wee wee checked then I see a doctor who tells me everything I already knew....yawn. I've got this every two weeks until baby arrives, it's costing me a fortune to park at the hospital.

I've just eaten a beef paste sarnie, I havent had paste since I was a child, but I really fancied it...and gawddd it was yummy

My spots are still really bad, does anyone have a miracle cure??? please ????

I'm drinking gaviscon like I'm addicted, it's sooooo good, I cant stand the stuff normally.

Hope everyone is well

x

EllieG · 19/09/2007 12:37

I think doplers might be the work of the devil. Sounds lovely, but there are so many paranoid posters on MN about not finding heartbeats. Sure your LO is fine and wiggling away loads x

Last night I ate my own weight in dairy milk and have just had 3 bits of cake for my lunch. I NEVER eat like this. What's happened to me? I was always so healthy!

OP posts:
EllieG · 19/09/2007 12:38

I have a spot beard and fringe. Am wearing hair all over face to disguise. Boobs are bigger but all trussed up in nasty non-underwired bras that look like hammocks.

OP posts:
lemonaid · 19/09/2007 12:41

I know, I know. I only have the rotten thing because I used it in the second trimester last time (didn't even try until around 14 weeks then) before I started to feel movements and it made me feel a lot better. So it was there, and calling to me...

EllieG · 19/09/2007 12:45

Resist! Put it away in a cupboard and forget about it until baby is bigger (naggy emoticon)

OP posts:
lemonaid · 19/09/2007 12:49

It was happily loitering under the bed until this morning. I always said that tidying was unnatural and would come to no good...

EllieG · 19/09/2007 12:54

Ooo no, nothing good ever came out of tidying up. You just stop doing that right now young lady and sit down with a nice cuppa instead.

Lorayn · 19/09/2007 13:18

Ugh, my gas has stopped working so am having to wait in for an engineer, was hoping to get to the docs this afternoon about my sickness, I felt awful yesterday afternoon when going to collect DD and thought I was going to collapse at the school I NEED SOME ENERGY!!

Soph73 · 19/09/2007 13:43

Norks alive loisstella. Don't feel so bad after all lemonaid - like EllieG said stop that tidying immediately {{stern frown}} EllieG - told DH that he could use horrid maternity bras for hanging baskets once I´d finished with them

RachelPross · 19/09/2007 14:05

Hello all, just joining you from the due in Marhc thread following my "12" week scan which informs me that I'm 11 weeks and due April 13th not March 30th as we previously thought.

RachelPross · 19/09/2007 14:09

Miracle cure for the spots.....Freederm gel. When I got married I was about 15 weeks pregnant with DD 1 (wedding had been planned for months...DD just a happy coincidence) anyway I had the spot problem and consulted the chemist who checked alltheir books to see if it was OK for use during pregnancy...and it is. Amazing stuff but quite expensive, only over the counter but worth every penny!!!! I assure you
