I got my BFP on Tuesday the 28th and am feeling pretty symptom free today (so obviously panicking that it's all going wrong! 😣). 7 week scan due to be Tuesday the 18th and it feels like a long way away with symptoms going awol! 😥 POAS this morning and it looks spot on for where I should be, so trying to take some comfort from that 🤞🤞🤞

It's really difficult to be positive with two MCs in two days, but I think we have our first scan today?! @Littlelot - hope everything goes well and you have (or had) a very joyful experience

@Wimbledon1 i know it is and i feel so incredibly grateful i am still here although early our 2nd beta had doubled.

Thank you @Wimbledon1 - just got back from scan and absolutely perfect - baby and heartbeat seen. Feel a little bit in shock as had prepared for the worst! Told the lady when I went in about the MMC last time and she very quickly found and showed me baby and heartbeat before doing any of the official measurements. She may have also printed us a couple of photos without charging when I started crying.

Official due date 6th October. Xx

@Littlelot ohh wow such a great news 😀. I can't imagine that feeling seeing your baby for the first time and hearing the heartbeat 💗 lucky you and good luck for the official countdown to 6th October. 🥰🤪

@twinkleyes35 that’s based on the nhs computer when they entered all the info and then baby measured exactly for that date so I figure they know best! I’d done an online one that was for ivf and that had put me further along so I was a bit surprised.

@BambiOnIce80 and @MrsLouB thank you. Starting to let myself be excited now! It seemed so unreal seeing the little one on the screen as a discernible shape. 🥰

Thank you everyone! Hope it helps people to feel a bit more optimistic.

Also if it helps with working out dates as the online calculator was out by 5 days for me. I had a 5 day embryo transferred on 14th January (4weeks 2days ago) and was dated as 6+2 today - which was what the computer calculated when she entered all the info. due date 6th October. I was surprised as I thought they’d add 5 days as the embryo was 5days when it was transplanted but I’m going to trust the experts here.

Has anyone got acne coming through? My skin has been clear until a few days ago and it has just erupted! Not fun! 🤨

We should indeed be having our scan on Tuesday @Wimbledon1 🤞 Had a bit of a gush this afternoon (😳), but thankfully it was that leucorrhea thing again 😪 Will be glad to see what's going on in there on Tuesday 👀 Think @Viletta has her scan this Saturday though, so looking forward to hearing all about that first 😊

Interesting that they've calculated your due date as the 6th @Littlelot - that's what the online IVF calculator put mine at, so think I'd best expect a different date on Tuesday! I transferred on the 19th, so logically should be due a few days after you 🤔

No acne here @FlapJackered, but the skin on my face is flaking off instead! 🙄 It started with my chin whilst I was on the progesterone (pre-BFP) and I got it under control by putting serum under my moisturiser, but now the skin on my cheeks and around my nose is joining in too! 😕 It also seems like my hands and my calves are starting in on the action as well ... I've never had a problem with dry skin before 🤷‍♀️ Might ask the clinic on Tuesday if they've got any suggestions about the best products to use to deal with it 🤔

Well, happy valentines day to you all for tomorrow 💕 DP and I are away in the arse end of nowhere with no mobile signal (but complimentary WiFi at the hotel 😉) and I'm loving the idea of being unavailable by phone - no intrusions! 😊 I hope everyone has a love filled day tomorrow, whatever it is that you're doing 🥰

@BambiOnIce80 this sounds like a dream valentine's! Have an amazing time. My transfer was on the 17th (6d embie) and my online calculator due date is 4 October. I wonder if they tell us otherwise on Saturday but I don't think plus minus a couple of days would make a difference. I like the date of 4 October though 😂

@FlapJackered My skin is fine at the moment, I had two days last week where my forehead and my scalp went super oily. I hear dry skin is a very common this for pregnant ladies. Stay hydrated and use lots of good organic moisturizer. I heard Weleda is great! Both oils and creams.

I was reading an article about bilingual children and how to raise one. My mother tongue is not English and I would really like my kids to be able to speak it and be connected with my side of the family. The best method apparently is One parent One language meaning I would have to speak my mother tongue with the child all of the time. I feel that with current political situation I prefer to blend in when I'm outside and I don't speak my language even when walking the dog. I speak to her In English when outside 😂 Am I being unreasonable?

@BambiOnIce80 is your family or in laws from Italy? Have you though about bilinguism?

Yep, we're thinking about the same thing @Viletta - I've made it DP's first piece of homework to read up on how to raise a bilingual child 😉 I'd read the same as you though that each parent speaks to the bambino in their mother-tongue. A friend tried that with German and her LO was making no sense with hybrid German/English sentences 😬 I don't think it'll be plain sailing, but so, so worth it 👍

I know what you mean about the political climate as well 😔 DP has been shouted at in the street (by kids! 😕) to "go back to where he came from" because he was speaking Italian to a friend, so bit worried about making our LO a target if they can speak another language 😟 Not going to let gigotry stop us though, of course ✊
