Graduate thread for all the amazing ladies who have endured infertility and are hopefully now starting a new chapter🤞

@Littlelot @Viletta @candycornlover @FlapJackered @Wimbledon1

I got my BFP on Tuesday the 28th and am feeling pretty symptom free today (so obviously panicking that it's all going wrong! 😣). 7 week scan due to be Tuesday the 18th and it feels like a long way away with symptoms going awol! 😥 POAS this morning and it looks spot on for where I should be, so trying to take some comfort from that 🤞🤞🤞

Congratulations @DobbieFreeElf ❤️❤️❤️
I get my Ultrogestan from glamorous Asda for £21 per box x

MrsLouB · 18/02/2020 05:45

@Viletta sorry for the late update but congratulations amazing scan picture so glad all went well and you relax a little more now.

@wimbledon1 lol you sound like me i had a small bout of nausea but then nothing if anything i feel like AF is about to start with cramping and back pain to the point o called the clinic but there is nothing they can do until my scan next week.

MrsLouB · 18/02/2020 05:53

@BambiOnIce80 congratulations i think the pains are normal i have has them on and off since before my bfp and now but ive had early mcs so it is a worry but sure all normal x
@DobbieFreeElf congratulations and welcome my clinic have said i only need to be on cycolgest and the hrt patches (estrodel) until 10weeks but they use stork which costs around 45 delivery but thats the same as a private prescription for me. I got similar prices from stork as i did from asda when i did the prices check.

FlapJackered · 18/02/2020 06:01

Good luck with your scan today!@BambiOnIce80 😁 🤞 keeping everything crossed for you! X

DobbieFreeElf · 18/02/2020 07:00

Thanks for your advice everyone! I’m glad you said that @FlapJackered I was going to go for the easy option but if I can get it cheaper elsewhere I think I might just ask for the prescription!

Sounds like Asda are cheapest @QuantumGirl, do you pre order or just take the prescription to one with a pharmacy? Our nearest Asda is at least 45 mins away so I’d probably want to check they have it before trekking over!

Good luck @BambiOnIce80 x

MrsLouB · 18/02/2020 07:39

@BambiOnIce80 Good luck for today x

Chooklass · 18/02/2020 07:40

Good luck today @BambiOnIce80 - I’ll be thinking of you!

Only 8 days til my scan now - suddenly doesn’t feel quite so distant!

QuantumGirl · 18/02/2020 08:03

@DobbieFreeElf definitely call first to check if they have in stock and if not they can order in for you. My clinic doesn't charge for prescription thankfully but if yours does then you need to make sure if Asda will be the cheapest option as 45 minutes away is quite a journey 😣

@BambiOnIce80 good luck today lovely. Sending positive vibes your way ❤️

Wimbledon1 · 18/02/2020 08:37

Yes happy scan day @BambiOnIce80! Hope it all goes well, keep us posted!

Congratulations on joining us @rainbow178. And also @DobbieFreeElf - I don't think we overlapped on the TWW thread but I had popped back over once or twice and thought you had the best username ever!

@MrsLouB sorry to hear you are feeling anxious too. It's hard isn't it - although this is my first pregnancy so your previous experiences of early MCs I can't claim to have had (touches wood). Sending all positive vibes to you for this one being the one. At least we have the scans coming up rather than having to wait until 12 weeks to find anything out. I'd have gone mad by then! 😂

MrsLouB · 18/02/2020 09:21

thanks @Wimbledon1 i know ive never got to far in really so praying to get to the scan and see the little bean!

I dont know how i will cope having to wait from 6 to 12 let alone anything else x Sending sticky vibes to you and everyone else too.

twinkleyes35 · 18/02/2020 09:25

Good luck for your scans @BambiOnIce80 🤞🤞☺️☘️x

Lily999 · 18/02/2020 09:30

Thinking of you @BambiOnIce80 good luck today!

Lily999 · 18/02/2020 09:36

First morning without progesterone and I am freaking out. Checking it every our and if I see any spotting, anything at all I will rush to the doctors demanding progesterone as I tell them I went cold turkey :)

MrsLouB · 18/02/2020 10:02

@Lily999 what stage are you at now they are making you stop ?

But i know when they have me stop i will be thinking the same thing x

Lily999 · 18/02/2020 10:33

@mrsloub 5weeks tomorrow. They say I don't need more progesterone (also @BambiOnIce80 confirmed it's the case) so I am trying to "trust my body", it's just so difficult as I feel everything is so fragile at the moment...

QuantumGirl · 18/02/2020 11:54

@Lily999 was it a natural cycle ivf?

Lily999 · 18/02/2020 12:08

Hi @QuantumGirl yes, short protocol, started on CD3 in January and followed my cycle, had EC on CD14 and transfer 5days later on CD19, tested 2weeks later and here I am :)

Chooklass · 18/02/2020 12:21

@Lily999 - it is scary! I have been off the progesterone 13 days now (since 4wks) and it gets easier but I’m still expecting to start spotting any day! I am loving being medication-free again after all the IVF drugs though 😊.

Lily999 · 18/02/2020 12:38

That is the only thing I am looking forward to @chooklass :). I think with going through IVF we let meds take control and then when they stop we just naturally feel anxious about it.

can't believe we are still here though on the third thread having the IVF, the 2WW and now this, feels soo nice and I am extremely grateful for it. I am 2weeks behind @BambiOnIce80 and 1week behind you, still 15 sleeps until the 7week scan, but days somewhat don't seem to drag now for some reason (could be the sunshine..?).

I figured out a new way of looking at things as I felt in a bit of a limbo with having the BFP, but not the scan, so is it real, is it just a chemical? So decided to look at it in a way that so far everything is as good as it can be. I am having the symptoms, found a bag of old cheap internet HPT's and took one this morning, it was still positive, so things could not look better at this point = nothing to worry about for now.

Viletta · 18/02/2020 13:01

I am so looking forward to stopping taking my meds:)

Lily999 · 18/02/2020 13:05

I totally understand @viletta and that's why I am having mixed feelings as well, hope it will pass soon :)
Anyone using Ovia? I am loving these little daily updates, something to look forward to every morning.

Chooklass · 18/02/2020 13:24

Also, @Lily999 worth remembering that even if we do start spotting - it seems to be very common in pregnancy and no cause for concern. (Not saying I wouldn’t freak out initially though!). Loving your positivity 😍

QuantumGirl · 18/02/2020 13:49

Thanks @Lily999. Just downloaded Ovia. It's so cute 😍

Lily999 · 18/02/2020 14:08

Try and keep that in mind @Chooklass, thanks ;)
@QuantumGirl glad you like it, makes my insomnia a bit more bearable as every morning around 4am I get an update to see what's new with my embie :) Hope this 1.5 hour I spend awake every night will go away now that progesterone gel is a thing of the past..?

BambiOnIce80 · 18/02/2020 14:38

Ladies thank you so much for all your positive vibes 💓 🥰 It's been a busy little morning, but finally got time to sit still and update you all 👍 As you can see from the pic, we're in the 'so far, so good' category 😪 Sooooo relieved to see that little flicker of the heartbeat 😍 DP even shed a couple of tears, which was surprising (but lovely! 😊). He's currently working on a list of boy and girl names... I'll be reigning him in shortly! 😉 The nice thing about the scan was that the consultant was the same one that did our ET and she was so genuinely chuffed for us - it was quite touching 🥺 Oh, and @Lily999 it turns out that my little lower right-sided ache isn't anything to do with the bambino because it's implanted on the left of my uterus! 😳 The doc said I've got a cyst on my right ovary (perfectly normal after all the meds we've been on for a fresh cycle), so that's probably what my dull ache has been... which means I've hardly had any genuine cramping really! 🤷‍♀️

There was one sad bit today - I don't want to worry anyone, but you guys really are the only one's who'll understand 😔 The lady who was in the bed next to me for ET was there with her OH today, so looked like she'd got her BFP too (🎉). She went in before us, looking all optimistic - then they came out 20 minutes later looking really worried and having to wait a bit longer before they were called back in... I wanted to cry I was so worried for them and I don't even really know what was going on! 😟 It's still such a roller-coaster, but I'm hoping we'll all have more ups than downs 🤞🤞🤞
