@Roxy8203 at least we are in Feb now!! Not long. There will be so much more to see by then too.
I’m a little nervous but excited at the same time. My partner is so positive so lightens the mood! I’m just so pessimistic and I can’t seem to shake it!! 🙈

Roxy8203 · 03/02/2020 12:35

@ShiningStarz I know, they grow so much in the next 3 weeks so really looking forward to that. My other half is being positive but still cautious, last time he was really worried and then the worst happened so I've told him he can't be like that this time, we have to try and stay positive even tho we are both very nervous. I did have a bad dream about the pregnancy on Saturday which wasn't great but that just the mind playing tricks

anotherypasswordtoremember · 03/02/2020 13:40

Talking of bad dreams, is anyone else having loads of them lately? I'm not managing to sleep much when I do I'm having really terrifying dreams. Last night was a silent cloaked figure that wanted something from me. I never usually have bad dreams.
Another hormonal treat perhaps?

Roxy8203 · 03/02/2020 14:10

@anotherypasswordtoremember that sounds scary, I've only had that one on Saturday but that was about losing the pregnancy so obviously just a subconscious dream. I had more dreams than usual a few weeks ago but that seems to have stopped now

emma278 · 03/02/2020 15:21

Measuring 8+3 and good strong heartbeat (not that I could see it proper rachel from friends moment!!). So so relieved. Still doesnt feel real!!! Xx

Thanks everyone!

Everyone talked about January dragging but February is going to be a loooooong month! I have another scan next week which is nice to at least break things up. I'm lucky as getting it on NHS but only because last time we had such an awful experience, not just because we got bad news but also the sonographer was so unprofessional. I ended up making a PALS complaint and to be fair this time the hospital are being great. I think they think I'm a bit of a diva but I just want the sonographer to know that we have had 2 horrible 12 week scans, 1 with DS who was fine in the end but we got terrible odds for all 3 trisonomies and it was such a shock. And then last time it was even worse, I just want someone to know in advance how terrified I am and why and to acknowledge that. I know scans are for medical tests but overall most people do have a nice experience at the 12 week scan and ours have always been scary and sad.

Anyway sorry for the rant! I don't want to scare anyone, I think we have been very unlucky and I do feel so lucky that DS is ok. Not sure how I'm going to stay sane over the next 3 weeks 🙈.

Seahawk80 · 03/02/2020 15:43

rhia22 · 03/02/2020 23:06

Hi! I am 6+3 and my due date is my birthday (25th sept) it’s all come as a surprise and i had the coil in! Baby is fine now it’s out just waiting on my parter to come round (we are 22 without jobs or a house or anything haha!)

OrDis · 04/02/2020 12:09

Just to update i’ve had my scan and all is well! Baby blob (as i’ve decided to call it as it looks like a blob on the photo) is measuring bang on 7+1 and has a little heartbeat! I have a corpus luteum cyst which could explain the bleeding. So relieved!!

Bubski2020 · 04/02/2020 12:16

Hi Ladies,
Congrats to all - Im 8 weeks in, feeling rubbish - does the nausea ever stop. I haven't been sick but just the constant feeling of it ready to erupt.

Its my 3rd pregnancy - older two are 7 & 9

Counting down till week 12 where I hope I return to normal!

Anyone here from Ireland?

Seahawk80 · 04/02/2020 12:48

ShiningStarz · 04/02/2020 15:40

Welcome @rhia22 super shock for you!! My sister got preg on the pill!!!

Sunshinexx95 · 04/02/2020 17:51

Hi everyone, I hope everyone is ok
I just got news from my midwife about the blood test she took. I have overactive thyroid so she is worried... I am worried now too.. gonna redo the test for the 3rd time 13th . Anyone who has experience with being pregnant and overactive thyroid? ... :(

ChipsAreLife · 04/02/2020 19:01

Sorry been so busy I haven't had chance to get on much. But quick note to @ShiningStarz my sister has Graves and it didn't really bother her in her pregnancies. She did have the misfortune of having HG both times do think that took the focus off! Her Graves was treated with medication and she was fine. Think they're pretty on it so you should be looked after x

Had midwife today, booking in appointment. She was lovely and no student midwife this time which was nice, I got to ask a lot more and chat about stuff.

My blood pressure is low apparently, which explains the episodes of blacking out last week. Bit annoyed that GP didn't notice that on Friday, but whatever.

I also scored a bit high on the old carbon monoxide in my lungs! Not smoked in...blimey 13 years but it's apparently common in cyclists and I cycle commute through a city. Currently researching those funny masks!

ShiningStarz · 05/02/2020 13:54

Morning all, had a scan this morning. Measuring 8w 2d. All was fine. Saw and heard the heartbeat and crazy how much the little grew in the last 2 weeks! Next one is in ; weeks! Bit of a wait now!!

anotherypasswordtoremember · 05/02/2020 14:24

@shiningstarz, yey congratulations!! me too!
I got packed off to the EPU by the midwife because I was having a lot of pain in one spot over a number of days. Was a 3 hour wait in the EPU (lots of people unfortunately having very bad news) but finally saw my bean! Genuinely thought I was going to get back news. I had a miscarriage last year and that feeling never really leaves. It was the same sonographer and she was lovely again, just a really nice lady.

I'm measuring 7+6 but I should be about 8+3. I'm not massively worried about that though, I was really ill with a virus last week so that may have slowed things down a bit. I don't know.

Dipsy77 · 05/02/2020 14:46

@anotherypasswordtoremember I got told that at this early stage it's really hard for the sonography to be accurate so you can give or take 5 days either side. I had a scan when I was last pregnant I thought I was 6.5 week the sonography said 5.5 week but when I had my 12 week scan they added on a week so I was right initially x
