@Lazydaisydaydream hugs for you. Hope you get to see the consultant soon.

@sianyflewog snap due date buddy!!

Lilice · 16/04/2020 08:47

@CNovittBolden we've got the same due date Smile

I also hope we'll have a bit of normality before giving birth. My family lives in France, it's where I'm from. They were supposed to come see me next month before I also travel there for a week to see the rest. I really hope I'll get to see them before September but deep down I really doubt it Sad

DaffyTaffy24 · 16/04/2020 09:34

Morning @ShiningStarz !

Have you had the raised eyebrows too from people over the due date? 🤦‍♀️

Honestly might tell a white lie and change the date by a day or 2, although I'm sure this kiddo won't be on time if they're anything like me 😝

Definitely finding comfort, reading this thread. Just knowing that no one is alone in this weird experience.

DaffyTaffy24 · 16/04/2020 09:39

@Lilice it's tough isn't it and with your family being so far from you.
It just sucks. It sounds like you're trying to keep realistic but hopeful though and I think that's the best we can do for our mental health right now.

Really hope you get to see your family, let's hope before the babby is born if not next month x

HugeAgeGap · 16/04/2020 09:59

@DaffyTaffy24 same due date here too :-)

sianyflewog · 16/04/2020 11:18

Can’t remember who was chatting about bras the other day but they’re buy one get one 1/2 price in New Look at the moment x

Lilice · 16/04/2020 11:52

Thank you for the kind words @DaffyTaffy24 at least I can still do video calls and chat easily. Imagine this happened when we were kids with no internet!

ChipsAreLife · 16/04/2020 12:03

@DaffyTaffy24 welcome!! I'm due 8 sept with my third. I just say early September. The other reason you may want to keep it unknown is you'll get loads of hassle on your due date and after if baby doesn't come. I mean people mean it in a nice way but it drove me mad (went 12 days over with my first)!!!

I've started to think about nursery in terms of what room is best. It may end up being my eldest dd room which is pink. May just leave it and then paint when it moves in properly. I'll have them with me for 6 months but be nice to have some bits in there and clothes etc.

I think given everything that's going on it's nice to dream about all the fun stuff!

One week today till scan 🥳

@Lilice hope you can get to go home soon. It's all so uncertain. Agree on the wonders of technology! What a godsend 👏

@Lilice I feel your pain in terms of not seeing family. I'm in Yorkshire and my family are all on the south coast, I haven't seen them since Christmas and was so looking forward to an Easter catch up. My Nan (last remaining grandparent) has been poorly recently and was briefly hospitalised after a fall, it would be nice to see her but who knows how long it will be until we can travel again? I'm hoping not too long as I'm not sure I'll be up to the 5 hour drive in the final months, and whilst my parents can come up to me no trouble once restrictions are lifted, my Nan certainly can't.

My due date is 27th September so could be an October baby, but as I'm high risk (clotting history) I doubt I'll be allowed to go too far over.

ShiningStarz · 16/04/2020 15:34

Haha @DaffyTaffy24 I haven’t actually told
Anyone the date!! I just say early sept!! As I’m
In NI the school
Cut off happens in June so I’m
Ok with a sept baby!!

12 sleeps until the big scan 💜 can’t come quick enough!

emma278 · 16/04/2020 16:28

Roxy8203 · 16/04/2020 18:31

sianyflewog · 16/04/2020 19:11

All the best for your scan @Roxy8203

Roxy8203 · 16/04/2020 19:19

Piper1879 · 16/04/2020 20:04

Hi to the new ladies and of course congratulations 🥳. @Roxy8203 ahh good luck for tomorrow , mine is on Monday 😬
It's tough being away from family during the lockdown , I've luckily well some days luckily , got my mum here and so far we are getting along ok 👌🏼. I want to try and make a start on the nursery , it's a a pink at the minute but I want it grey so we'll see 😱. Hugs to you @Lazydaisydaydream

Lilice · 16/04/2020 20:43

Enjoy your scan tomorrow @Roxy8203 are you going to find out the sex?
My 20 week scan seems soooooo far away, I am not even remembering the date yet as it's may haha
@Piper1879 I'm going for grey walls too

Sunshinexx95 · 16/04/2020 21:06

I have 5 sleeps 😭😭😭 for me I am so so nervous. It will be Tuesday morning and I will be exactly 20+0 weeks. I would like to find out the gender but my husband won't be allowed with me :(

ShiningStarz · 16/04/2020 21:08

Whooop @Roxy8203 that flew in!!! Let us know how you get on and enjoy xx

Roxy8203 · 16/04/2020 21:17

@Piper1879 yeah I'll be finding out the sex. The hospital called today to give instructions and she said they will write down the sex so I can open it with my partner. Not allowed to FaceTime or video tho.

@ShiningStarz thanks, it's not until late afternoon so need to find something to keep me busy else tomorrow will drag

ShiningStarz · 16/04/2020 21:21

Excited for you @Roxy8203 xx

Roxy8203 · 16/04/2020 21:26

@ShiningStarz thank you. I'll let you know how I get on 🤞🏼

DaffyTaffy24 · 16/04/2020 22:28

@Roxy8203 where are you from? I'm only curious as we've been told in south Wales that sonographers won't write the gender down 😕. Lovely that they're able to do it for you though!

Roxy8203 · 16/04/2020 22:38

@DaffyTaffy24 I'm in Devon. Have you looked to see if your unit has a Facebook page. Mine does and have really good at giving up to date info. Seems they have relaxed their rule on writing it down but won't allowed video/FaceTime. They also aren't charging for scan pics
