Has anyone ever had a UTI during pregnancy? Or issues with bladder leakage during first 12 weeks? Sorry..TMI.
Got nurse appt in morning to get checked.

Rebeccalin · 05/02/2020 17:04

I'm 6+5. I had a scan a few days ago because I'm super nervous. Saw the heart flicking! Really made it seen real!

anotherypasswordtoremember · 05/02/2020 17:47

Yeah I do feel a lot better after the scan. The twinges don't feel so worrying and I feel a bit more capable!

@Jane131 no UTI so far but I think I narrowly avoided one last week. First sign of that weird feeling and I drank ridiculous amounts of water to flush it out.
I did leak a bit of wee between weeks 4 and 7, but weirdly that's stopped now. It was only a small bit of wee and usually a few minutes after I'd been to the loo, so it was almost like my bladder want fully emptying itself when it had the chance!

ChipsAreLife · 05/02/2020 20:04

Congrats on all the scans. Glad to see it's all going well.

Had my booking in today and she moved my dates forward slightly so am 9 weeks today, so should get my scan letter through next week and then hopefully get to see that everything is ok! Feels real now I have my folder.

Been feeling so crap though. Just want to be i bed all day which isn't compatible with having kids and working. 😪 been eating terribly just white carbs. The thought of meat and veg makes me want to heave! So odd. Anyone else off food?

@ChipsAreLife I'm wondering about midwife changing my dates. Did yours do the first date of last period and just use 28? I've based my dates on cycle being 30 and I know that's accurate as we used the LH strips etc. Wondering if midwife will move my date as well when I have the booking in appt. I'm about 8+4 today.

Also off food, can only eat little tiny bits of things I really fancy (which changes daily) and have been off work this week as just couldn't carry on like this any longer. x

anotherypasswordtoremember · 05/02/2020 21:39

Yeah man I can barely eat anything sensible.
I can do fruit and crackers. But am craving sugar and fat so am eating some filth! Last night I had haribo for dinner!

anotherypasswordtoremember · 05/02/2020 21:40

The thought of green veg specifically makes me feel weird.

Rebeccalin · 05/02/2020 21:43

The smell of meat makes me vomit. I love meat! Really sad :(

ChipsAreLife · 05/02/2020 21:54

@anotherypasswordtoremember @Rebeccalin
How funny! Meat and veg specifically make me heave!

@hugeagegap yes exactly. But that's what I thought I had worked it on! but my cycles are normally 26/27 days so I said I thought I may be ahead. She said they take the 12 week scan as the date anyway and it may change.

I've already said that about meat and veg. Baby brain well and truly with me 😬

Hi ladies. Glad everyone has had positive scans and midwife appointments. Ive made the US but we missed our connection after a 10 hour flight so having to wait in the airport for 5 hours. Im exhausted and everyone is wondering why i dont want wine. Its so hard when no one knows. Xx

xiaomao · 06/02/2020 07:34

I'm usually such a meat eater but the thought of it is turning my stomach! Chicken nuggets is about the only meat I've had in weeks Grin if that counts!? Drove past the butcher's heaving the other day imagining the smell!!

OrDis · 06/02/2020 07:39

My sickness has kicked in in earnest the last few days. Breakfast lasted 10 minutes this morning before it came back up again! The things we do for babies eh?! 🤣🤣 I’m living off mini cheddars right now!!

Gastonimo · 06/02/2020 07:48

@sunshinexx95 I had an overactive thyroid before pregnancy and then it leveled off just before I got pregnant so I wasn't on medication during pregnancy and then post pregnancy it went overactive again and I lost all my pregnancy weight and then tried to correct itself and I'm now underactive and have been for 2 years. Now I'm pregnant again they've said they'll closely monitor it. They did last time. It did mean I was consultant led.
Try not to worry, lots of people get pregnant with undiagnosed thyroid issues. They'll get it under control x

LatteLover12 · 06/02/2020 20:38

@chipsarelife I am totally off food. The smell of cooking, the smell of the kitchen cupboards, the look of recipes EVERYTHING is disgusting.

You know what isn't? McDonalds. Cheesey chips. Angel delight. I swear, I've put a stone on in a fortnight. I can't wait for the second trimester and SALAD 😂🤮🤮🤮

Serendipper · 06/02/2020 21:59

Hi all, I’ve got my bfp but unsure if I’m due in September or October at the min! Mind if I join you and bring up the rear so to speak! Is there a Facebook group? X

Roxy8203 · 06/02/2020 22:22

@Serendipper congrats. Yep we have a Facebook group. It's called September September and the picture is pale yellow with pink and blue on

Sunshinexx95 · 07/02/2020 07:19

Good morning guys
How are you feeling? :)
Is it just me or I feel very bloated (sorry) and I am cramping just like I am about to have my period ..
I am either 9+3 today or 9+0. Maybe it is normal.. my back is killing me too .. :)
Hope you have a lovely Friday girls :D

Roxy8203 · 07/02/2020 07:49

Morning sunshine, I'm a bit bloated and gassy 💨 but feeling good. 10 weeks today 👍🏼👍🏼. Counting down the days to my 12 weeks

emma278 · 07/02/2020 10:45

Morning @Sunshinexx95 i have a weird kind of pressure feeling that comes and goes really low in my tummy below even my knicker line. Im 9 weeks today. Hoping its nothing serious xx

LatteLover12 · 07/02/2020 12:39

Hi @sunshinexx95 I've had cramps and back ache too. I think it's all normal. 9/10 weeks is when the placenta starts to take over too so perhaps it's to do with that.

I've had a wobble this morning as my sickness hasn't been as bad. Now I feel silly because it's back again and I should have made the most of it! 🤦🏼‍♀️

Bunt1987 · 07/02/2020 13:42

Hi, mind if i join? According to calculators i should be due end of September so looking at 7+3 today so it's really reassuring reading some of the comments for those of you a few weeks ahead and also to know what's to come! :o) My booking appointment is just under 2 weeks away and i've been in the nausea club for 2 weeks now, i just want to eat so much, especially in the evenings - mainly curry!!

OrDis · 07/02/2020 14:33

Hi @Bunt1987! Welcome! I’m 7+4 today so 1 day ahead! Mmm a curry craving sounds great!! The nausea is so weird isn't it, I feel hungry and sick at the same time. Yuk! Yesterday was horrible and I was actually sick, but today slightly better... it’s so strange, I never know what i’m going to wake up like lol!

ShiningStarz · 07/02/2020 16:19

Hi all,
I survived a busy week with work trips! Glad to be home & relaxing under a blanket!!

Nightmare @emma278 hope you’ve made it home safe and sound.

@Sunshinexx95 and @Roxy8203 I’m super bloated!!! Have been like this from day 1. Thinking might have to invest in maternity jeans and work trousers after 12 week scan. I’m struggling already!!

Welcome and congrats @Serendipper @bunt1987

Iv had headaches last 2 days, anyone know what’s safe to take?

HugeAgeGap · 07/02/2020 18:06

@ShiningStarz I would take paracetamol if you need something. The lowest dose you can get away with! I've had to a couple of times over last few weeks and that's what I found was recommended in the lowest dosage x
