Hi All, thanks for setting up the new page :-)
Ok ish here apart from feeling so dreadful. Not been sick but constant nausea and can't eat much apart from toast and apples without urging - nice.

I phoned my GP practice yesterday and we just need to register pregnancy with reception who pass to midwife team. Midwife phoned today and booked the booking in appt which will be next Friday when I'm 8+6, they said usually between 8-9 weeks their appts. Apparently they like you to get access to your notes online and fill in most of the questions prior to the appt to make it quicker.

Hope everyone else ok and all the girls not experiencing symptoms are enjoying that feeling and not worrying to much, we're all so different what's normal for one isn't necessarily normal for another x

Maybebaby2 · 28/01/2020 19:21

@ShiningStarz and @Sunshinexx95 I'm taking some reassurance in the fact that so many of us seem to have little or no symptoms, its not like just one of us there's quite a few. Makes it feel like it isn't too unusual. Still I'm looking forward to my scan on Sunday, need that visual confirmation!

Lazydaisydaydream · 28/01/2020 19:47

Booking in appointment went well today. Was a lot faster than last time as they already had most of my info. Now I just have to wait for my scan date! Should be in the next two weeks hopefully. Just want the reassurance that there is actually a healthy growing baby in there.

xiaomao · 28/01/2020 20:00

I had no idea that you could only have 1000 messages! Thanks for starting a new one.

Had my booking in appointment yesterday with the midwife, they've moved me to 9 weeks so very exciting and scan booked for 20th Feb, literally counting down the days Grin

ShiningStarz · 28/01/2020 20:14

Awww @Maybebaby2 I’m excited for you. Roll on Sunday!!

@xiaomao not too long until your scan. It’s all so exciting!!

@Lazydaisydaydream glad your booking appt went well. Would have thought they would have scanned you at the appt, how annoying!!

Lots of people having their booking appts now!! It’s like the next big step!!!
I was told I’d get a letter to attend a nhs booking appt at 10 weeks and then again at 12... so maybe they don’t scan at 10 weeks?
I’m 38 in few weeks so I’ll be opting for the screening tests. X

ChipsAreLife · 28/01/2020 20:50

@babytrain89 sorry didn't mean to sound patronising I just meant they come and go for most people. And in general I think most people do feel ok on the whole, you just hear about the ones who don't. Human nature to share the negatives more than the positives.

I think that too about things going wrong in pregnancy too, you tend to see that a lot more on Mumsnet than things going normal understandably. In real life I know only one person who had a missed miscarriage and it was absolutely dreadful but they are a small number amongst pregnancies. Keep holding on to the odds!

Oh fab news on the booking in apps! I've got mine next week and then scan is normally around 12/13 weeks but not had a letter yet. @shiningstarz we don't get scans at 10 weeks where I am just at 12. But it seems to vary so much!

Babytrain89 · 28/01/2020 20:52

Hi all, had docs appt today. She's done referral to midwife and given me my exemption cert.
Should expect contact from midwives in the next couple of weeks.
Doc was fab and basically said the anxiety is normal, would have been more concerned if not present, have to accept it and accept that it is a scary time given history and to just try and focus on what the differences are i.e. different time, different place, different journey! Her advice was early scan at 8 weeks which we already have booked. If all ok at 8 wks then risk significantly reduces!
Hope you're all doing fabulously!

ShiningStarz · 28/01/2020 21:39

Is anyone else really bloated?!
Honestly no matter I wear, I have a definite food baby bump!!

Maybe need to eat smaller meals throughout the day?!

Roxy8203 · 28/01/2020 23:27

@Babytrain89 I read that I heartbeat at 8 weeks reduces the risk to 1-2% which I was happy to hear on Saturday when the sonographer put me at 8+1 and the heart was glittering away nicely. I hope everything goes well at yours

@ShiningStarz yes I'm bloated and feeling massive, eating is the only thing that settles my stomach when I'm at work so I'm eating loads, going to need a new uniform sooner than I thought at this rate 🤦🏼‍♀️

OrDis · 29/01/2020 08:20

Anyone else having trouble sleeping? My sleep is so poor at the moment I wake around 1am to go to the bathroom then again at 3, 4, 5 etc. It’s knackering me out. I have to keep thinking that perhaps this is just my body preparing me for when I’m up all night with a baby lol but at the same time i’d like it if my last few months of baby-free sleep were decent 🤣

Roxy8203 · 29/01/2020 08:45

@OrDis my sleep isn't as good as it used to be. I'm waking up every night to go to the bathroom but also stirring during the night, I don't feel as rested as I used to. I said the same to my other half about early sleep deprivation prep 😂

Planeteer · 29/01/2020 09:29

Phew! Found you! Will catch up on posts now, but hi all x

emma278 · 29/01/2020 14:36

Ahhh found you all!! Still the same over here! No real symptoms! Midwife tomo early scan monday so nervous!!!! Xx

LatteLover12 · 29/01/2020 16:20

@OrDis I've been waking up in the night since before I took my test. It's horrendous. There's no pattern to it either!

Last night I was up for an hour between 2 & 3am but the night before I woke up at 4am and that was it. I'm exhausted 😩😩😩

ShiningStarz · 29/01/2020 16:59

I just want to get past the 12 week mark & then I’ll join the Facebook page.
Feeling so tired and it’s only 5pm!!
Hope everyone is having a good day x

Maybebaby2 · 29/01/2020 17:01

@OrDis yeah sleep is terrible here, doesn't help that I've got a 2 year old who isn't a great sleeper and now I can't fall asleep for hours and hours when I got to bed. Last night I fell asleep on sofa about 8.30 went up to bed thinking I'll go straight back to sleep but no.... ping wide awake till about 1am! 😭

ChipsAreLife · 29/01/2020 18:12

I'm also struggling to sleep. Waking up at 4 with morning sickness for a few hours. Then three year old wakes at 6.30 and I feel done in!!!! Just ate a huge bowl of spaghetti and am now unable to move off sofas. Girls are currently destroying the house but I don't care 😆

@ShiningStarz I'm so bloated by night. See note above about huge bowl of spaghetti🤔

Got midwife a week today so looking forward to that! Hope you're all well? X

ShiningStarz · 29/01/2020 18:40

Hahaha @ChipsAreLife!! I’m away with work tnite and I’m looking at room service menu!! Carb heaven!!!
Tempted to have a bath, anyone else had one? Ok if not too hot?!

Roxy8203 · 29/01/2020 18:47

@ShiningStarz I've had a few baths. They are ok as long as they aren't too hot. I don't like them really hot anyway but you don't really want to raise your core body temperature too much

ShiningStarz · 29/01/2020 18:58

Thanks @Roxy8203 I think I’ll play it safe and just have a shower before bed to help me sleep. Never sleep well in hotels! Miss my OH too 😢 work is pants!!

Sunshinexx95 · 29/01/2020 19:04

@ hi girls
I have bad sleep too I wake up to go toilet a lot I lost count honestly. And I feel like I am always half asleep. And I wake up very tired. I can't wait till Friday I have my 8 weeks ultrasound i hope everything is alright with my little peanut. I have been a bit worried lately since I lost all of my symptoms for some reason... but hopefully everything is alright

emma278 · 29/01/2020 19:05

@ShiningStarz i feel your pain. Im due to go to 2 conference back to back in the US next week and im dreading it!!! 😔

ShiningStarz · 29/01/2020 19:09

@Sunshinexx95 not long to wait now!! It’s very exciting and I’m sure everything will be ok. Most of Us have hardly any symptoms! I feel the need to be reassured too, my 8w 5d scan is next Wed. 🤞

Omg @emma278 are you flying from UK?
Iv 2 flights and 3 nights away next week. I’m usually fine about being away but just so emotional at the moment!!!🙈
