Unfortunately had some bad news at my scan today. They picked up an issue with the bowel and so I've been referred to a specialist at a different hospital. Should hear back before the end of the week so will just be trying to take my mind off it until then and hoping for the best. It really brought home how horrible it is to have to attend scans and appointments alone though, I really needed my husband there today and I was so much more upset just because he wasn't there with me Sad

ShiningStarz · 14/04/2020 20:22

@Lazydaisydaydream I’m so sorry to hear Youv had this bad news today. I hope the specialist can give you more information and reassurance. I’m sure you are very worried and I want to send you a virtual hug. 💜 xx

emma278 · 14/04/2020 20:46

@Lazydaisydaydream sending lots of positive vibes. Hopefully the appointment will give better news and reassurance xx

Sunflower1608 · 14/04/2020 20:58

@Lazydaisydaydream I'm so sorry to hear this. I will be thinking of you. Sending a virtual hug x

sianyflewog · 14/04/2020 21:01

@Lazydaisydaydream Sending you so many virtual hugs. I’m sure they won’t keep you waiting for very long before the appointment comes.
My friend had an abnormal scan 17 years ago, and her son is now a happy and healthy 16 year old. Another friend had an abnormality with a kidney picked up at 20 weeks - they scanned her regularly throughout pregnancy, and her little boy is absolutely fine. I think perhaps one of the worst things about being alone is that once you are given news you don’t expect to hear, it’s very hard to focus on the rest of the conversation and remember anything else. Hope this next appointment gives you some more reassurance - medicine is amazing, and so much they can do in many situations.

Lilice · 14/04/2020 22:48

@Lazydaisydaydream sending you virtual hugs xx

ChipsAreLife · 14/04/2020 23:05

@Lazydaisydaydream I'm so sorry you had to have that news, especially alone. I hope you get an app sooner than later as you must be going mad with questions running around your head. Sending you a hug xx

Hi everyone, currently 16+4. had a private scan yesterday for some peace of mind as they could figure out a healthy breslin developing at my 12 weeks scan! Yes he is healthy and he is also a boy!!! I am so excited as is my partner aghhh starting to feel so real now. Even though I haven't seen bf in 4 weeks due to corona and can't even go shopping for baby clothes. Hope everyone is well :)

Chanel05 · 15/04/2020 06:40

@Lazydaisydaydream sorry you had to go through that alone, I hope you are contacted very soon.

@ShiningStarz ahh lucky, mine is in the afternoon. I feel like it's such a big hurdle to get last, I want to start baby's room after the scan since DH and I are both working from home.

Lazydaisydaydream · 15/04/2020 07:30

Thank you everyone. Struggled to get to sleep last night but got some sleep in the end. A bit teary this morning so will be doing some nice messy and noisy activities with my toddler to try and take my mind off it all! Flowers

HugeAgeGap · 15/04/2020 08:45

@Lazydaisydaydream sending love and positivity today. Hopefully you get an appt quickly so you know the situation; hopefully things are ok ❤️

Lilice · 15/04/2020 09:29

@Lazydaisydaydream hopefully you wont have to wait too long to get some answers.

@Chanel05 I can't wait to start doing the nursery! Have you got a theme in mind?

Lilice · 15/04/2020 09:29

@rhia22 congrats on the baby boy!!!

Lorna198 · 15/04/2020 10:07

@Lazydaisydaydream sending hugs mate.

@rhia22 congrats on the scan.

Avocuddles · 15/04/2020 15:49

Hi! Finally plucking up the courage to join the September group - I'm 16 +2 and was nervous about joining too soon after two previous miscarriages. I'm 36 and this will (hopefully) be my first baby.

HugeAgeGap · 15/04/2020 16:01

Congrats @Avocuddles xx

Chanel05 · 15/04/2020 16:30

Welcome @Avocuddles !

@Lilice I think we're going to do one wall pink with sparkly paint that we found on wilkos online and then baby's name in Disney font with a Minnie Mouse bow. We'd ordered some carpet samples too so had that picked out as well. Have you got any ideas of how you'd like to decorate?

Lilice · 15/04/2020 17:14

@Avocuddles congrats and welcome

@emma278 sounds lovely! I take it you're having a girl? I'm going for white furniture and grey walls, and grey and white accessories to decorate maybe with winnie the pooh or dumbo.

Lorna198 · 15/04/2020 17:40

Welcome along @Avocuddles and congratulations! I’m also 36 and having my first.

I’ve not really thought about nursery yet. I’m still in the mindset of wait a while till life goes back to normal so I’m hoping that’s gonna happen by July at least. I don’t really know what it is I’m buying so I really need to look at things at not just click lol.

CNovittBolden · 15/04/2020 19:55

Hi guys! 😊 I'm 16+4 and due on 25th September! Finally found someone people to listen and talk to who are are the same stage as me! 👋🏻 nice to meet you all xx

sianyflewog · 15/04/2020 20:28

Hi @Avocuddles and @cnovittbolden - congratulations to you both!

I’m 17+3, due 20th ❤️ Don’t know that I’ve said that here yet!

ShiningStarz · 15/04/2020 21:48

Congrats and welcome @Avocuddles and @CNovittBolden 💜

I’m 38 and due my first 😊 18 +4 today and on the countdown to the 20 week scan

DaffyTaffy24 · 16/04/2020 08:01

Hi everyone!

Finally found the September babies thread! I'm 18+5, due 11th with my first 😁

Excited with having little movements, gutted that nobody else is allowed to feel them.

Really hoping that the world gets back to normal June-July time, so we can all have a bit of time to really enjoy the shopping and preparation and not feel so rushed on the internet!

ShiningStarz · 16/04/2020 08:12

Morning and congrats @DaffyTaffy24
We have the same due date 😊
Yep I’m also hopeful too that we’ll have lots of time by July and august to get ready for our little ones!! 🤞

ShiningStarz · 16/04/2020 08:13

Morning @Lazydaisydaydream just a wee hug for you 🤗 and I hope you are ok
