That’s great @Roxy8203

@Lilice my partner doesn’t want to know! So wev agreed not to find out!! My doctor will email me my harmony results minus the report which states the sex!!

Haha@lorna!!!

Will defo check out H&M. I ordered maternity clothes from there to be delivered. A few weeks ago and they never arrived!!! Can’t wait for it to get warmer! Just stick on dresses!!

Roxy8203 · 02/04/2020 19:42

@ShiningStarz H&M can take a long time with orders. I've ordered a few bits from boohoo, it was pretty cheap although I got a pack of two leggings and they are really thin so wouldn't recommend them but the rest is great.

I had my 16 week the day before they classed pregnancy women as high risk and the MW listened to the heartbeat once she managed to catch the little one flirting around. I'll be finding out the sex

flameprincess · 02/04/2020 19:58

I haven't bought anything yet, waiting for 20 week scan as the neutral stuff just bores me. Also even though I was planning to get most things online I'm still bummed I can't browse the shops!

Is anyone on the Bounty mailing list? The deals on there are very groupon-esque and seem too good to be true, not sure of the quality of the stuff...

Roxy8203 · 02/04/2020 20:07

@flameprincess I have the bounty app and bright the baby rocker via bounty from online4baby. It was fine, arrived next day

Lilice · 02/04/2020 20:55

@Roxy8203 did you get a discount on online4baby through the bounty app?

Lilice · 02/04/2020 20:58

I hope you dont mind asking @Roxy8203 which baby rocker did you get? I need to get one too and love a good deal Wink

Roxy8203 · 02/04/2020 21:24

@Lilice yes I got it half price. I brought the nuna leaf.

flameprincess · 03/04/2020 00:23

Ooooh good to know Smile

ChipsAreLife · 03/04/2020 07:49

@shiningstarz yes I've been looking at neutral clothes and noticed a few are sold out! All I'd say is you don't need loads to start. Then once they're here you get to do online shopping during night feeds - keeps it fun!!

We've got a bugaboo chameleon. I really like it! I hear good things about the uppa baby vista too. It depends on how much you need a pram, if you drive etc. I would say get one that you can move the car seat onto. If baby falls asleep and you're popping to a shop /cafe it's so much easier than moving them to a carry cot and risk waking them!

I'm planning to start getting some bits after 20 week scan mainly because it's nice to do that at the moment when things seem so glum! We don't need loads but I do need a new crib and bouncer. My scan is less than three weeks now and time is flying!!!

@lilice we hear the heartbeat in my trust but lots don't. I don't think dopplers are recommended as they are quite hard to use apparently!

How's everyone feeling?

ChipsAreLife · 03/04/2020 07:52

Sorry my pram post makes no sense!! What I mean is if you live in an urban area and use the bus a lot you'd want something like a yo-yo zen or bugaboo bee. If you live a bit more rural you may want something more robust like a chameleon.

ShiningStarz · 03/04/2020 08:48

@Roxy8203 the nuna leaf looks fab.

@ChipsAreLife I live in the city but go for walks along towpaths and eventually will be using pram for forest walks etc so I think something sturdier would suit us. I read that it’s better to have separate car seat as it’s not good for baby to sleep in it? Better to transfer to pram?? What do ya think?

I’m waiting another 2 months until I buy anything but think I’ll make a list soon!! I’ll share mine on here and maybe some of you could advise xx

Lilice · 03/04/2020 08:51

@Roxy8203 that's great thank you! I've downloaded the bounty app and can see loads of bargains. I'm tempted by the mini uno travel system but dont know that brand and can't find any reviews. Has anyone heard of that brand before?

ChipsAreLife · 03/04/2020 08:57

@ShiningStarz I think the guidelines are less than two hours in the car seat? May have changed! It was crazy how much advice had changed in between my two which was only 18 months!

It's not so much an issue when they're newborns more when they're a little older but I just found if I was popping to supermarket and then fell asleep it was much easier to move the car seat onto the pram and back again. If that makes sense?

Roxy8203 · 03/04/2020 08:59

@Lilice new deals come on all the time. Have a look at online4baby website too.
I'm not buying the pram for a while, it takes up too much space

Roxy8203 · 03/04/2020 09:09

The Emma’s diary app is also very good for deals

MooseWL · 03/04/2020 09:19

@Roxy8203 how long did it take for your test results to come through?
My scan was a week last Monday and they said within 2 weeks. Not sure we're getting much post at the moment though. But they did say if there's anything high risk a midwife would be in contact sooner. So hoping not hearing anything means it's low risk.

I've not even thought about shopping yet. Need to sort out a bedroom etc but i think I'll do all that after 20 week scan! We we're trying to get a new bathroom sorted too which really needs doing but we've put it off for ages. Just hoping now we have time before the baby arrives!

Roxy8203 · 03/04/2020 09:43

@MooseWL they told me the results should come in the post within a week and any problems they would call. The letter came 2 days later with the result. That was 6 weeks ago so timings may have changed with everything that's going on but I was impressed with how quick it was

ChipsAreLife · 03/04/2020 10:14

@MooseWL my hospital said they call if they're worried but it's worth chasing your results up so you have them on file. I think you're right though they're overwhelmed. I didn't get a letter through for my consultant app but MW said there was one on system for me 🤷🏼‍♀️

@Roxy8203 thanks for the tip on Emma's diary too!

I wouldn't normally buy this early but I just feel so under excited about the baby amongst the rest of the daily stress I need it!

OP posts:
MooseWL · 03/04/2020 10:20

Yeah if they don't come next week I'll chase or maybe ask at my 16 week appointment on 14th. Don't want to bug them as I imagine it's chaos at the mo.

HugeAgeGap · 03/04/2020 11:24

@MooseWL I was told that I'd also hear by phone direct from a MW if there was a risk with the results, she said within one week if high risk. Otherwise letter will come within next few weeks, think mine took 2-3 before this all kicked off. I would think you'll be fine :-)

Has anyone had any experience of the Joolz pushchairs? They look similar to Bugaboo. I need something that folds small as have a tiny car! Not planning on buying for months yet but last preg I hated my pchair and promised myself second time around I wouldn't compromise so it's nice to look. I live in the country and even when not in lockdown, there are no shops within a 3hour drive I can try these in real life!

MooseWL · 03/04/2020 13:05

After all that my letter came today! Low risk for all 😊

Roxy8203 · 03/04/2020 15:01

@MooseWL 👍🏼👍🏼

ShiningStarz · 04/04/2020 09:11

Morning everyone,

Happy Weekend!!!

NI have published this to support pregnant women during this time. Im not sure if you guys could sign up but it’s worth a try:

www.ni-maternity.com/

I’m going to start compiling baby list tonight! Last night I spent ages doing the food shopping list for my partner!! 😫

emma278 · 04/04/2020 13:22

Hi all, had our private scan today. All is still well. Feeling very relieved and glad my husband was allowed to join xx

Sunshinexx95 · 04/04/2020 13:37

Hi everyone
I am so glad everyone is ok :)
This corona virus is taking over our life and I really want to enjoy my pregnancy even if I am at risk. I work in Sweden at the moment and here we work as usual. And I work as a pharmacist so I face sick people every single day. I stopped worrying because the more I worry, the more I feel my immune system will shut down. I'm taking vitamin c and all sorts of pregnant vitamins.

We have to stay strong and we have to boost our immune system everyone 💚💚💚 and I'm so glad we have each other here..
