Quite relieved about the lockdown news as now there's no ambiguity and everyone has to do the same. Had been getting a few comments from my OHs family that I was taking it a bit far by not meeting up with them Hmm so at least now it's just not an option!

Keep feeling tiny baby movements a few times a day. Very impatient for them to get stronger and more consistent and for my husband to be able to feel them.

Piper1879 · 24/03/2020 12:05

Hope everyone is ok! Unfortunately we are still considered essential work well at least according to my boss so I will be at work
from Thursday. I had a gender scan last night and had planned on a small party for
friends which I am now doing through FaceTime, I am sad my scan place is closed as I enjoyed checking on my baby's progress and it eased my anxiety but needs must !!

emma278 · 24/03/2020 12:38

@ShiningStarz yes they did the measurement and a blood test and sent me a letter it said 1in6250 chance on downs which is apparently a low risk xx

ChipsAreLife · 24/03/2020 13:54

Yes I got my later with results about a week after the scan x

Ladies im so worried about this stupid fluid i cant think about anything else. Ive felt so damp today and all ive done is sat at my computer. I feel so let down by the midwives when i called and dont know where to turn, the DR couldnt help and now i feel helpless.

Xx

Lorna198 · 24/03/2020 19:29

Read this the other day on a what to expect when your 15 weeks pregnant. Could it possibly be something along these lines @emma278?

Vaginal discharge
It's quite normal to experience more vaginal discharge during pregnancy - it's usually thin, clear or milky white and should not smell badly. However, if it is smelly or you feel itchy and/or sore when you pee, it's important to contact your midwife as this could be a sign of an infection.

emma278 · 24/03/2020 19:35

Thanks @Lorna198 im sure it is. I dont know whats wrong with me i just cant stop panicking. I feel so helpless. I cant concentrate on anything and just feel constantly worried. Its horrible xx

ChipsAreLife · 24/03/2020 20:02

@emma278 I have this too. My pants are often quite wet but I don't feel anything to have loads of white, creamy discharge. I think it's really common and not to worry about but maybe post on pregnancy board?

OP posts:
ChipsAreLife · 24/03/2020 20:03

And don't have loads!

I also meant post for reassurance. Brain has switched off 😬

Lorna198 · 24/03/2020 21:09

Bless ya @emma278. Hopefully it will ease up soon and you will stop panicking. I know that’s easy to say! Hopefully they can put you at ease at your next appointment x

Sipperskipper · 25/03/2020 06:43

Re: dampness. I’m also getting similar. Have had some continence issues since DD (have to wear a little pad), but since being pregnant (even early pregnancy) it’s so much worse. I’m assuming it’s everythjng relaxing.

Saw the consultant yesterday, all well & she scanned me too, which was nice! Although my due date is 5th September, she has booked my section for 21st August, as cannot risk me going into labour.

Hope everyone is feeling well.

MooseWL · 25/03/2020 07:29

Is anyone continuing any vitamins after 13 weeks? I've been taking folic acid and vit D up until now. My midwife said after the first trimester I should just switch to a pregnancy multivitamin however I don't really believe in multivitamins. I eat a balanced diet so I should get everything I need. Considering just continuing with the vit D until it gets sunnier...

emma278 · 25/03/2020 08:40

@Sipperskipper thankyou i just wish i could stop worrying and analysing every pair of pants!!!

@MooseWL im taking the seven seas vitamins everyday but im finding it hard to get a variety of fresh veg at the mo so just taking them to be cautious and have taken them since BFP

Xx

emma278 · 25/03/2020 12:09

This around the edge of a liner. Surely this isnt right?! X

ChipsAreLife · 25/03/2020 14:01

That's what my pants look like, but it's not all day everyday. Are you 16 weeks yet? That's when I can use maternity services like day Assesment maybe call them if you're worried x

OP posts:
emma278 · 25/03/2020 14:21

16 weeks tomorrow @ChipsAreLife its not like that constantly to be fair. Maybe once every other day xx

Lilice · 25/03/2020 19:38

@emma278 do you have the number for the community midwives? I'd give them a ring just for peace of mind.

If anyone feeling baby movements yet?

emma278 · 25/03/2020 19:42

@Lilice i ramg them before and fhey didnt want to know. Sent me to my gp who were kind but also couldnt really help. Xx

Lazydaisydaydream · 25/03/2020 19:44

@emma278 I've had that a few times but had it much more frequently During my last pregnancy. If you're not happy with the midwife you spoke to then there is absolutely nothing wrong with ringing and speaking to someone else! I'm sure it's nothing to worry about, but they will be in a much better position to reassure you or decide if they need to see you etc.

emma278 · 25/03/2020 19:47

@Lazydaisydaydream thank you thats reassuring. Ive got my 16 week appointment next weds so hoping i can last til then and will make them look into it then. Xx

Lorna198 · 25/03/2020 20:43

@Lilice I don’t think so! Guessing as this is my first that you know when you have and although I think I’ve maybe felt something it could be wishful thinking! Hoping the next couple of weeks will bring movement! How about you?

Lilice · 25/03/2020 21:17

@lorna198 no I havent either, not that I think so. I've felt bubbles but I'm sure that was wind! With my previous babies it felt like an eye twitch but I havent felt that yet. I really can't wait now!

Lilice · 25/03/2020 21:19

@emma278 good thing you've got your appointment soon. In the meantime I'd ring again if still worried.

ShiningStarz · 25/03/2020 21:57

@emma278 how are you
Now? My pants are honestly like that too, sometimes more wet and other times mixture of wet and creamy discharge.
I honestly wouldn’t worry. No harm in ringin for advice though if you are concerned.

I’v felt flutter bubbles which I think is movement! Can’t be sure though!! Looking forward to scan next week 🙏

ShiningStarz · 25/03/2020 22:29

Anyone had their 16 week check up yet?

Mine is next wed. I will be getting harmony test done. I’v been thinking about it and my partner and I feel we’d like to know our risk x
