Hi to @MooseWL and @Heckythump1 👋

I drank a pint of water about 40 mins before and was fine. Really needed to pee during though. She was really lovely and chatty and DH wouldn't zip it too. Was just thinking 'come on people I need to pee!'

Welcome @Heckythump1 and @MooseWL and congrats xx

ShiningStarz · 09/03/2020 20:05

I just dipped water when I arrived at the clinic, it was a long wait to be called & I was bursting!! Baby wasn’t in right position so the doc sent me out to pee and come back in 1 hr without any water and he could do his calculations better as baby moved position! I’m not sure it’s all that important to be bursting!! X

Lazydaisydaydream · 09/03/2020 20:10

@MooseWL I was told not to drink anything extra but not to go to the toilet for 30 minutes before the scan. I went exactly 30 minutes before as I was desperate Blush there were no issues. Good luck with the scan!

Lazydaisydaydream · 09/03/2020 20:11

I'm 14w6d and a couple of times today I've felt like I can feel the baby moving. Too early? I think last time I was nearer to 17 weeks.

LatteLover12 · 09/03/2020 20:20

Hi everyone, it's lovely to see everyone starting to have their scans. I've still got another (almost) 2 weeks to go and I'll be 13+3.

It feels like an AGE since my 8 week scan.

Sickness is definitely dying off now but I'm constantly hungry!

emma278 · 09/03/2020 20:41

@Lazydaisydaydream i think i felt mine last night!!! Only 13+4. It was like little bubbles or flutters in my tummy. A really surreal feeling!!! Xx

HugeAgeGap · 09/03/2020 22:41

@Maybebaby2 yeah the tilted is a nightmare for early scans as they have to push so hard into your tummy it's quite painful! She had to go really near my c-section scar and was so painful we had to stop and reschedule to a week later when baby would be bigger and easier to see. Good luck! x

Roxy8203 · 09/03/2020 22:53

@Heckythump1 hello, there is a Facebook group going but it's hidden I believe. If you PM me your Facebook address I can see if we can send an invite

ShiningStarz · 10/03/2020 04:01

@Lazydaisydaydream @emma278 I felt butterflies on Sunday! Probably totally unrelated! My pregnancy handbook the hospital gave me said you can feel from 16 weeks so we aren’t that far off!!

I’m wide awake and it’s 4am!! Eating toast and sipping on tea!!! I keep falling asleep on sofa at 9!! Then I wake to start my day at around 3am/4am 🙈 I need to stop it!!! Round ligament pulling I think is waking me too, thinking about purchasing a pregnancy pillow soon!! Seems way to early... any of you ladies have an experience with the pillows and when to start using ? X

HugeAgeGap · 10/03/2020 07:36

@ShiningStarz I got a BBHugMe pillow, direct from their website, it was a clearance colour and there was a discount code so nabbed it with nearly £50 off the normal price. I havent even opened the box yet but the reviews were amazing I just had to get one at that price x

ShiningStarz · 10/03/2020 08:01

@HugeAgeGap that was a great deal!! I think my partner has bought me one, not sure of the brand tho!! I was just chatting this morning about it!! I usually sleep on my front which I can’t obviously do now. When I sleep in sides, I can feel the round ligament pulling! Guess I better get used to not so great sleeps!

Lazydaisydaydream · 10/03/2020 09:00

Slept with my pregnancy pillow for the first time last night and it was incredible Grin

And I felt the baby move this morning so that's definitely what it was yesterday Smile I think that because I know what to look for I noticed it earlier than the first time around.

ShiningStarz · 10/03/2020 10:16

Oooooh @Lazydaisydaydream how far along are you?

ShiningStarz · 10/03/2020 10:17

Just seen how far long you are up the thread!! Sorry @Lazydaisydaydream xx

Lazydaisydaydream · 10/03/2020 10:45

15 weeks today Grin also had the first person realise I'm pregnant just from seeing my bump yesterday! (someone I know well so she could obviously see a difference haha)

MooseWL · 10/03/2020 12:51

Had my scan this morning was all good wriggling away. Sleepless night last night for nothing! Measured me at just over 11 weeks so got to go back in another couple of weeks as it was too early for the tests. Glad I get to go again though was really surreal 😂
@maybebaby2 how was your scan?

emma278 · 10/03/2020 14:57

Any other recommendations on pregnancy pillows ladies? Im in need of one now for sure!! X

Lazydaisydaydream · 10/03/2020 16:52

I just bought a generic twelve foot u shaped one from amazon and it was brilliant the whole way through my last pregnancy. It is BIG though so you need space in the bed! We have a superking and my OH still complained it took up too much space Grin

ChipsAreLife · 10/03/2020 17:19

I have a dream genie one as that was the one to have five years ago! Now there are so many and so different! I'm going to stick with mine but may get another one if struggling! And yes been using mine the last week. I'm still able to sleep on my tummy though.

Re round ligament pain etc. I got SPD with my first and had to go to physio. They told me you should always keep your legs together when getting out of the bed, car etc and to not move too quickly. If may help with the ligament pain too, I have no idea!!!

Congrats on the scan @mosseWL! How annoying but nice you get to go back!

Hi everyone I haven't posted for a long time
I hope everyone is welll ❤️❤️❤️
I had a cold for like 2 weeks it was terrible but now I can say it is finally over.
I haven't felt any symptoms since I past 12 weeks so I am just wondering if I should be worried 😟 I haven't felt anything since I got ill and I am thinking if this cold actually had an impact on the baby.. but I am trying to be positive. I have a private scan booked in week 16 so 28th of March 😍 and it is a gender scan so I'm hoping I get to know the gender ...

ShiningStarz · 10/03/2020 22:07

Thanks @ChipsAreLife the hospital I’m going too has classes with a physio. I think I’ll join them.

@Sunshinexx95 don’t worry, I didn’t feel anything apart from sore boobs. Got the bump now tho! Hope your ok

Maybebaby2 · 10/03/2020 22:58

@MooseWL thats fab scan went well and you get to go back in a couple of weeks! 😃

I didn't sleep a wink either but everything was fine. Little one was being awkward and was face down not wanting to move, we did get to see the spine in full which was pretty amazing, anyway she sent us out for 20 mins and brought us back and it had turned round so they were able to get the measurements they wanted. Dated me as 13 weeks and due date 15th September. Feel such a relief 😃

MooseWL · 11/03/2020 06:32

@maybebaby2 aw glad yours went well too it's such a relief isn't it!
We told my partners parents and sisters yesterday evening, I don't think anyone was expecting it but there was a lot of excitement! Going too see my parents at the weekend they are going to be shocked 🤣 has everyone else told people yet?
I can't wait to get a bump even after the scan it's still quite not sinking in that it's real!

ShiningStarz · 11/03/2020 09:43

Aww @Maybebaby2 and @MooseWL super congrats!! It’s such a lovely feeling !!

Yep told rest of my family yesterday. Still more to tell lol big family ! I wanted to keep it under wraps until 20 weeks but I’m showing now at 14, couldn’t hide it so need to tell everyone at work soon or they will think iv put a bit of weight on 🙈
I’m nervous and anxious, just want everything to be ok. I presume this feeling is totally normal !!
