Hello! Just checking in scan was great! Baby was moving loads and all looks good. Got moved slightly forward solo due date is now 8 September which is exciting.

We told the girls and they were so excited. My heart wanted to burst so much. Will start to tell friends now, which is nice too.

Hope everyone is having a good Friday night and has nice weekends planned! X

Fantastic news @ChipsAreLife❤️
I’m 9th sept!!

Lazydaisydaydream · 07/03/2020 07:31

@ShiningStarz I normally sleep on my front and I'm starting to find that uncomfortable so think I will get my pregnancy pillow back out of storage today. Honestly if you don't have one.... Get one!!! It was the only thing that allowed me to get any sleep last time!

With my first I didn't start properly showing with a bump until around 17 weeks, but this time around I've had a proper little bump for weeks now. I think it's because I'm quite short? If you didn't know me you might just think I was carrying weight on my stomach though, I'm not sure it looks obviously "pregnant" yet if that makes sense!!

@ChipsAreLife that's great about your scan! Have fun sharing your news with everyone Smile

OrDis · 07/03/2020 08:01

Great news @ChipsAreLife

ShiningStarz · 07/03/2020 09:14

I had to give in and buy maternity jeans yesterday. Iv put on some weight but iv also got a little bump! It feels so comfortable, for anyone struggling, just get them! I got mine in H&M, the ones with no button.
I’m 13.5 weeks so can’t believe a bump is possible but maybe it’s mixture of bump n flab lol

Roxy8203 · 07/03/2020 09:19

@ShiningStarz H&M is the only place in my town who sell maternity so got some jeans and I love them! So much more comfortable

ChipsAreLife · 07/03/2020 11:13

Thanks guys!

@ShiningStarz think I was about 20 weeks when I showed with my first. But I was very active and never carried weight on my stomach. I'm really showing already this time round. We are all different and if you're shorter you will def show earlier. And yah to be being due date neighbours!

My kids have not stopped asking questions... it's so cute but going to be a long 26 or so weeks 😩

Hello!
Quick question: has anyone experienced ‘lightening crotch’ this early on? (11+6)
Yesterday, I had the most uncomfortable experience that must have lasted about a minute and a half - I was really worried as it was quite extreme.
I’m not sure if it’s something to be concerned about? I have had mild cramps all throughout and seemingly everything’s okay, but these darts up my hoo-ha are seriously disconcerting.
Never experienced them with DD. But I’ve definitely been more sedentary this time around!

Chanel05 · 08/03/2020 11:55

9am scan tomorrow and I'm so so nervous.

pangolin84 · 08/03/2020 11:55

@glasha87 I’m 10w6 and had that this week! Very disconcerting... I think mine only lasted about 30 seconds but that was long enough. Glad you asked because I had no idea ‘lightning crotch’ was a thing. Now at least I know what to call it.

We went for another scan today as it’s looking like DH won’t be able to come to my 12 week NHS one. Everything looking good and the little one is measuring at 11w0. Was jumping around a lot too. Amazing to see the difference between this time and the one at 8 weeks.

ShiningStarz · 08/03/2020 12:10

13w 5d. Anyone else got a bump?
I know it’s mostly progesterone and also little bump. It’s my first, I’m 37 and a size 10 with little tummy before, not skinny size 10 by any means!!

emma278 · 08/03/2020 12:40

@ShiningStarz im the same... excuse the mess usually a size 14 but tall.

ShiningStarz · 08/03/2020 17:14

Oh my gosh @emma278 I’m so relieved to see your bump!! Must just be normal for some women to show earlier than others! I never expected to show so soon xx

ChipsAreLife · 08/03/2020 22:09

Good luck @chanel05! I found I didn't have time at the hospital to be nervous as everything was on time and the staff where just so lovely!!!

Ah you girls look great!! I'll take one tomorrow and show you but I'd say im maybe similar in size.

Hope everyone had a good weekend? I've started nesting. Had a huge clear out of my bedroom this afternoon and now have nothing under my bed and a extremely tidy and organised wardrobe! 😇

emma278 · 09/03/2020 11:40

Real bad like wind tight pain when i stand up today.ike my muscles are all being pulled 😣 hope everything is ok x

Chanel05 · 09/03/2020 12:46

Update! Had my scan this morning and all looked well. Baby was chilling out and I've been dated to 12+6!

ShiningStarz · 09/03/2020 12:47

Snap @emma278
I get up real slow to ease it and it helps x

Maybebaby2 · 09/03/2020 15:46

Congratulations on your scans @ChipsAreLife @Chanel05 and @pangolin84 fab news 😃

Loving the bump pics @ShiningStarz and @emma278 still waiting for mine to pop and worrying myself because it hasn't yet. This is my 3rd so I expected to be showing almost straight away! Scan tomorrow so hopefully my worries will be put to rest 🤞

MooseWL · 09/03/2020 16:50

Hi all. Long time browser thought I'd finally register 😊 first baby for me got my scan tomorrow and I'm terrified! But glad it's finally come around so I'll know either way!
I think my midwife has me a week ahead so if all is well i imagine I'll be around 11w2 tomorrow due end of September.
My midwife booked my scan and I've not had a letter about it - how much did you ladies have to drink and how long before?
Still feeling sick this week after all day sickness for the last month and having to throw things up that just seem to sit in my stomach until I vom 😂 but it definitely doesn't seem as bad as the last few weeks so hopefully beginning to ease!

Heckythump1 · 09/03/2020 16:53

Hi All! Commented on another Sept 2020 thread but nobody replying so I found you guys instead!
I'm 13+1 and finally had my booking in appointment this morning! My Dad has been in hospital most of the last month so life has been a little hectic!
I have my scan on Thursday which is very exciting/nerve wracking!
Do we have a Facebook group yet? I have a 4 year old and our Facebook group is still very active and lovely!

Chanel05 · 09/03/2020 17:23

@MooseWL I was instructed to drink a litre of water and I had to have finished drinking it one hour before my scan. I had a VERY full bladder I can tell you that.

MooseWL · 09/03/2020 17:33

@Chanel05 I have the smallest bladder ever I think I could halve that amount and still have a full bladder 😂

HugeAgeGap · 09/03/2020 18:33

I have a tilted uterus, and although the scan letter specifically said you do not need a full bladder, the sonographer suggested I did so we could get a better look inside. Must admit it was reeeeeally uncomfortable having the scanning done on a full bladder I thought I might wet myself 😂

Maybebaby2 · 09/03/2020 19:01

@HugeAgeGap I have a tilted uterus too so not looking forward to scan knowing its going to be uncomfortable, but I will drink as much water as I possibly can without bursting! 😂
