Just thought I'd start a new a thread

I've got my consultant appointment this week!! Have been having a lot of cramps so hoping he can put my mind at ease a bit. I'm 14 weeks now

@ChipsAreLife it was such a shock lol. i’m on the pill and i don’t get periods whilst i’m on it but started to feel a bit poorly so thought I’d do a test and here i am lol. still haven’t had a scan, will have one next week but am guessing i’m around 11 weeks as that’s how the dates add up. i will stay here with you don’t worry, i don’t use facebook xx

Wow @grizzlysky I bet it was a shock! Did you have any plans for a second?
This is a surprise second pregnancy for me too I think my husband feels cheated that he didn't get all the TTC sex this time haha.

Yes @lazydaisydream! I will make more effort to post more as it's gone very quiet!

Oh it's so hard not to worry about cramps but it's so normal. I keep getting them to. 14 weeks is exciting! I'm 13 today. Got a bump now... I guess I'm showing earlier as it's my third!

@grizzlysky wow! Good job you had symptoms otherwise that may have been a huge shock down the line. How old is your first? I have a 3 and 5 year old born 19 months apart. Got a more sensible gap this time!

Anyone else experiencing crazy hair growth?! Normally I can leave my leg hair for ages but it's growing so fast!!!

@ChipsAreLife funny enough my OH mentioned the leg hair just this morning I tend to be pretty lazy about shaving them normally but now I'm pregnant they've gone insane!! Problem is I'm really itchy all over at the moment and shaving makes it worse so I'm just leaving them to grow wild and free for now and will see how long I can go haha. Good job it's not summer!!

@Lazydaisydaydream no plans at all, i’m actually going at it alone this time. babies dad decided he didn’t want a child (he could’ve decided that before he conceived it!).

@ChipsAreLife i know! i only tried thinking i’ll rule this out but surely i can’t be and there it was!. my first is 3, he will turn 4 a couple of months after this one comes along. i’m quite happy with this age gap though. my legs are rarely shaved so i haven’t known a difference!

I'm 12 weeks today! Scan on Monday and time seems to be going so slowly in the run up to it.

Ha ha @lazydaisydream glad it's not just me looking like a wild animal lol! Must be the hormones?!

@grizzlysky oh that's dreadful- what a douchebag. I guess better off without him not that that makes it easier! Do you have much support around you? Yes it's a good age gap and your eldest will be at preschool I'm guessing so you'll get a break?

@Chanel05 not long!! I'm the same though, time is going so bloody slow. I'm really busy tomorrow and Friday before my scan in the afternoon so hoping it goes fast!

@Chanel05 that’s one reason i’m glad i found out late, it will go much quicker😂

@ChipsAreLife yeah he’s an idiot! i’ve got a great support network!. and yep, ds will start nursery in september so i will be able to have one on one time with baby

@ChipsAreLife I really need to get back to exercise! 2 weeks with a stinking cold really set me back but at lease peanut is doing ok! I must get back to cardio and swimming from the weekend.

I have had pulling down below and consultant reckons it’s the round ligament stretching!! Not sure but just feels like pulling and lying on either side in bed makes it worse so trying to sleep on my back!! Anyone of you that have been here before have similar pulls and stretches?

@ShiningStarz I know I've just not been able to face exercise but felt so much better for it! Going to do some on my lunch break. It's hard at this stage as you have no energy. Has your cold started to go?

@grizzlysky sounds like you've got great help and yes pre school will be a saviour for you so you can rest in the day! Also good to get you up and out in the morning and then you can chill!

I'm so excited for tomorrow! It's not until 3 though so got to keep busy till then!

@ShiningStarz ive had that too especially when lying on one side i googled and found that too. Hopefully just growing pains xx

Sorry forgot to say yes I'm getting pain, especially if I move out of bed etc too quickly!

I’m so relieved! Iv definitely slowed down a bit, constant pulling feeling and the hormones are making me look huge!
Iv a huge round tummy.
Also now sleeping on my back! Too uncomfortable sleeping on my side or front!! Aghhhh anyone else?!

I'm feeling ok thanks, nervous for my scan today. I had horrible nausea up to 7weeks then it vanished completely which is what happened when I had my miscarriage in November. I've had an early scan which indicated all was ok but can't wait for today!
It's weird feeling completely normal and being able to eat food because last time with my little boy I couldn't eat a thing! Sleep is hit and miss already as welll. How is everybody else?

Thank you!!! It's not till later this afternoon but luckily I've a busy day ahead! Will update tonight as have to rush get the kids after.

Morning sickness and headache back! Agghhh. So annoying. Feel knackered. I did do cardio yesterday though @ShiningStarz 😇 felt so good. Body fit by Amy has some nice prenatal ones on YouTube if anyone's looking.

@ShiningStarz I'm afraid that tummy gets worse and after 16 weeks you're told to not sleep on your back. I would recommend a pregnancy pillow!

@hannahs87 I felt fine after about 9 weeks with my other two! This one is a different story. All pregnancies are different, I know it's so hard to not compare though. Yah to eating food! I can't stomach meat and veg still! I just want plain carbs! I feel lardy but haven't gained much!

I’m having a giggle to myself today!
I felt like a balloon last / days, literally looked like I could be 6 months pregnant!!! Then I did 2 pretty long 💨🙈 and I’m deflated!! I do seem to have a little bump though!! Didn’t think I’d be showing for another few weeks yet!!
@ChipsAreLife do you remember when you started showing with your first?
I’ll look at that body fit! My consultant says get back to gym and swimming. The hospital I go to offer physio exercise in pregnancy class, must sign up to that!

@ShiningStarz with my first I don't think I started showing until way after 20w scan, I keep it from everyone until about 22w and everyone was totally shocked!

Second time around I've had so much trouble with the nausea I've had to eat almost constantly so am so bloated and think this time it'll be obvious quite soon!

Wow @HugeAgeGap I think I need to go on a diet lol!!!

Hi all, sorry i’ve been AWOL for a few weeks! Hope you are all doing well, I need to catch up on the thread! I’m 11+4 now, got my scan on the 16th when i’ll be 13 weeks. Can’t wait for it to be here!!! Still feeling a bit sickly although it is easing I think. I mostly just feel moody at the moment haha! Hope everyone is good 😊
