I’m due on the 21st! Guessing they will show up when they feel like though - due guess would be more accurate Smile

Sunshine8888 · 22/01/2020 20:58

2nd May for me!! The third trimester is scarily close!!

avocadont · 22/01/2020 21:22

@sazzlerazzle my partner was at the midwife appointment with me when I got my MAT B1 form and he asked for a separate one to hand in to his employer and she said that the employer would need the same MAT B1 form because of the reference number and just to photocopy it to hand to them, I don't know it that helps you.

avocadont · 22/01/2020 21:29

I'm due 3rd!!!

woollycat · 22/01/2020 21:42

I am due 21st too @GinUnicorn! Looks like a few of us are very close to each other!

mummyje20 · 22/01/2020 22:48

@facevalue hiya, thank you Thanks. I'm 23w today. No other health issues that could explain it, I've always had migraines but the blood pressure is up and down constantly now and was always really good before. I had another appt today which wasn't helpful as she couldn't find baby's heartbeat for ages and she also said due to another unrelated condition I should have been having growth scans. Just feels like one thing after another and I so desperately want to keep baby safe (just like everyone else on here!)
We have to move house and it wasn't expected. We will be fine, we will find somewhere but I'm just feeling the stress & pressure- still working very full time and studying too, alongside family ill health and I'm just struggling to keep afloat at this stage!
On a nice note, i organised all her little clothes Smilecan't wait til she's here to wear them!
Have you started organising and stuff?

facevalue · 23/01/2020 04:01

i'm due 18may but having c sec on the 12th! 😂

@mummyje20 oh babe. that is seriously stressful and you still sound on top of it all. a huge virtual hug to you. we are having a couple of bathrooms redone in march and i'm bloody stressed about the cost and mess! awww it's such a pleasure to be having a little girl ( i love girls after having my DD) - i thought i was the only one nesting big time but you sound like you are too 😂

second night that i struggle to sleep- not in pain not uncomfortable no naps i work full time and look after a toddler! maybe i'm stressed my heart is beating fast

I also went back to the Gp this morning to recheck the lump under my arm which has been there since b4 xmas- i was 15 mins late ( sick child no sleep and struggled to find parking) so she refused to see me😳 so i politely insisted and explained i regularly wait over an hour to see a GP and never complain so i wanted special treatment for a change and to be seen ( with a huge apology from my side) told the secretary to call the GP to pass my message- i'm not going unless i get seen🙄 she saw me and arrange an urgent ultrasound- bought them a box of chocolates and a thank you card

sometimes ppl can be unkind because of stress or time pressures - i wish we all can stop and look after each other more in this society

i'm talking crap at 4am 😂😂😂😂 sorry

Herewego2020 · 23/01/2020 09:50

Hey ladies having to catch up on what I've missed. I've been very stressed as our house move got moved for a THIRD time to end of March now due to an access road not being finished! So we living surrounded by boxes still and my teenager is very unhappy about the long wait.. all fun and games. Then at uni on Tuesday I slipped down concrete stairs in front of the world and his dog.. luckily just grazed my elbow and hurt side of my back. I looked like a washed up blonde seal, thankfully someone picked me up but I'm sure many enjoyed the show lol. Shes still very active so she probably enjoyed the ride lol. I can't wait to go maternity leave at work now!!!!!! I end up sitting on the net all day it's boring.
Oh has injured himself at the gym and can't move his neck so I was looking after him at 3am this morning.. i say looking after i was actually wetting myself laughing. My bladder is so weak right now.. I sneeze and have to cross my legs. What is this suggested app I need again for the pelvic floor exercises please 😂

Herewego2020 · 23/01/2020 09:55

This should all give you a giggle.. this was not my 13 year old or 10 year old sons who put the meerkat in there.. it was my grown arse oh... who is constantly pushing it round at any given chance..

@herewego2020, I use the nhs Squeezy app. Be warned, it stalks you!!

Raindancer411 · 23/01/2020 14:13

Oh gawd, I feel like I am living at the hospital lately for this pregnancy and I am only 23+2. I was in the kitchen this morning and went all light headed, face felt hot, could hear my heart in my ears and legs felt weak. I sat down and after taking my son to school rang the hospital midwives.

Of course with my palpations etc they wanted me to go in for an ECG. All checks they did came back ok but they are putting me foward for a 24hr hour heart monitor to see if they can catch the palpations then.

She asked if I get breathless and I said I do when going up stairs or up a slight hill (but thought this is normal for pregnancy and the previous consultant I mentioned it too didnt seem worried).

Its a bit worrying but hoping that these palps and lightheadedness are all just where I have the extra blood building in my system and will ease after 28/29 week mark.

sao81 · 23/01/2020 18:43

@Herewego2020 thats so funny 🤣 I remember telling my dad that baby was size of a butternut squash. Came home to see he had drew a baby face on one and stuck a nappy on it 🤦‍♀️ I forgot it was just chilling on the window ledge when the midwife came round for my 36 week appointment, I near died!

@Raindancer411 aah I hope you feel abit better soon 💖💖

I've requested my MAT leave, with holidays Ill be finishing work at 32 weeks. I think another 10 weeks for me is going to be a struggle with how things are at the moment, but I just can't see myself lasting any longer with how I am now

Raindancer411 · 23/01/2020 19:02

@sao81 Thank you :)

My DH handed in a copy of my MATB1 and had his letter today. It seems that as they are treating it fairly over both sexed, he will start his leave on the due date (unless it arrives earlier). So if it's late we may have a few days just relaxing lol

mummyje20 · 23/01/2020 19:22

@facevalue aw thank you! I'm well excited for my little girly :) im genuinely in awe of you with a toddler I have no idea how you're doing this 😳 superwoman! I'm so glad you got seen, well done for sticking up for yourself coz that's hard to do at times (particularly pregnant coz I prob will end up crying in frustration 😂)
Ah no sleep sounds rough 😫
When's your ultrasound?

sao81 · 23/01/2020 19:47

@facevalue only just saw your post, and snap! My daughter hasnt had a full night sleep since xmas day, trying to juggle her and work is exhausting, so I can only say I hope you get some rest soon! Xx

OP posts:
facevalue · 23/01/2020 20:08

thanks @sao81 i'm lucky my husband is half decent cos he's putting to bed while i zombie😑 i'll probably collapse on the sofa now until tomorrow

@mummyje20 i was so exhausted and really would have snapped especially when 😡i waited for a parking space and this nasty old lady drove into it😲 i told her u can see i've signalled and the traffic is waiting for me to get in ... she said oh your car is too big so u can't fit anyway 😧😧😧😧 - i'm shocked how rude ! i am still thinking to bloody kick her car if i see it ever again👹👺 no apology nothing and she gets out with her walking stick 😰 so the GP had better see me or i probably would have cried too 🙄

facevalue · 23/01/2020 20:10

@mummyje20 no idea when the scan she just ordered it today.

Clairesoph · 23/01/2020 20:14

Just tryna catch up a bit, I'm so out of the loop but I'm so tired in an evening that I barely last past 8.30. I work in a nursery with 18month old to about 30 month old toddlers four days a week and I have an 18 month old of my own for the rest of the time. He is teething badly atm and was up between 1.30 and 4.30 am last night 😩 we have also just moved into a new house and we are having the bathroom done this weekend, starting an extension in March and still will be needing to replace the kitchen and knock walls about. I'm feeling very much like I've bitten off more than I can chew at this point. Mat leave starts April 17th and I'm counting down every last second, my little boy will still do 3 days a week at nursery and I can't wait to be able to actually chill for a few weeks before baby number two makes his appearance. Anyway, enough moaning!

Anyone been super organised and done their nursery yet? I LOVE seeing what other people do!!!

GinUnicorn · 23/01/2020 20:44

@woollycat that’s so exciting - will have to keep each other posted on the day Smile

@november90 just checking in on you. Hope you are okay.

I’m sorry baby brain here so can’t remember who posted but thanks for the funny picture. I’m glad I’m not the only one!

Moongirl10 · 23/01/2020 21:42

Does anyone else feel really emotional just randomly? I just waddled through a train at rush hour desperately looking for a seat and then finally some nice man got up and gave me his. Feel just like I want to cry because I’m so grateful but yet feel bad that he gave up his seat for me!

woollycat · 24/01/2020 07:10

@GinUnicorn definitely! Remind me - is this your first? It is mine!

mintbear · 24/01/2020 07:25

Morning ladies
I'm 26 + 1 today and I was just doing my pelvic floor exercises and thought my nipple feels cold, looked down and I've leaked. Not loads, just a small amount. This is my first pregnancy, it just caught me off guard! Is this happening to anyone else?

Raindancer411 · 24/01/2020 09:32

It starts to happen in the third trimester. I remember with my first I had to wear pads to bed as if I laid a certain way I leaked.
