@november20. Just read back through the posts - I'm so sorry to hear about your situation. Hope everything has calmed down a little and that your ok.
Keep Calm and focus on yourself and baby...

Sunshine8888 · 28/01/2020 13:56

@mintbear @May2311 @123Pandy - we went to Vienna in December so that was my last trip abroad. I’m a bit scared to fly now because my husband’s friend’s wife ended up having her baby prematurely in Italy at 29 weeks, nightmare!! They were stuck there for about 2 months! It put me off going too far away even though I know it’s very rare! So our babymoon is in Cornwall for 3 nights at a hotel called the scarlet which is really special to us. My husband took me when we first got together and we also returned when we hit rock bottom in our marriage a couple of years ago. It’s a place of sheer relaxation with the most lovely views of the sea and a wonderful spa. We’ve upgraded the room to one of the top ones and I am having a 4 hour pregnant spa journey which I’m very excited about! It’s also my husband’s birthday when there so have booked the clifftop hot tub and they’ll lower the temp so I can go in and also booked a Michelin starred restaurant for the evening ☺️ I honestly can’t wish! Very indulgent but it’s adult only and I just won’t have the money to splash out like that once I’m not working full time! Where are you off to @123pandy?

Sunshine8888 · 28/01/2020 13:57

Ps. I am currently lying on the hard floor in my office with the door closed because my back and ribs ache so much from sitting at my desk 🙈

Caspianberg · 28/01/2020 14:09

@Sunshine8888 - I feel similar! Supposed to working productively, but my arms hurt so much from the 3 separate blood tests this morning combined with back that I'm sitting at the table (at home) typing like a t-rex.

helpasisterout · 28/01/2020 18:25

Anyone else feel like their bump has just popped out? I'm 24 weeks tomorrow and would struggle to hide it now!

mintbear · 28/01/2020 18:32

@helpasisterout my bump popped out at about 12 weeks and has been huge ever since!

Weird question. Anyone finding that their jaw/face is aching?? I feel like my face is starting puff!

woollycat · 28/01/2020 18:42

I am 23+5 and my bump is still pretty hideable. I wear loose tops and no one can tell! If I wear a tight fitting dress, then you can see it but it might still be mistaken for a stomach!

sao81 · 28/01/2020 20:09

Just catching up now...

I second @facevalue on metanium cream, the best we have ever used!
@november90 I hope you're keeping ok, please please don't blame yourself hes being incredibly selfish and showing more about his character in a week than he could of in those years! Try to focus on your boys 💙
@may2311 did you try pillows? As wondering if this will help me! I was thinking of buying one of those giant pregnancy pillows to help when I sleep.
@mintbear i agree with the bedrest, I've been off for 4 days and have managed going the shop with no crutches today! I got a new belt off physio it has 3 different straps and it really helps. My physio said they don't need to see me again they've provided all they can, so if I get worse I'll see a consultant 😬
@Sunshine8888 the pre pregnancy bras got packed away about 4 weeks ago for me 😂

Has anyone had any problems getting bloods taken? I've been really dizzy and lightheaded, so getting tested for a few things. Been to 2 different phlebotomists who havent been able to draw any blood, I ended up having a panic attack in the car park because im terrified of them having to draw blood from my wrists (i have a weird thing with wrists after them taking blood from them after i delivered my first). I dont know what I can try tomorrow to get the blood! Ive drank tonnes of water but it didnt work

OP posts:
mintbear · 28/01/2020 20:34

@sao81 I'm the opposite, I can not have blood taken from my arm, they have to do it from my hand. They use a different needle and I always use magic (kids) numbing cream, you can buy from boots.
Keep up with drinking water and good luck

sao81 · 28/01/2020 21:07

@mintbear in the past when they've had no choice they've had to wiggle in my hand to get a vein its so uncomfortable! I think I'm that all over the place atm everything is making me upset, bloods included

Sunshine8888 · 28/01/2020 22:26

@sao81, I have a giant pregnancy pillow and I love it!!

@helpasisterout, I have well and truly popped now, there is no hiding the bump!

Baby has been super active tonight. It looks like I have an alien in my stomach, we can see her moving around in there 😂 I think because amniotic fluid has decreased so much now I’m feeling movement more than ever! I’m sure I felt her hiccuping yesterday, just gentle little regular movements ☺️ So cute

Layladylay234 · 28/01/2020 22:30

Girls, I've posted on pregnancy but can i have your advice on this..

Since 7pm this evening I've been having period like cramps. Not massively sore but bad enough for a hot water bottle. My urine is really dark and cloudy despite drinking about 1.5 litres of water today. I have really bad heartburn and as burping loads as normal at about 6pm so partner made me a cup of peppermint tea. Then I had a really bad bout of diarrohea and everything seems to have started from that.

I rang the maternity assessment unit at 22.00 and they didn't seem overly worried, depite me mentioning that I think there's also reduced movement (which I know is not surprising for this many weeks) but with everything combined, shouldn't they be more worried?

Do you think I should just go down to A and E anyway?

facevalue · 28/01/2020 22:46

@layladylay234 i don't think anyone will or can tell you don't go to A&E . you go if u need to do that.

what you describe doesn't sound that worrying to me. i get period cramps, burping, heartburn, dark urine, often think baby isn't moving so much but i'm only 24+3 weeks so if you are more weeks pregnant or it's your first pregnancy then obviously u will worry! also having diarrhea isn't unusual sadly cos our immune system is low and our bodies try to get rid of toxins with diarrhea ...
it's my second so i'm not worried reading your symptoms- i do feel more relaxed because i've been through a pregnancy so i kind of know what's normal for me but it's your body - please make sure u r checked if u need that x

Layladylay234 · 28/01/2020 22:50

Thanks @facevalue. It's my second child but my first was ten years ago. I think I'm mostly concerned because this has all happened very quickly and I've had none of these problems before. They've literally all started over three past 3-4 hours.

facevalue · 28/01/2020 23:09

@layladylay234 . there's a tummy virus going around. we had it last week d&v for 6 hours i thought i was dying😰 but just kept sipping water and let it run its course. 😘 try to get rest - it sounds like a virus

Lindacraig14 · 29/01/2020 00:56

I’m new to the thread. I’m also due May 16w left can’t wait hating this pregnancy so much

facevalue · 29/01/2020 04:32

@lindacraig14 oh dear! why hating it? i love being pregnant 😍. is it your first?

Lindacraig14 · 29/01/2020 10:36

@facevalue its my 2nd pregnancy, for the first few weeks I was on needles I had vomiting and now I’ve got SPD. I don’t sleep can’t wait for her to be out but I have 16w left 😂

sao81 · 29/01/2020 20:36

@mintbear went back today, they had to use a baby needle on me 🙈 but got them after a good 20 minutes haha. Now to wait and see what it is I'm low in. They've tested for a full blood count, folate, b12, thyroid and iron so hopefully get some answers! Either that or I'm just a drama queen who isn't cut out for pregnancy 🤣

facevalue · 29/01/2020 21:23

how are we today ladies? i was up since 3am so i had a completely unproductive wasteful useless day at work! from the tiredness i felt weepy too OBVIOUSLY🤪 ... had my scan - said it's just normal looking smooth lymph nodes so they would just ignore them. if they grow bigger to go to the GP 😳

123Pandy · 29/01/2020 22:27

@Sunshine8888 we are off to Oman in a few weeks :)
Your staycation sounds absolutely divine!
@facevalue same here. Feeling so tired over the past week. I read that there's a growth spurt at 24 weeks so can't take it out of you

Sunshine8888 · 29/01/2020 22:38

I feel like the first trimester tiredness has returned already 😴😣 also I get so hungry but then feel so unwell after eating with indigestion and heartburn - this only started in the last couple of days and I’m hating it 🤢

Sunshine8888 · 29/01/2020 22:50

@123Pandy I’ve heard good things about Oman! That’ll be lovely

facevalue · 30/01/2020 00:01

is anyone else so pathetic to read a work email at this hour - from a colleague literally telling me off that my previous email that i sent at 3pm was confusing - she felt the need to send this at 10:30 pm! hubby asleep and i'm crying in bed. why do people feel the need to give email lectures when they could simply talk over a coffee in a friendly way.

i feel crap now and i know i won't sleep
